I have been a huge fan of The Weeknd over maybe 2 years, and I could say that he's been one of the few artists that I admire in this generation. I don't know why but every time I listen to him, I feel like he understands me in so many ways. I feel like he's been so misunderstood by his music, especially in his first couple of songs that he recorded. Talking about drugs, sex, alcohol, etc, however, people don't really understand the meaning behind it. He expressed his lonely life, how he felt at that period of his life, and that makes his music more humane, well in my opinion. Yes, he's always admitted that he just likes to fuck girls and likes to be high, if you listen to XO/The Host or Kiss Land. But he at the same time is saying that he's been hurt by people of the past, people who he gave everything and never believed in him that he gave up on what people think of him. It took me like a year to actually fully understand every meaning at his songs, and I think he's an amazing songwriter.

I love his transition of his album Trilogy to Beauty Behind The Madness(BBTM) & Starboy, I think is like closing a chapter of his life and the beginning of new era. Most people don't like BBTM or Starboy because he's not using the dark & depressed lyrics/beats that he used for Trilogy. However, keep this in mind that he was in such dark moment of his life, people were using him, betraying him, etc, that music was his escapism, he used his emotions and his lifestyle for his music. Also, he described how people were coming back to him when he was starting to be recognized by other artists, like Drake, Kanye West, etc. While none of those people in his life were there for him, as he said in Same Old Song. I personally love Trilogy, however, I can say that Starboy is such a great album too. I believe that the beat of Starboy, makes people remember the songs from the 80s/90s, and especially MJ. Which I personally love it not for just being an MJ fan, but I have seen that ever since The Weeknd came out people compare him to MJ, and that makes people remember Michael and his music. When I remember that every time people mentioned Michael Jackson was just talking bullshit about him, and now personally have seen that it has decreased a lot more that I used to see. Not only that, but I love the lyrics in Starboy I think he is comparing his life how it used to be, to how he is now. I do believe that he is ten times better than he used to be since he started, not by just his music but also I have seen how he is blessed for the people that have been there since the beginning, especially his fandom. & I have to admit, his fandom(The real XO Fam) is so chill like they gave his space, they understand him like I haven't seen anything crazy from them like other fandoms (including some people of MJfam). So yeah that's all wanted to say. Also, I'm going to throw some pics of Abel just for the sake of it!
