Tanks, fire, explosions
Buildings crumbling
People screaming
Life ending, dying
Suffering

And for what?
Greed, power, authoritarianism
A nuclear power plant
That caused half a million deaths 30 years ago
Now in grave danger once again

Born in Eastern Europe
I feel disgust
Towards the government trying
To regain what fell apart and should never exist again
Socialism in Eastern Europe should remain dead!

I feel despair, my soul hurts for the innocence lost, endangered
I feel rage
Rage against the machine
Europe needs to come together and save this embattled country

I feel betrayal that my birth country's current president
Stands with the Kremlin maniac
Putting even Belarus at risk, disregarding the population
For selfish purposes

These people are no better then Hitler, Mussolini, Caligula, or Vlad the Impaler
G-d is crying but through our prayers, help can come as can karma
I am but one person
But let my soul's pain, cries, mixed with support, encouragement, and solidarity
Stand with the people of Ukraine, like never before
