The Fight
[Merlyn walks through the countryside to Camelot.]
KILGHARRAH: No young woman, no matter how great, can know her destiny. She cannot glimpse her part in the great story that is about to unfold. Like everyone, she must live and learn. And so it will be for the young witch arriving at the gates of Camelot. A girl that will, in time, mother the legend. Her name: Merlyn.
"Young witch? Even back in Camelot you were a witch?!" Arthur said with wide eyes, turning to his wife, that he just learned had been lying to him.
"Damn. I was hoping you wouldn't catch that bit." Merlyn said with a slight grimace.
"I'm not an idiot, Merlyn!" Arthur said, standing up.
"Well, considering for ten years you never fathomed it out, and also any time I told you, you told me to 'stop being an idiot Merlyn' and then changed it to something else... You kind of are..." She said before trailing off. "I'm not helping." She said awkwardly. "Arthur, I'm sorry. I really am. I wanted to tell you, to show you, so badly.. But every time I tried you either didn't believe me or something happened before I could actually bring it up and show you or anything so eventually I just stopped trying." She told him sadly.
"I thought I knew you." Arthur said, sitting down in his spot, and she sighed as she went over and sat next to him on the ground.
"I'm still the same person. Well more or less, it has been 1000 years for me." She told him, with a small smile in amusement, which quickly left, knowing he wasn't as amused as she was in this moment.
"I trusted you." He told her, and just like the first time she heard those words, she froze slightly before burying her feelings, knowing that everyone was now watching the two of them.
"I'm sorry." She told him.
"I'm sorry too." He told her honestly and she nodded before she noticed his shirt wasn't done the right way and laughed slightly.
"You never could get dressed without help." She said in amusement before reaching over and helping him fix it.
"What are you doing?" He asked her, frowning.
"Fixing your clothes, because you're a child who doesn't know how to get dressed without help." She said simply in amusement as she continued to fix it. He only sighed and let her do it.
Everyone watched the two of them carefully. No one except those from Camelot knew exactly what was going on right now. But they were still watching the girl that they all knew and mostly loved with the guy that almost none of them knew, and almost none of them understood their relationship or connection, but those that did were holding their breaths in wait for what was going to happen. Because if any relationship was going to survive this whole thing it had to be theirs or everything was going to end horribly.
"Why are you doing this? Why are you still behaving like a servant? As you said it's been over 1500 years for you and I know the truth now." Arthur asked her, she took a breath as she finished fixing the shirt.
"It's my destiny. As it has been since the day we met." She said honestly.
"I tried to take your head off with a mace." He told her with furrowed brows and everyone that hadn't known that looked at them baffled.
"And I stopped you, using magic." She admitted with a small smile.
"You cheated!" He said in exasperation.
"You were going to kill me." She defended in amusement, as everyone looked at them with wide eyes.
"I should've."
"I'm glad you didn't. I do this because of who you are. Without you, Camelot's nothing." She told him honestly. It was proven when he died, Camelot fell only a couple hundred years later, and it started with his death.
"There was a time when that was true. Not now. There are many who can fill the crown." He said, doubting himself.
"There will never be another like you, Arthur. I tell you this as someone who knows the future of Camelot, as a fellow Royal, and as your friend and wife. Now, I also do this... because you're my best friend, and my husband and no matter what, I'll always love you." She said to him, looking him in the eyes to show she means it.
"Why did you never tell me?" Arthur asked, sounding sad and upset over it.
"I wanted to, but..." She trailed off with a shrug and shaking her head slightly.
"What?" He pushed.
"You'd have chopped my head off." She joked in slight amusement, trying to relieve some of the tension.
"I'm not sure what I would've done." He said honestly.
"And I didn't want to put you in that position." She said and he looked up at her as if just seeing her clearly for the first time.
"That's what worried you?" He asked and she sighed, looking at the others around them as she spoke to him.
"Some people are born to plow fields, some live to be great physicians, others to be great kings and queens." She said before looking at him, "Me, I was originally born to serve you, Arthur. And I'm proud of that. And I wouldn't change a thing. I'm just glad that along the way we fell in love." Arthur stares at Ivy. 'Thinking maybe he has been wrong the whole time'.
Everyone watched the two of them. Only those from Camelot really understood the two of them, none more that Gwen and Gaius who had both been there from the start. Merlyn and Arthur had always been complicated, but they loved each other, even if they didn't always show it, and they would die for each other without a second thought. Which they'd both proved over a thousand times by now. I mean, Merlyn even continued to be Arthur's servant even after she became Queen because she didn't want him to go anywhere where she couldn't protect him. And Arthur didn't want to be without Merlyn, the one person he always knew he could trust, by his side.
Those who weren't from Camelot watched them closely, or were looking at or holding her other boyfriends/husbands as they all watched the two of them. It was hard for some of them and romantic for others to see. But everyone knew not to take any of it personally what she did. There were 18 men she loved in that room from other lives and they all knew that she was technically cheating because of that fact, but it didn't help them feel better as they watched the woman they loved with another guy.
"Would you like to sit with us?" Ivy asked Arthur, nodding over at Hope.
"Is it alright with her?" Arthur asked Ivy and they looked at Hope who nodded and waved them over.
"It's fine. In fact anyone who wants to join are more than welcome to do so." Hope said honestly.
"Well then, it seems we're going to need something bigger." Ivy told her with an amused smile, before raising her hands at the sofa she'd been sitting at. "It's been a minute since I've done it, so it might take a try or two." She warned them before closing her eyes and taking a breath. When she opened them again they were bright gold, "Mutatio sella." She muttered moving her hands apart, making the chair a lot bigger. "Yes!" She said, pumping a hand into the air and hitting Arthur in the face as she did so. "Oh my Gods I'm so sorry!" She laughed in amusement, before kissing him lightly and quickly as she continued to laugh in amusement.
"That was amazing, Ivy!" Hermione told her in amazement.
"I haven't done a spell like that in a thousand years! Mama's back bitches." She said, running her fingers through the top of her hair and ruffling it slightly, before turning to Harry, "Voldy is so screwed."
"HE'S NOT BACK!" The pink blob yelled.
"Bitch, shut the hell up!" Ivy yelled, turning to her. "Before I lit that stupid ass hat you're wearing on fire!"
"You dare-"
"Yes! I dare! I finally dare! You know why? Because right now, you have no high ground to stand on. I am Merlyn. The Last Dragon Lord, the first Dragon Lady. Queen of Camelot. And Mary Queen of Scots you bitch. And guess where we are, right the hell now? This Castle is not only in Scotland, it's also the Camelot Castle and the Narnia Castle. Where I was also the High Queen. Meaning I own your ass three ways till Sunday and if you don't shut the hell up I will fuck you up." She told the woman as everything in the room started shaking. And as Merlyn started taking steps forward chunks of the earth came up to meet her feet, allowing her to walk into the air and over to the pink toad. "You came into this school. My school. My Kingdom. My home. You terrified my teachers, my friends. You've turned the houses against each other more than ever before. You've stopped teaching the kids how to defend themselves. And worst of all? You've started cutting up the Goddamn kids of the school!" She yelled, slamming her fists onto the table in front of the woman as everyone watched with wide eyes. Either scared, turned on, shocked, or all three.
"I-"
"No! I'm still fucking talking!" Ivy yelled over her as everyone watched, "By the time we are done here I will be putting you in a grave right next to Freya. Don't test my power, and do not tempt my fury." She threatened again.
"She's been cutting you all?" McGonagall asked after a minute.
"Yep, every single one of us. She puts us in detention and his us write lines with the quills that use our own blood, and as we write the more scars show up. The harder we right the deeper the wound, and so on. Just about everyone here has them. Mine ready; 'I must not tell lies, and I must be Lady-like'." She said, holding up her arm for McGonagall to see.
"I should have added no breeding half-breeds. Or befriending them. Or-"
"What did you just call my family, friends and I?" Ivy asked, cutting her off.
"Half-breeds-" Before anyone could stop her, Ivy was on top of the woman, beating the shit out of her. No one could get her off of the woman until Hagrid stepped in and pulled Ivy off of her.
"Don't stoop her level, Ivy! Don't be a killer!" McGonagall told her.
"What's one more on my very long list?" Ivy snapped, still trying to kill the woman.
It took almost an hour to get Ivy to calm down. And in that time everyone reeled from the news that she's killed people in these other life's (at least for those that didn't know she was a killer in the life they knew her from), and the news that Umbitch had been cutting up the kids.
Umbridge was quickly arrested... And then killed as soon as Merlyn gave the command to her followers, friends and family. Who were all more than happy to do it.
They then dragged the body off to another room somewhere else in the castle.
