Part 156: Meta Take Down Squad Assemble-1

Hawks's story was brief. He'd been flying around on patrol, noticed the Metas following him like vultures, and flown out into the country where no one could see or get caught up in it.

He had fully expected to die. Between the ones chasing him and the drones, it was only a matter of time before he ran out of both luck and feathers.

He was not happy with Wally though.

"You shouldn't have interfered. It was my fight," he said.

"I wonder how all this would have played out if we weren't here," Wally said to Shine, completely ignoring Hawks.

"My money says he would have either killed someone by now or gone rogue or been eliminated already." Shine tapped the table with her fingertips.

"Ouch," Dabi said, amused.

"Well, since that didn't happen," Wally said, "I'm not really sorry I saved your sorry behind, Bird Man. It's just kind of pathetic how you're mad at me over it. Like, am I Mr. Incredible now?"

"Solid reference, hon," Shine said.

"Thanks, babe."

"Am I the only one who remembers Endeavor will be here soon?" Dabi said.

"All right, all right, I'll send you home," Shine said, "and then, I have to make another call. Whew, twice in one day."

* * *

Mirko had considered going back out on patrol again after Shine left, but then she looked at her social media and decided no.

It was harder to want to go out there with so many potential enemies on the hunt, but she also couldn't hide out forever. She hated feeling like that.

Was it better for the population if she laid low or if she did her job? That was hard to say too.

She was just training when Shine called her again.

"What, there's more?" she answered.

"I love how you never just say hello," Shine said dryly, "Always have to sound annoyed-- real power move. Look, in no uncertain terms, Rumi, the bird is down."

It took a second for Mirko to get that.

"What you mean...down, down? Dead?"

"No, cut it close though. With us. We're going to try to help but could use back up. Perhaps the LOV should be aware of this too. In fact, I need to ask something. Can I pop back over?"

"I guess you could." Mirko left her space and found Shigaraki in the same place as before. "Likstar wants to come back."

"I think I've had enough for one day."

"Hawks was attacked," Mirko stated, "It's an emergency."

Shigaraki put down his controls with the air of someone accepting that their life is just never going to get any better.

"She'd better hurry it up, then."

A minute later Shine was back and the rest of the LOV, except Toga and Twice as usual, were around to hear this.

"Why did the number 2 hero end up with those guys anyway?" Medea asked.

"We still really don't know," Shigaraki told her, "but he's no friend to us. He probably wanted them to weed us out."

"Genius move," Mirko said.

They glared at her.

"From his perspective," she clarified, "It's not like you're allies."

"Yeah, there's a reason for that," Compress said dryly.

"I've never really asked this," Shine said, leaning on her hand, "but why did you ever work with the Metas at all?"

"It was a ruse-- to take them down," Shigaraki said.

"They played us," Compress added, "They wanted to wipe us out...but then we struck a deal."

"Wow," Shine said, "I think you mentioned that, but they just straight up wanted to kill you? Why? Your goals don't conflict."

"Apparently that wasn't what they thought, but it was Shigaraki they wanted to kill," Spinner said, "and Twice they wanted to recruit. Maybe some of the rest of us too. Not Toga. Tried to kill her."

[I wanted to preserve the LOV longer as their original unit than in the canon timeline.]

"Okay, seeing why you don't like them now," Shine said, "But why not Shigaraki?"

"You know, it was kind of unclear why they hate him..." Compress said. At least it was unclear to him.

"Simple law of takeover-- eliminate boss and then you get followers," Silk said, "Not always case, but many villains are like dogs, need master. They not understand LOV is like a real team. They are not as cold as that."

"Those monsters were heartless anyway," Shigaraki said, not liking the memory, "They just messed with Twice's heart and mind."

Mirko looked at him weirdly.

"Wow," Medea said, "Cold... I don't like them either now, and I've never met them."

"They'd recruit you," Spinner said.

"I must say," Shine leaned back, "while villains interest me, nothing I ever dug up on the Metas really struck a chord. I agree with them that quirks are too regulated, but the god complex they have because of it is just off the charts. The solution is not to just destroy everyone else...and for what purpose? What benefit? I really don't get it."

"They were real creeps," Compress said, "You should hear what they put Twice and Toga through. Not that Toga is not crazy enough already...but Twice would die for any one of us."

Compress was not usually this animated.

"It's true," Spinner agreed, "He might be mad, but still, torturing him is just...well, unfair. Really. Like torturing an animal."

Shine nodded. "I agree. I don't even dislike Twice myself, though he won't really talk to me. He seems like a good guy, in his own weird way."

"Whatever the case," Shigaraki broke in again, "the Metas will show you absolutely no mercy. That's the long and short of it. And they aren't like us, reasonable. So if Hawks is on the run from them, you'd better think of a way to throw them off track fast...without another Gigantomachia handy. Not sure what you'd do to stop them, though."

[Editor's note:  Gigantomachia was the name of a war between the giants and the gods. I think Rick Riordan wrote a version of it in the Heroes of Olympus series. Which is inferior to his Percy Jackson series, but had a few cool characters.]

"Well, clearly that didn't even work," Shine said, "but I appreciate the insight into how they work. I didn't think talking to them would help. You're right, they aren't like you. They probably don't care if some of their members go down for the 'greater good'... How I hate that phrase now..." She rubbed her forehead. "I should get back and discuss this with the others."

"Wait, I want to come." Mirko got up. "Hawks is...well...an ass, but still, I'll be pissed if the Metas get to kill him before I get a shot in."

"I thought you might say that," Shine said, "Anybody else?"

Silence.

"You want us to come?" Spinner spoke weirdly.

"Why not? You're basically our team now too," Shine said, "and if I may say, half of you are smarter than the Pro heroes. No offense, Rumi."

Mirko sniffed.

"Actually your info could be useful," Shine added.

"Yes, but why would we want to help Hawks?" Shigaraki said.

"Well, I don't know. You want the Metas to kill him?" Shine said.

"Yeah, that was kind of our plan," Spinner said, "Let them take care of it."

Shine's eyes flared gold. "Oh, sure...let them win. I'm sure it won't backfire later or anything. And we don't owe Hawks anything for his help in the past despite his obvious distrust. But hey, if that's what you want, flip that coin."

Silence.

"But how many more times can we get roped into helping heroes?" Compress wondered.

"Couldn't they say the same about you?" Shine said, "Look...guys...if you'd just stop thinking of it in those terms, you'd find these decisions a whole lot easier. How often do you hesitate based on someone's label?"

The answer was clearly every time.

"Because who can we trust?" Spinner said.

"Technically speaking, that doesn't change with the label. Either someone will stab you in the back when it suits them, or they won't. Doesn't matter what side they say they're on. There's rats on both sides, and don't I know it," Shine countered, "You know you really can't use that as a litmus test. With that logic, you could trust the Metas. They count as villains to the Pros. You see why this question is pointless? Should you or should you not help Hawks, the individual, is the only question you should be asking. And the only one I ever ask, fyi. That's why I'm here. You'd know true freedom if you tossed the labels aside."

"Preach it," Medea said readily. They looked at her.

"What? I never cared about it anyway," she said.

Shine tapped her chin. "You decide, okay? Give me a few minutes, Rumi." She vanished again into a flash of light.

"One too many times we're going to get involved," Compress warned Shigaraki. "Think about it. We have no resources right now, except just barely enough to squeeze by. We're still waiting for the Egghead to get all this sorted out. Sooner or later, if we stick our necks out like this, we'll get them chopped."

Mirko rolled her eyes. Typical Villain way to think.

She tapped her foot impatiently, waiting for Shine.

"Never seems to bother you." Medea looked at her intently. "Why do you not care?"

Mirko shrugged. "Safety has never been my priority... Actually this kind of resolves my problem. If I can't be sure I'm not followed out on the field, I'd rather be doing something useful. So I guess this is it. It worked out."

"I guess the ninja really got you tripping." Medea's lack of filter struck again, to Mirko's annoyance.

"I kind of like that though," Medea said, "Mind if I tag along?"

"Wait, did we say you could?" Shigaraki said.

"Are you gonna stop me?" Medea challenged, "Didn't we just go over this with Silk? If I want to, then I can, right?"

Silence.

"It would ill advised," Compress said, "Anyway, you're a minor."

"I'm sure all the stuff I've done for you all is so legal, too," Medea sniffed, "I kind of liked saving people. It was a real rush, and it's not something Lethe ever would do. Hawks might be an idiot, but it's more fun than dying of boredom around here. Why can't I go? And it's important intel, too."

"That could be true..." Shigaraki said.

"Shine literally just said that," Mirko said.

"He likes it better if one of us says it," Compress said. "But if I may be the voice of reason, it's risking our necks for someone we don't even owe that much. Hawks was always just a pawn. I appreciate Likstar's inability to let anyone die, but we don't have to share it. And it's highly improbable they'll really be able to protect him anyway."

"Silk, you're the bleeding heart," Spinner said, "What's your take?"

"I would go either way," Silk said, "I don't really see any obligation to Hawks, but if you all want to help, I support. Is useful to know what the Metas are about. He seems likely to be most up to date. Is nicer than hiding like mice, too."

"So should we all go?" Spinner said, "If that's what you're going to do anyway." Meaning Medea.

"We don't need that many people on it," Compress said, "but I suppose if the girls go, I'll go. Someone had to keep a clear head."

Silk snapped him with the edge of her scarf.  Not that hard, just a jolt.

"I meant Medea." He rubbed his arm.

Medea sniffed but didn't argue.

"If you're going to go, I'd better come to make sure you can warp away if there's a problem," Shigaraki sighed, "Likstar will probably be exhausting herself, knowing her."

"She might do that. I wonder how much energy she used already..." Compress mused.

Mirko cocked her ears. "So you all want to come just to hear this? Well, fine. I guess I'll let her know. How do those portal things work, anyway? Can more than one person use them?"

"I believe they are unlimited, but I don't think she's ever said," Compress said.

"They are a heckuva lot less disgusting than the black ooze though," Medea said, "They kind of wake you up."

* * *

The Todorokis, Hawks, and Momo, were rather surprised to see the LOV show up with Mirko.

"Uh...who are they?" Fuyumi asked.

"Aren't those the LOV?" Natsuo said.

"No, they're cos-players," Hawks said dryly.

Natsuo blinked. "That's a heck of a good cosplay."

They all looked at him oddly.

"Natsuo, would you mind running to the store and getting us more medical supplies?" Shine said, "Just in case."

"Why me?" Natsuo said.

"Because you're the only one who hasn't done anything helpful," Shoto said, rather unintentionally salty.

Natsuo winced. "Fine..." He left.

"Should I get them more tea?" Fuyumi asked, "I'm sure dad will be here any second... He ran into trouble on the way, he says."

"What else is new?" Wally muttered.

"Who the frick is that?" Mirko asked.

"That's Fuyumi, Endeavor's daughter," Shine said.

"He has a daughter?!" Mirko said.

"Two, counting the kid," Compress said.

Shoto glared at him.

Silk chuckled. "Poor boy..."

"I must admit I was not expecting this many of you..." Shine was surprised.

"Hey, Todoroki." Medea waved slyly.

Shoto backed up. "Hi..."

"Why?" Momo said.

"They can help," Wally said, "I mean, hopefully."

"But why was Rumi with them?" Hawks was confused. "And why is she here?"

Mirko kicked him off his seat, onto the floor. "You giant moron!" she said, "Of course you're going to get yourself killed! When will you learn to listen to people when they tell you something is a bad idea?!"

"Is the irony not lost on anyone else here?" Compress muttered.

"Ow..." Hawks moaned.

"Uh...can you not do that?" Fuyumi said, "He's injured."

"Not as injured as he would be if I had my way before the Metas got to him." Mirko was mad. "I don't even know why I bothered coming, except to see for myself... So they're finally tossing you out with the trash, huh?"

"You know, lady, you're really not helping," Wally said, "I was kind of hoping some of what we talked about would stick, but--"

"I'm here, aren't I?" She crossed her arms. "And don't lie to me, West. You know you think the same about it as I do."

"More surprised she didn't say 'rest of the trash,'" Compress muttered.

"Buzz off," Mirko said.

"I just want to hear what's going on," Shigaraki said, "If they are threatening Hawks, who knows if they can find us too?"

"Probable," Shine said, "Hawks, do you know any more about what they were planning?"

[Expect more deviations from their canon goals in the following.]

"It was getting hard to learn stuff..." Hawks said, "They must have figured I was slipping...until the party did it... Uh..." He glanced at Fuyumi. "Should the non heroes be here?"

"You want me to leave?" Shine said innocently.

"Not you, Miss Likstar... I mean, this is all dangerous stuff."

Fuyumi realized he meant her. "Oh...uh, I can go."

"But I think she should know if they come here," Wally said, "so she can be prepared."

"It might be better," Shoto allowed.

Hawks sighed. "Well...I do know they still want the LOV gone, but I think they are having a hard time finding them without anyone to have leaks. So they focused on the heroes-- always someone ready to sell them out...uh." He rubbed his neck. "Anyway...I know the nomu attack on the city got their attention, but they couldn't track down the LOV after that either. They actually were glad. They thought they exhausted their resources. They think they can pick them off at leisure... Since the LOV's been pretty quiet, it doesn't look like they're much of a threat anymore. Basically, they think you're already defeated."

"Arrogant pricks!" Shigaraki was mad.

"Typical of those stuck up----" Compress cursed them out.

Medea looked impressed. "D---, Compress, that was colorful for you."

"Apologies. I hate it when people upstage me," Compress said.

Silk tilted her head. "I see where they get that idea, but is only good for us if they leave us alone."

"Do you know where to find them?" Shine asked Hawks, "If it came down to that."

"Oh, don't go looking, Miss Likstar," Hawks warned her, "They aren't the same as the other villains you know. And they won't respect your lack of a quirk like the Origi-ninjas." He pronounced that last part so that the vowels rhymed.

"The what?" Shigaraki said.

"It's a cooler name, right?" Hawks said.

"Oh, it so is." Wally grinned.

"No, it's stupid," Shigaraki said.

"You're stupid," Wally shot back.

"Wally!" Shine said.

"Sorry, but it's still cool."

"I'd call it goofy more..." Shine was dubious.

"Shine, where's your sense of puns and wordplay?" Wally nudged her.

Shine sighed. "I'm aware they are ruthless Hawks... I want to keep people safe. Look, we're not going to take them on ourselves, but if you guys plan to and want our help, we gotta know stuff. How to get in, get out."

"You know if we could have just found their HQ," Shigaraki was still mad, "we could have ended this a long time ago."

They glanced at him.

"There's an idea." Mirko put her ears back. "Can you help with that, Fly Boy?"

"I never got that far," Hawks said, "I wanted to. I tried and tried, but it was never enough. They  never trusted me."

Shine tilted her head.

"I cannot believe I'm saying this, but...why didn't you have Toga or Twice pose as one of these guys and sneak in?"

"Well, you see," Compress said, "we would have, but you need special credentials to get in, not just to look the part. And we could steal those, perhaps, but it's very difficult to know just who to be. Without more research, we'd be caught immediately."

Shine nodded. "I see."

"If we still had Lethe, we could do it," Silk muttered, "He could find out the kind of intel. A pity he betray us."

They shuddered.

"I don't know though," Wally said, "I bet I could sneak in, if I just knew where to look. I mean, stealing IDs and stuff is really easy."

Medea looked at him with grudging respect. "Hey, I can go through walls," she said.

"Yeah," Hawks said, "That's great for you guys, but it won't do any good at all if we can't find them."

"You know what?" Shine said, "You just leave that to all of us." She smiled. "I think I have an idea. Only it will take all of us. Only villains would be able to pull off some of it, and only a hero will be able to do the rest."

She stood up. "How about it? Project take down the Metas. If you ask Wally and I to help, we can."

"I'll ask you straight up," Mirko said right away.

They all stared at her.

"What? I can't read minds. If they can find them, I'm not passing that up." She was only too glad to get a lead on something.

"What's the goal here? Destroying them?" Shigaraki asked.

"Stopping them..." Shine shrugged, "Not sure how it will look. But no killing unless they try to kill you first."

"I can work with that," Silk said, "This sounds like idea... We need Metas to be out of way."

"No mistake, this would not be all of them," Shine said, "I'm thinking we find their HQ, at least one of them, and just, I don't know, blow it up or something like that."

"Just...blow it up, just like that?" Hawks stared at her. "You are a good guy, right?"

"Evacuated first," Shine said, "Batman pulls crap like this all the time. He once blew up a whole castle after he evacuated. Real power move."

"I remember that," Wally said enthusiastically, "That was a fun day. We blew up a space cannon."

Silence.

"You're making that up," Mirko said.

"Nope," Wally said.

Silence.

"Do you...work for some kind of secret service?" Fuyumi asked.

"If I did, could I tell you?" Wally said.

"Oh, right, sorry." She shook her head. "This idea sounds really dangerous... Are you going to take Shoto?"

"I think that will depend on what your father says," Shine said.

"I want to help," Shoto said.

"I don't know if we're qualified to though," Momo said, "I mean, this is high level..."

The front door opened loudly.

"Wait...is this Endeavor's house?" Medea suddenly realized what they'd been saying all this time.

"It might be," Shine said.

Endeavor appeared. "Where's...? Oh." He saw Hawks, then he saw everyone else.

"What in the h--- are all of them doing here?!!!"

* * *

It took all of Shine's efforts and Wally's to keep Endeavor and the LOV from attacking each other right off.

"Stay," Shine told the LOV.

"Now I know this looks bad..." Wally said to Endeavor.

"This looks like treason, West," Endeavor said.

"Sit," Shine told him.

"We're not dogs," Compress said.

Shine pulled out her sword.

Compress sat.

So did Endeavor.

Shigaraki glared at Shine. "If you think for one second I'm going to--"

"I won't ask you again," Shine said.

"You didn't ask me this time," he said.

"Huh." Shine was unconcerned.

Shigaraki grudgingly sat down. So did the others, except Medea. Shine ignored her.

"I'm going to tell Endeavor the truth," she announced, like it was a PSA, "and none of you are going to give me crap about it. I trust him, and, per our understanding, I can include people I trust, and we'll need him for our plan."

"Do we get a say in this?" Compress asked.

"Not really," Shine said.

Mirko laughed lightly, but kind of nervously.

"And she's here also..." Endeavor said, "Hawks, if this is about the Metas, I thought they were...well... I thought you were done with...whatever it was you were doing."

"Uh, well...as of today..." Hawks said.

"Fuyumi, why are you here?" Endeavor asked.

"Tea..." Fuyumi said, "and...uh, I kind of wanted to know who might be coming to our house."

"What? Who's coming here?" Endeavor said.

"Maybe you should listen to me, so we can stop wasting time." Shine sounded a little terse.

"Always a good idea." Wally took a dumpling off a plate Fuyumi had brought out. "These are good, by they way."

"Oh, thanks," she said.

Momo looked nervous.

Shine began to tell Endeavor how they ended up working together, omitting most of Mirko's part in it, only that she was also trying to stop the cult.

"For the time being, we have a common goal, and I'm okay with working with them," she said, "I can't stop you from arresting them later, though I will if they ask me to... Kind of a policy we have. Mutual trust, you know."

"Likstar, I've never pegged you for this type of person." Endeavor was kind of mad. "The type to trade favors with villains-- and not Mirko either, despite never really liking her that much."

"Feeling is mutual, prick," Mirko said spicily.

"Oy vey." Silk rubbed her eyes.

"That's not Russian, that's Yiddish," Shine said.

"I can say if I want!" Silk snapped.

"Your friends on the heroes side are always so open-minded," Shigaraki said to Shine.

"About as much so as you were," Shine said, "Do you think Endeavor is worth trusting?"

"Well, I feel like it's kind of betraying Dabi, first of all."

"Dabi would be okay with it. He was before," Shine said, "This is more important than a petty grudge, is it not?"

"You know what, Likstar? It's your right to bring in whoever you want, but don't expect us to be happy about it," Shigaraki grumbled.

"Thank you. I don't." Shine was ever the sass queen. "That settles the villain's side of this. How about it, Endeavor? If Hawks can do it, you can, right?"

Endeavor gave her an odd look. "Just how deep is Hawks involved with villains?"

"Uh...well..." Hawks faltered.

"Oh, do tell him," Compress leered. At least it seemed he was under the mask. "I can't wait to hear this soliloquy."

"You're such a gimmick," Wally said.

"Fastest Man alive really shouldn't talk," Compress said.

Wally winced.

"I...might have set up letting Dabi almost kill you..." Hawks said guiltily.

Fuyumi's mouth dropped open.

"It wasn't really supposed to go that way," Hawks amended, "but...kind of did. Luckily, Rumi bailed us out."

Mirko looked so smug. "That you outrank me after that is just so unfair."

Hawks shook his head.

"In his defense," Shine said, "while his actions are inexcusable, it was not his idea to become a double agent."

Endeavor frowned. "I suspected he was involved, but not to that level... What about the party?"

"I...got a hint," Hawks said, "but I swear, I didn't want all the top pros to die."

"Are you a meta?" Endeavor asked, "Did you get influenced by them?"

Hawks hesitated. "Some of it was...well...interesting, but, I don't like their style. I don't want to be their pawn, but...it...wasn't... I...well...I'm kind of a failure as a Pro hero."

"Oh, you do not get to use that as an excuse," Mirko said angrily, "You're d--- right you're a failure." She pointed at Hawks accusingly.

"But your first mistake was thinking it was ever okay to sell people out. Forget being a pawn. Someone can't control you without your permission, dumba--."

"That's really not true," Shigaraki said.

"Aside from brain dead nomu," Mirko said saltily, "And if you don't have anything helpful to add, shut up."

"Why don't you shut up?" Shigaraki grumbled.

Endeavor and Hawks looked at them strangely.

"How...well do you know each other?" Hawks said.

Silence.

"How well do you know them, Hawks?" Shine said.

Hawks winced. "Not really that well..."

"So...heroes are villains," Endeavor said, "and villains are working with us now...and Miss Likstar is also a villain?"

"Hey, take that back!" Wally sat up angrily. "Shine's an angel."

"She's a real saint," Medea defended her loyally, "She's the only one who gives a single s--- about the dregs of society like us. And I guess her man there is okay."

Wally took that in the spirit it was meant.

"For all we tried to kill you, at least we admitted you were sincere," Shigaraki said to Shine quite casually.

"I appreciate that," she said, "but it's not reassuring to me that you'd still try to kill me after believing that. There's more than one way to toy with someone's feelings. Threatening my kids is one."

Shigaraki looked shocked. "Why, you--"

"And All Might's too," Shine said, "I know that heroes are worthless scum who don't deserve consideration, and I'm no better, but that's just what the world says about you too, and I don't believe that, not at all. I didn't hold one of you hostage. I hope that you think about that sometime."

Shigaraki looked like she'd shot him between the eyes.

"Ouch," Mirko smirked, leaning on her finger and thumb, "Brutal..."

"My son has been one of their victims," Endeavor said.

"Which one?" Wally asked.

"Wha...? Shoto of course," Endeavor said, "Where is Natsuo...?"

"He went out for something," Fuyumi said weirdly.

"If it helps," Compress said, "we never actually tried to kill that little red and white one. Dabi would always say it was too soon. We just kidnapped him."

"That doesn't help." Endeavor glowered at him.

"Okay, we all have wrongs we could list," Shine said, "Do you mind? Do I have to give that speech again? Endeavor, please. Are you perfect?"

"No, of course not, but that has--"

"At the moment, they're not doing anything illegal, so can you maybe just forget about being a hero for a second and think of this as for the good of humanity?" Shine said, "Heroes and non heroes alike will suffer here. So let's work together."

"Why should I trust you?" Endeavor said.

Shine threw up her hands. "I've never lied to you... Boy, am I sick of this question."

"Can I destroy this?" Shigaraki asked her, putting one hand on the table.

"What? No, why would you want to?"

"I don't like it. It's too low," Shigaraki said, "Why does anyone need a table this low?"

"Well, Mineta might," Wally joked.

"Or Mirko," Silk said.

Mirko shoved her into the wall.

"Stop that," Compress said.

"That was barely anything," she said.

"I'll tell you what, Shigaraki," Shine said, "if you hold back for now, you can destroy your own table at home."

Shigaraki gave her a strange look.

Medea snickered. "I'll help."

"If you really don't trust us now," Wally said to Endeavor, "we can just go. I'm sure we'll manage without you. We can disappear fast enough, right, Sunshine? Who needs the number one hero? We've got a Mirko and an LOV, and me and you, so we're good."

"West, I finally like you," Mirko grinned.

"Cool," he said nonchalantly.

Endeavor frowned. "So my choices are either cooperation or you disappear?"

Wally shrugged. "Nothing like a good ultimatum to clear up our priorities, wouldn't you say?"

Momo looked at him like she knew how true that was.

[Anyone who remembers hers much earlier in the story gets it.]

"I'm with Wally," Shine said, "Normally I prefer to give people more time to think, but every moment is precious. We've wasted enough already. I can't believe this, but the LOV is more mature that the heroes right now."

"Don't rope me in here. I haven't said anything," Mirko said.

"Sorry, Rumi, I was counting you as more of a friend there," Shine said.

"Burn..." Medea muttered.

Endeavor scowled. "Very well, if I have no choice. Proceed. What is your idea?"
