Part 93: Shigaraki and Mirko get trapped

Shoto and Momo got closer to the heart of the compound, and found it a mess of twisted walls.

Kind of like an actual heart, but definitely it was all in the wrong place.

No sign of Dabi, no surprise there.

They ran into the rest of their party there only a few minutes later as Jiro found the same spot.

The lights were not on still, Momo had a flashlight, but Kaminari's wattage was definitely higher.

Though unstable.

"Hey, Yao-momo," he whispered to her.

Momo held out her hand and made a lightbulb.

Kaminari held it up. "Watch this, I'm Uncle Fester." He stuck in in his mouth and immediately the whole room was illuminated in bright light. It was one of those high wattage ones.

"I think we need a shade for him..." Jiro said.

"Well, you throw plenty, why don't you take care of it," Bakugo said a remark that could only have been because of Camie's influence.

Jiro looked at him oddly. "I think you started making jokes since hanging out with that Shiketsu chick, that seemed way out of character."

"Screw off, Earphone jackass!" Bakugo snapped.

Mirko eyed Kaminari. "I have to admit, that is cool...in a weird way...I mean, if I screwed that one way, would it turn off?"

Kaminari shrugged.

"But why does it need to be in you mouth?" Shoto said.

"Oh, it doesn't," Kaminari said around it. "It's just funnier that way."

"And he won't say anything stupid, so it's a win-win." Bakugo sniffed.

"This is really not what we need to be talking about," Aizawa said crossly. "You two are okay, that's good, but we have bad news."

They filled them in.

Jiro had her jack to the floor. "Mimic moved...I think he went below us...but now I can't tell. Maybe he left the wall. If we could just find the way to get down there...I'm sure that's where everyone is."

"But Miss Joke..." Momo was worried.

"Oh, don't worry, sweetheart, I'm fine," Miss Joke waved off her concern. It was a lie, but Momo chose not to comment on it.

"So you just let Dabi get taken huh?" Shigaraki was pissed off.

"It isn't like it was on purpose," Shoto was annoyed. "And why are you even here? I thought it was just going to be him."

"Apparently my low faith in his ability to not get captured was accurate." Shigaraki muttered.

"And Hawks is MIA for whatever reason," Mirko gestured dismissively. "So it's just us. But that's fine. We just need to find a trap door-hicky or something."

"Real scientific there, Rabbit foot," Bakugo said.

There was a rumble beneath them.

"Something huge just moved." Jiro said. "And...I hear screaming."

"Screaming? Is it Eri?" Aizawa grabbed her shoulders.

"I...it could be, it's hard to tell over the rumbling, but it could be a girl's voice..." Jiro said. "I think I hear yelling too. But it's so far away..."

"Oh no, he's torturing her," Shoto said, as usual, the wrong thing.

Momo gave him a look. "It could be anyone..."

[Pause to wonder why that's more comforting...]

"Sure," Jiro said. She hugged her sides. "I'm getting way more nervous now that we're literally right on top of it."

"Pshaw, that's nothing to be nervous about," Mirko scoffed. "Either we win or we die trying. Now let's just get down there. Someone must have an elevator, or a drill...or something." She looked around.

"You see it's that die trying part I'm nervous about..." Kaminari muttered.

Jiro laughed nervously. "You're such an idiot..."

"Why is that stupid?"

"It's not," Jiro admitted. "It just makes me feel better to say it that way. It's less...real."

"Oh.." Kaminari had never thought that was one of her reasons. "Well, okay then..."

Momo began walking around her room, tapping on the floor. "If there's a trap door or something in here, I can't hear anything."

"Are you sure we're right over it?" Aiazwa asked Jiro.

She nodded.

"But that doesn't mean the door is there, though, it could be off to the side," Miss Joke pointed out. "What if Kaminari here sent out a current or something to scan for it? He'd be drawn to anything electronic, wouldn't he?"

That was such a smart idea, they were amazed the person famous for making jokes had been the one who said it.

"But I could hurt you guys." Kaminari said.

"I'm on it," Momo was eating an energy bar already. A few moments later, she made some insulation.

"We'll all have to get under it...sorry if that's awkward, but it's better than getting fried."

For Shigaraki, it wasn't much better, he stood as far away from them as possible, but Aizawa kept an eye on him anyway.

Kaminari sent a small current through the floor...after a minute or so he said. "Hey, I think I found something." He ran to the left side of the room and down a smaller outlet of it, a place that had been twisted beyond recognition as even a hallway.

They all followed him.

"It's under this..." Kaminari  was tugging at a big piece of wall that had just bent over like melted wax.

"Someone isn't worried about using it, then," Miss Joke said.

"If you can possess a wall and open it anywhere, or unravel it, why the he-- do you need an actual door?" Mirko accounted for it. "But that's nothing" She kicked the wall and crushed it into dust.

"I could have done that," Shigaraki said.

"But ya didn't," Mirko said.

"What logic is that?" Bakugo wondered aloud.

Under the pile of wreckage, they found a metal door. It was partially buried still.

Kaminari managed to get it to open.

"Does this seem safe?" Momo said.

"No," Aizawa said. "But it's better trying to burrow through the flow. Unless Mirko really is a rabbit."

Mirko looked offended. "I don't burrow."

"Why not?" Shoto asked with a straight face.

"Do you make popsicles?" was her answer.

Shoto didn't get what that had to do with anything.

Aizawa slid into the elevator and held the doors open. "It can fit most of us. But be careful."

Jiro wiggled in the narrow space. All the smaller teens didn't have much of a problem getting between the wreckage to get in. Miss Joke had a little more trouble, but managed.

Shoto was taller and slipped rather painfully in because he got caught.

Mirko helped by shoving him the rest of the way.

"I think that's all we can fit," Aizawa was worried about the weight on this elevator, what if it was broken?

"No worries, I'll just come down once you're done," Mirko said.

Shigaraki was still standing there. "I don't want to get in that thing either."

"Then stay there," Aizawa was in no mood for him. "See if we care." He pressed the button. The door slid shut, not very smoothly.

"I'd bet money that it's going to get stuck half way down and then I'll have to fix it," Mirko said to no one in particular.

But whether it was because she called it out on its bs, or because it was in better condition than they thought, that did not happen, it made it all the way down.

Mirko tapped her foot impatiently though. "All right don't take all day about getting out of the dang thing..."

Shigaraki ignored her and contemplated how to get out of the situation alive. If he found Dabi, and then the pellets, they could just run for it...but that was easier said than done.

In the middle of his musings, the room shifted.

"Huh?" Mirko turned around and frowned. "You..."

Shigaraki was afraid to look at this point, because if it wasn't Mimic, it was...

Overhaul.

And Overhaul looked really pissed off.

"I come up to check on the progress of everyone, and this is what I see...hello Shigaraki. Remember me?"

"How could I forget?" Shigaraki said. "You're the guy who gave us a hand a while back."

He really didn't know why he said that, Dabi had rubbed off on him.

Mirko snorted a laugh at the look on Overhaul's face. He glared.

"Oh, you think this is funny?"

"Not at all," Shigaraki griped.

"Good," Overhaul said.  Without even moving his hands, the walls behind them broke into pieces, so did the elevator.

"I notice your little friends were down there, they won't be getting out of the hole now. It's nice when people save you the trouble of trapping them by trapping themselves. Just one question before I kill you, though...why is there a Top Hero here? I thought you were exclusive."

"It's not my fault," Shigaraki took that personally. "She's with the other idiots. I'm just here for--" then he thought better of mentioning Dabi.

"For your stupid companion? Mimic already told me," Overhaul sneered. "Yes, he didn't put up much of a fight...I wonder how he's enjoying our accommodations."

Shigaraki clenched a fist.

"Well, tell you what, you can ask him yourself," Overhaul said.

Mirko got tried of listening and jumped at his face, preparing to kick him.

With a speed that didn't seem quite natural, Overhaul grabbed her by the foot like she was in slow motion, her eyes widened. Then he tossed her aside into the wall.

"All pros are the same...so tiresome," he wiped his hand off, though he had gloves on. "I'll need to shower after this. Touching a diseased rabbit twice in one day."

Mirko spat hair out of her mouth. "I'll make you pay for using that line again."

"I'd take your quirk, but I really don't see what use I'd have for it, unless I wanted to get rabies," Overhaul ignored her words. "Shigaraki, I'm not stupid enough to fight you right off."

Shigaraki was prepared for that exact scenario to happen, so that caught him off guard. "What?"

"You'd just destroy my objects, I've had enough of that," Overhaul sniffed. "Though perhaps I'm too fast for you now, but I'm already going to need to disinfect after earlier, so I've decided to do this the more sanitary way. You can join everyone else in quarantine.

[Everyone had covid flashbacks when he said that...]

"Huh?" That didn't sound good.

"Hey, punk," Mirko got back up. "Don't just think you can ignore me."

But the floor opened up under all of them. Overhaul didn't fall, he propped himself with his quirk, but the hero and villain plunged down at a rate that would break their bones.

Shigaraki caught himself by grabbing the side of the hole he was faling into...which hurt, a lot.

Mirko managed to break the impact by tucking and rolling part of the way down, like a bunny, and just tumbled painfully into the floor. "Ow..." She rubbed her head. "Why that son of a-"

The sound of the roof closing cut her off.

Silence.

Shigaraki slid to the ground the rest of the way. It was all dirt...not something he could decay. Well, he could try...but it would just bring it all down on them.

Mirko seemed to lose her head, she could be heard banging on the wall frantically. Or maybe she was trying to jump out. Maybe she'd knock herself out on the ceiling and he'd have a little quiet...

But no such luck.

"What the frick is this? Some kind of holding cell?" She raged. "Coward! You think you can just avoid a fight like that!"

Shigaraki sat against the wall. The darkness didn't bother him that much, he was used to it. But her noise was making it hard to focus on a plan. Maybe he should just warp.

That was the moment he realized he couldn't...at what point had that happened? He couldn't remember touching anything that would...well, he did pick up that radar, but he'd used his quirk since then...so it couldn't be the drug...

Something kicked him. "Hello? Are you alive or what?" Mirko's voice demanded. "If you're not alive, just don't answer."

"How could I answer if I wasn't alive?" Shigaraki said in as condescending tone as possible.

"Kinda why it's the perfect litmus test," Mirko said. "'Cause I'm not feeling around to check, thanks...well, great...I wasn't going to ask this, but, since it'll save time, why don't you just do that warpy thing with the black goo?"

"I can't, you imbecile!" Shigaraki said. Though really, how was she going to know that? "Don't you think I would have if I could have!"

"Not if you were dead--wait, what do you mean you can't?" Mirko sounded angry.

"Just what I said, it's not working. Could be something in the room," that was his only theory.

"Room? This is just a dirt hole! And I'm using my quirk just fine."

"You're quirk is a physical type, it's not so easy to block." Really was explaining this necessary? Why couldn't a pro put this together?

"Yeah, but you had a quirk a second ago," Mirko countered. "How do I know you're not just lying?"

"Gee, want me to see if I can disintegrate you just to find out?" Shigaraki shot back.

Actually getting in a fight in here if he couldn't use his quirk was the last thing he wanted to do. He'd be at a distinct disadvantage.

Well, at least that seemed to make his point, she shut up for a second. Then "Well, that's not good...maybe there's a door...?"

Mirko was the type of person who thinks out loud when they're stressed, and that was getting on his last nerve.

Shigaraki, of course, was the type of person who says nothing when they are trying to think. And on top of that, he hated her

But he couldn't just try to kill her if his quirk wasn't going to work...

So instead of making a snide comeback, he was just silent.

Mirko started moving around the room trying to find a door...but her whole investigation told her it was just a pit.

Not that she'd admit it out loud...but she didn't exactly do great with small, dark places...kind of ironic, since she was a rabbit. Maybe it was too much like a cage. Her pulse was picking up.

But she pushed aside any nerves. She put her ear to the side of the wall...she heard footsteps...somewhere above...and...she thought she could hear a voice...but through so many tons of dirt...who could be sure?

There was a really long silence on Shigaraki's end. Till she suspected he'd passed out. She ignored it though.

Not that being struck down here with a villain known for murdering people was exactly the thing you wanted...though she didn't doubt she was the stronger fighter...but still...creepy.

The not talking thing was making it creepier, she decided.

"Anything?" She said aloud.

"Shut up." Shigaraki snapped.

"Well if we're going to get out of here, we're going to have to communicate something," she shot back.

"I figured out why I can't warp." Was the most helpful thing Shigaraki could think of to say.

"Great...why?"

"Well, it's a short range quirk. Unless there's someone I know close by, I really can't go anywhere I haven't been...and the layout of this dump is all changed from before. So I can't go anywhere in there."

"So just go to you pal Dabi then."

"That's also not working...and that's the weird part..." Shigaraki sounded peeved. "But Likstar has mentioned being blocked. Maybe the same thing that blocks her blocks me."

"Perfect, blocked warping," Mirko thought it sounded lame. "What a useless power after all."

"I don't see yours doing any better!" he snapped.

"I don't have paws, okay? I can't just dig out of here." Mirko got really annoyed when people assumed that being a rabbit meant you could do everything a rabbit could do. Sure, all the animal quirk people used that as their slogan, but it was just hyperbole. It wasn't like Gang Orca could really swim on land or something...

Plus her animal quirk didn't make her look as much like the animal so it came with less abilities anyway.

Anyway this at least beat focusing on the hole. But it was getting hard to breathe down here....maybe the plan was to suffocate them to death.

"Pros really are so useless..." Shigaraki didn't help anything by saying.

"Screw off," Mirko snapped. She sat back against the wall as far away as possible. "I can't believe I'm saying this, but, it looks like we might just be stuck until somebody finds us. Maybe that Jiro kid will hear something...unless there's a trick to this...what did he say about it? Quarantine... I don't know what that means.

"Where you isolate someone who's sick." Shigaraki supplied. He only knew that from a video game.

"I know what it means dip----, I just meant it's his word code. Like 'you're all sick' means 'I hate you' or something."

"No, I'm pretty sure that means he thinks were literally sick." Shigaraki remembered how annoying that got talking to him too. "The psycho."

Mirko snorted. "The head of the LOV is calling Overhaul a psycho...that's kind of funny."

"Why?" Shigaraki was offended. "That's what he is."

"Yeah, but...isn't that the pot calling the kettle black," Mirko was amused. "It's always so funny how villains point fingers. Like they all think they're better than the next villain over. But it's bulls---."

Shigaraki ignored her.

Silence again.

Mirko wondered if she could climb to the ceiling if she made a hole in the wall and piled the dirt up...or she'd end up filling he whole room...she could weigh her options...

She jumped up and hit the ceiling about 10 feet up with her ears...so it wasn't that high...

If she wasn't so short she'd have less to worry about here...

She started kicking at the wall, making loose dirt pour out of it.

"What are you doing" Shigaraki noticed when it hit him. "Trying to bury me?"

"Don't tempt me," Mirko sassed back. "I'm trying to reach the top, maybe there's a door up there. Or maybe it's not as thick. I could kick through it."

"So just jump."

"No, the room is too small. If I try to jump feet first I'll knock myself out on the floor," Mirko said. "I need at least 20 feet for that move..."

"I don't need the break down of it," Shigaraki grumbled. "And how do you plan to kick your way out then."

"You know one thing at a time, mummy man," Mirko quickened her pace. "I don't want to die in this hole...especially with yours being the last voice I ever heard, thanks. So I'm going to try to get out. It's called being proactive."

"Shut up." Shigaraki said. "If I die here, I'd like it to be in silence."

"Good. Shut up, and if I bury you, I won't know," Mirko said.

That annoyed Shigaraki further. "B----" he said again.

"Sticks and stones," Mirko didn't care about the insult. She felt the pile with her toe. "D--- it, this is going to take forever... and it's too loose...I could take out half the wall and not have enough."

"Is there a reason you keep giving me these stats I didn't ask for? Just shut up," Shigaraki snapped.

"It's called problem solving, dumba--" Mirko retorted. "And you could help, you know. Instead of whining about it."

"What happened to being the hero who doesn't need a team?" Shigaraki taunted.

"You know what? Frick you." Mirko's temper was short.

Shigaraki muttered to himself "You're just mad because that was true..." like a kid who's not willing to let someone else have the last word.

Mirko kept working, but after 10 minutes, it didn't seem like this idea was going to work...and she was getting hot, and out of breath, and she had a feeling it wasn't just the exercise...the air was almost gone.

Shigaraki didn't say a word that whole time, and neither did she. The could have been in the pit alone for all the sound in there.

But finally, she sat on the pile that was only about 4 feet high and taking up most of the space as it was, and sighed. "At this rate, the lack of oxygen will kill us before anything else."

"No." Shigaraki said, as if it pissed him off. "That scum would never make it that painless. He'll yank us out of here right before that point to torture us."

"Really?" Mirko sounded happy about that. "That's perfect, then I can kick his a---."

"Did it escape your attention that by that point neither of us will be able to put up a fight? That's what he wants...he's a d----sadist." Shigaraki snapped.

"Coming from you?" Mirko snorted.

"I'm not a sadist!"

"No?" Mirko didn't really care, but it beat the eerie quiet.

"No!" Shigaraki was insulted. "Don't make assumptions about others just because it's true about yourself."

"What?" Mirko sat up, not that it mattered. "I'm not a sadist! That's disgusting."

"No? So you're just naturally cruel then? Doesn't really matter."

Shigaraki was getting bored too, or he wouldn't have bothered provoking her.

"Cruel? Me?" Mirko was insulted further. "Wow...well, why should I care, look at the source...Anyway, I'm a hero."

"Makes it sadder that you're such a hypocrite, but doesn't change anything" Shigaraki sneered.

"A hypocrite? I swear if this wasn't such a small hole, I'd kill you for saying that," Mirko said.

"Case in point..." Shigaraki said.

Mirko glared at the darkness. "You really have a death wish."

"Not really. But by all means, prove my point." Shigaraki said.

Mirko hesitated...dang it...

She crossed her arms. "Well, I know better than to let what someone like you says get to me anyway. You're just some crazy b----d who wants to make people suffer for no reason...Even being in this position is ridiculous...I should smack Likstar next time I see her for causing it at all."

"That'll be a change of pace," Shigaraki understood sarcasm better since hanging around Dabi also.

"What?" Mirko said.

"On nothing...just I can't help but have observed your treatment of your own allies," Shigaraki was still really condescending. "It's almost impressive how callous your actions toward them are. I don't know why they put up with it, the LOV would have kicked you out ages ago."

Mirko almost choked on her wrath. "What?! Where do you get off, anyway? Prick!"

"Why do you think you're so much better than us, huh?" Shigaraki couldn't resist this chance to vent his frustrations against heroes. "Someone as selfish as you are really is in no position to talk about how evil villains are. At least we take care of our own. You only take care of your own interest. I hate Pros, all they care about is fame."

"That is not true!" Mirko was hopping mad now. [Yes, that was on purpose]. "And I'm not selfish! I spend all my time saving other people, from people like you!"

"So? That's nothing to be so proud of. A robot could do that," Shigaraki was pissed now. "And since I've had the displeasure of witnessing your...method, for lack of a better word, I've just become more convinced that everything the LOV thinks about Pros had been completely true."

"My actions? Really?" Mirko scoffed. "In what way?" She only asked so she could laugh at it.

"Every way. From the first to the last your poor cooperation with your team puts them in danger constantly, you're ungrateful if they help you, and put them down if they need assistance." Shigaraki was only more mad because the LOV had an especial rule not to do any of those things when they worked together, and the idea of it annoyed him.

"What? That's ridiculous," Mirko scoffed. "I've never put anyone in danger."

"Dangling Likstar off a roof..."

"Hey, you did the same thing, and that was because she was being difficult."

"Why do you think I did it? And I'm a villain," Shigaraki shot back. "So it must not be very heroic thing to do. Anyway, that's just one thing. Even today, you've been the primary reason there's absolutely no cooperation on the pros side. Normally, that'd be a bonus for me, but when it's making it harder to find Dabi and complete this mission, it just pisses me off. So, let's just say, if I had a list of most annoying pros, you'd be at the top right now."

Mirko was speechless after that last part about her being the primary reason.

Shigaraki wasn't really used to lecturing people so he was running out of ideas. But it also was kind of fun to verbally smack down one of the top heroes...

"Everything you do is just for your own fame...it's to be expected of the shallow, superficial icons of the hero world to be selfish...but I gotta admit, most person try to hide it more. It's almost admirable that you make no effort to pretend to care about anyone else, but then, what does it say if you can't even fake that image for the sake of reputation? Kind of makes you a worse failure than before."

"Stop it!" Mirko had had enough. The she started coughing because using that much oxygen, even to yell, was too much right now.

She fell over, still coughing. Her hearing went fuzzy.

Despite that, Shigaraki only lasted about half a minute longer before he started choking also and passing out. But either he was less worked up or he'd just exerted himself less, but he didn't fully pass out before the ceiling opened up overhead and air streamed in there.

The Rabbit Pro had though, at least mostly. Her ears twitched, but that was it.

"Clever idea," Overhaul looked down at the dirt pile, he'd put on new gloves and clothes. "But still stupid..."

Shigaraki held still, hoping he wouldn't notice he was still conscious.

Overhaul plucked both of them out using pieces of wall.

Mirko stirred at being moved, and started to come to.

"So did a little quarantine help?" Overhaul taunted. "I'm not in a good mood right now, my other subjects are putting up more of a resistance than I expect...I thought I might take out my frustration on you, though..."

He eyed them. "Ugh, disgusting you're covered in filth."

Dry dust wasn't really that  much of filth, when you compared it to the other stuff around this dump, but leave it to Overhaul to blame someone for a problem he caused anyway. [That could be his tagline.]

Still, perhaps it was just as well, because Overhaul decided to shove both of them aside rather than risk touching them.

"Nevermind, I'll let the others handle this." He closed the wall behind him.

The pit was still there but they weren't in it.

Mirko pushed herself up  rubbing her head. "Did he just run away again?"

"Boss?" A familiar voice spoke.

Shigaraki turned, Dabi was at the far end of this room...what was this room anyway? Just another level of the same cage?

Dabi was hooked to the wall by some kind of cuff. "What are you doing here?" He was giving Shigaraki a weird look.

"Looking for the drugs, of course," Shigaraki said. "And your pathetic a--, apparently. Couldn't not get captured."

"It looks like you did too," Dabi shot back. "And it's not my fault...I can't seem to use my quirk. Not in this room...I think it's got blocks in the wall or something."

"Overhaul used his," Shigaraki said.

"Maybe he had protection then, but since you're here, want to bust me out...hey Bugs." That to Mirko, she was on her feet and brushing dust off herself.

"At least there's light in here..." she eyed the one bulb in the ceiling. "What was the point of that whole thing if he was just going to run."

"Chisaki is insane," Dabi said. "You're lucky he didn't just tear you apart for a good measure. Changing his mind like that is nothing."

"Any sign of our actual target?" Shigaraki asked him.

"I haven't seen anything, but I heard really awful screaming not that long ago," Dabi sounded grim. "I don't know where any of the heroes are. I didn't even know you were in that level. He must have dropped you in through the floor. But I think there're more prisoners down here. So either the kid...or someone else."

"Could be Likstar. She got taken by Overhaul," Shigaraki said.

The alarm in Dabi's eye was unmistakable. "Really? But she could take him, right?"

"Guess not." Mirko rubbed her head some more. "Well...I guess you'll have to be freed." She raised her foot and kicked the cuff straight off the wall.

"Oww." Dabi rubbed his hand...but it was free, at least. "I hate to admit it, but that was kind of impressive."

Mirko looked smug. "Guess at least one of us can use their quirk."

"So they can only block non physical ones, huh?" Dabi said.

"Yes, it's strange he's not using the drug," Shigaraki mused.

"Oh, well, I think it's obvious why he didn't," Dabi said, "He probably wants to use your quirk. It's kind of useful, isn't it? Just the kind he'd want. Mine too. Lola Bunny, here, not so much. But it's a waste of a drug if he can just kill her, right? He'll drug the people who'd be the biggest threat. Like Hawks."

"But he didn't get Hawks," Mirko said, "The stupid henchmen drugged Miss Joke instead."

"Well, that was dumb. What's she going to do, smile them to death?" Dabi said.

"Don't underestimate her, Dabi," Shigaraki warned him, to Mirko's surprise, "Miss Joke's quirk would be quite deadly if used without restraint, and I personally am glad Overhaul doesn't have it... Can you imagine dying that way?"

"Laughing?" Dabi made a face. "You know what, I'll count my blessings."

"It's no blessing if she can't fight," Mirko said.

"You're the one who said she wasn't useful anyway," Shigaraki said.

"I never said that. I said she wasn't as powerful," Mirko shot back.

"Which was stupid to begin with," Shigaraki added, still in a mood from earlier, "but doesn't matter now, does it? The goal is to find that kid, and Likstar, and get out of here."

Dabi shrugged. "Well, Rodger here has the only working quirk. Why doesn't she bust us out?"

"Okay, stop with the rabbit themed nicknames, or I'll break your arm," Mirko said.

"Sheesh." Dabi leaned away. "Okay then. Gonna help or not?"

"I'm not helping you." Mirko stormed toward the far end of the room. "But I am getting out of here. You can follow me if you have the guts."

Dabi glanced at Shigaraki. "Uh...did you say something to her...? 'Cause she seems pissier than before. I mean, it's hard to tell, but it kind of looked like you were having a whole fight there."

"It's nothing." Shigaraki didn't want to tell him about it. He preferred to forget it all as soon as possible.

"Okay...but...uh...if she leaves us to die because of you, I will resent that, just so you know," Dabi said.

"Shut the he-- up," Shigaraki snapped at him.
