Cali smiled slightly  as she replied to her friends on Wattpad. All except one guy who had three accounts. Some dumbass named Zane. Excluding him, they all made her happy

One brightened her days like no other

Though she wasn't really a friend... she was her girlfriend. You may say "Dude, it has friend in it!" But shut up. You know not of which you speak.

Though Cali was confused when she read the reply to their conversation. It of course, contained the continuation of their current roleplay. Though at the bottom, so unnoticeable she almost replied without seeing it, there it was

//I'm sorry

Utterly perplexed, Cali replied, asking what she meant. She waited... and waited... but no response. She went to her friends for help but none knew what to do, especially that dumbass from before.

One day turned into two...

Two into three...

Cali was a wreck. She put up a front for her family, yes. But when alone... she broke down. Her one true source of happiness couldn't be there for her.

Then, on the fifth day, in came a message. Cali typed frantically on her phone, trying to see what happened.

//I was going to say I'd be gone for about a week because my wifi was acting up and my parents called people to repair it, but the router shorted out and we needed to get a new internet provider

Cali stared at the screen blankly. No sadness in her eyes... no emotion at all. Then another message

//How was your past few days

Cali spent five minutes typing and deleting words until she finally replied

//It doesn't matter. I'm just... happy to be able to speak to you again
