~Jumin's POV~

I opened the curtains to let in the early morning light. Elizabeth 3rd was sleeping soundly at the corner of my bed with her tail curled around her. She looked so beautiful that I couldn't help myself staring at her precious sleeping face. It's a shame that I had to leave for work when I just came home last night as well. I would have wanted to spend a little more time with her but the company needed me, so I had to leave her again.

After taking a shower and getting dressed, I called for Driver Kim to ready the car over. I prepared some cat food for Elizabeth the 3rd before leaving to wait downstairs.

"Good morning, sir," I heard everyone greet me one by one as I passed.

By the time I reached outside of the building, the car was parked and waiting for me. Several security guards were scattered around the area, keeping a look out in case of anything that might happen.

"Good morning, sir." Driver Kim greeted me as he opened the back door to let me in.

Driver Kim was an exceptional worker in his years under my service. I'm thinking of giving him a bonus for all his hours driving me around without complaint. It was hard to find employees like him and Assistant Kang, so I tend to show my gratitude through bonus paychecks from time to time.

As usual, the drive to the office was quiet. I unlocked my phone and clicked on the messenger app to log in and see how everyone was doing. I've noticed that Legacy has been more timid yesterday. Whenever she was online and chatting with us, I observed that she was very unsure about herself and always trying to give us a safe answer. I hope she logs in to the chatroom more often from now on and learn to be more communicative about her real self.

I climbed out of the car and headed inside the company building. My meeting was in two hours so I had plenty of time to kill. I decided to send Legacy a text regarding whatever problem she was having. V did tell me to treat her like an RFA member, so I was going to do what I was told.

I went in my office and closed the door behind me. It was strange to worry over something like this. I was fairly good at being cool and calm in front of everyone. So why was I feeling so protective over her?

"Maybe this was what Zen and Yoosung were feeling?" I asked myself. But no, this was probably different from what they experienced.

Reading Legacy's messages and seeing how mentally fragile she was, I was determined to find out why. It didn't even occur to me that I could be this protective over someone. She was like a scared child hiding in the corner of a dark room, too afraid to speak up or ask for any help.

I gathered some of the paperwork I had to do that morning and looked them over. Our company profits have been reasonably good this year, however, I was slightly annoyed that my father spent a lot of money on one of his girlfriends. Again.

This particular one was very interested in coffee. I heard that he planned on starting her a coffee business, which only increased my irritation even further if that was even possible at this point. I made a mental note to tell Assistant Kang to help me fail this project. We were already very busy with a lot of things in different departments, so this would only be a complete waste of my time.

I flipped through the papers quietly and looked up when I heard a knock on the door. "Come in," I said, already knowing who it was.

"Mr. Han, good morning." Assistant Kang greeted.

"Good morni--" I paused when I heard a beep coming from my phone. "Oh. Legacy finally replied."

Assistant Kang looked at me with curiosity and tilted her head as if asking what was going on, but she never said anything as she knew this was not her business.

"I don't know?" I repeated loudly without thinking.

"I don't know what, Mr. Han?" Assistant Kang asked back.

"Nothing..." I said, then turned to her fully. "I was just trying to get Legacy to open up a bit but it seems like asking her through texts aren't working either."

Assistant Kang closed her eyes and thought for a moment. "Why not ask Seven for help?" She suggested. "Don't you think she acts more differently towards him?"

"Will that really work?" I asked. Legacy did act a bit more lighthearted whenever Luciel was online, it was worth a shot.

I read his last text with an unamused expression. I don't doubt that he will do everything he can to get information out of her, but I can't take him seriously when he joked around like this. Either way, there is nothing more I can do but to put my faith in Luciel and wait.
