Chapter 7 (Yura's POV)
As I lay flat on the bed, feeling fairly depressed, the door suddenly popped out, and out from behind it were four pairs of eyes. One pair was hot pink, the other a dark purple. They were big, round, almost beautiful, with thick eyelashes.
"M-Ms. Yura? Yura Umemoto?" A voice whispered out.
"Shhh...Zion! Leave her alone! King Akiyo just said that we can look at her! But-"
This time, it sounded like a girl.
"Aion, I just wanna-"
Then, there was a sound of something smacking against skin.
"OW!!!" The boy, Zion, cried out. Then there was a sudden barrage of fists hitting skin, and they kept crying out and yelling.
It went silent after a bit, and if it weren't for the chains, I'd have seen what the hell was going on. After a while, the door began to creak open a bit wider, and right in front of me were two of the oddest-looking children. One of them was a small, tan boy, Zion, with dark pink eyes and shocking white hair as if he'd been born from the touch of electricity. The other was a small girl with bright, sun-yellow hair and skin like white ceramic. They were...quite the sight.
"HELLO, um, King Akiyo said that we can't touch you or do anything, but it's fine if we talk a bit, right?" Zion blurted out excitedly.
"RIGHT!" Aion agreed.
Despite their little fight from just a bit ago, they both acted as if nothing had gone wrong. I crawled over the bed to get a closer look at them and almost jumped out of my skin. Just around their faces were a few scars. Aion had a scar that went from right under her right ear to her throat, and Zion had a scar that went from his lower lip to his chest. It was horrific. To be such small children and yet to bear such scars, I couldn't help but wonder what must've happened to the children. But at the same time, I knew not to worry too much about them. For all I knew, they could be a part of King Akiyo's scheme or plan. They may be small, but something must've been wrong with them. Even though I wielded magic and King Akiyo's people didn't, I also knew that retaliating against any of them could only cause trouble, and with Neijiro still out there, alive, what if they took their anger out on him or even worse? I wanted to fight back, but I was too scared.
"King Akiyo said that in a few days, he's gonna make something cool happen!" Aion said, jumping. Zion glanced at her happily, his mouth opening wide to reveal a set of sharp teeth. Was he a shark? A tiger? What was with these kids?
"King Akiyo also gave us gifts! And, even though we can't touch you with our hands, we can at least put on a show for you!" Zion continued.
Aion opened her mouth to talk, but upon realizing what Zion just said, her face quickly changed.
"ZION! We can't do ANYTHING to the lady! King Akiyo will-" Zion just shot her a dark look and reached out for her. Shrinking back quite a bit, Aion just gulped and bit her bottom lip, drawing a small drop of blood.
Zion then smiled widely once again and gave a gentle shove, which caused her to squeak in startlement.
"Maybe not now...I guess, but sometime in the future, I'm gonna show you something fun!" Zion cheered happily.
As he turned to leave the room, Aion just stood there, eyes still shut. Zion froze in the doorway and turned towards the girl.
"For a sister, you sure ARE stupid! Are you gonna come with me or not?" He almost threatened.
Aion just gave a short nod and raced out the door as Zion held it open. As he took a final step out and the door slowly shut behind him, he gave me one last look and mouthed something. Chills ran down my spine once I repeated what he said inside my head and realized what he had said.
"That is...unless King Akiyo deals with you first..." He hissed.
