i have, points for sakura.

Some of these are #sakuradeservedbetter while others are #wtafareyoudoingsakura .

1). Sakura made this whole resolve to become strong so she can catch up with Naruto and Sasuke, which makes sense because it kinda sucks when you're the normal one in a team of fucking gods, but the thing i noticed is.

Whenever she's not around sasuke, she's strong, whenever she's around sasuke, homegirl is weak.

The mention of sasuke's name alone sets her back in her journey. Like if we take the fight with Sasori (stfu, don't come for me with that bUT cHIYO shit. Sick of hearing it.), Sakura was genuinely strong then. Even during the second bell test, or the filler second chuunin exams when Sakura couldn't use her full chakra but still managed to push through, she was strong.

I don't mean it in chakra prowress mostly, I mean it in mind. Her mind was strong healthy and happy. She looked like she had actually grown  as a person.

Cut to the Sasusaku scenes!

It's the same bullshit cycle tbh. Sasuke shows up, Sakura becomes utterly useless both in body and mind, and he development is set back by five years. Hell, just the MENTION of Sasuke got Sakura following Naruto to lie that she loved him then going to kILL sASuKE hErSeLF

And oh my god, when she was trying to kill Sasuke I actually wanted to kill myself.

She used,,, a poison kunai.

🤡 Wasn't even stealthy with it.

Sasuke was weakened sure whatever, but come on. Sakura. A poison kunai is what this lady thinks will kill an Uchiha.

Sakura. Please. I'm feeling second hand embarrassment.

Anyways, long story short, Sasuke robbed Sakura of her development–or Sasuke's presence robbed sakura of her development idc.

2). I genuinely feel bad for this girl because she should've been put in another team.

I like writer168's Hoshigaki version of Team 7. Naruto Uzumaki, Sasuke Uchiha, and Hinata Hyuuga. It's dysfunctional (duh) but at least Hinata has a bloodline like the rest.

I don't UNDERSTAND why Kishimoto put her in that Team. Because now the spotlight is on her, and now she has to match naruto and Sasuke (which, duh, she can't) with her non-existent kekkei genkai.

If it were me, I'd make sakura an absolute underdog–I wouldn't half ass it. I'd make the chances of her joining a strong team impossible, I'd make her work till she dropped, and lastly, I'd make it clear that this woman is from a weak ass household.

Imagine,  having drop-out genin parents and thinking you can par with Naruto from Uzumaki and fourth hokage with a fox inside him and sasuke mr uchiha boy.

It cannot work. 🤷🏽‍♀️ I'm sorry.

Sakura's strong. But ee no reach like that.

3). Sakura's flat.

Get over it and stop making it like she's ugly or horrible bc of it.

4). Sakura doesn't understand Sasuke.

Idk why when i wrote this in another rant someone wrote "tHE bEnCh sCENE" like I didn't watch the bench scene too 🗿

Surprise surprise, I did 🗿

And that bEnCh sCEnE is a good explanation of to how Sakura understands nothing about sasuke.

She cares for him, she loves him, she would do anything for him. Those are points i can agree with.

She doesn't understand what Sasuke was thinking, nor what he was going through. The way she spoke was not out of understanding, it was out of desperation. She wanted him to stay with her more than anything else, so she was even willing for him to take her with him (weak).

She can't just understand Sasuke because she knew absolutely NOTHING of what happened to him. She just knew that his brother killed his clan and went bye bye. She couldn't see life through his eyes, how painful it must've been to see his entire household dead on streets like they were rags.

That's the thing. You don't understand things you haven't been through fully. You can empathize, but you probably won't understand the depths of what they're feeling, what they're thinking.

Sakura attributed what Sasuke was going through to thE dArKNeSS (bullshit but in another chap) but, Sasuke wasn't ever in the darkness until he fought the Kage, left his comrades, and almost murdered Karin. Sasuke knew what he was doing. He sacrificed his village and his bONDS to achieve a goal–to get stronger. That wasn't darkness (it was vengeful,yes) it was pain mixed with ambition.

What sakura know about ambition like that ?🤷🏽‍♀️

Sakura couldn't understand him during anything and just said whatever she wanted to say to make herself sane 🗿

5). Sakura and Ino's rivalry is the most useless thing I've ever seen 😭 How do you fight over a boy for half your childhood? HOW?

And then turns out sakura was jealous of ino and ino was jealous of sakura oh shut up 🗿🗿

I guess it pisses me off that their fight was so trivial yet it lasted so long?

Y'all should've just made it that sakura accidentally murdered ino's sister 🗿 yes, that makes perfect sense–

6). I wish Sakura didn't take the medic nin route. Like, i loved the parallels between the Sannin and Team 7, but since there were so many plot recycles in Naruto i was just idk.

Like, sakura was proficient in genjutsu. Sakura could've learnt about seals. Sakura could've worked more on her earth style. Sakura could've gotten some fist weapons. There are so many good ways to use sakura other than the doctor with a punch.

7). Sakura vs Karin vs Ino vs Hinata

Y'all will pin Sakura against ANYBODY. wtf.

They're all queens can we move on.

8). Since this rant has mainly contained things i found off about sakura, can i just say i love how adorable she is 🙂 she's just so happy and bubbly yet she can get angry and she's so stubborn and driven 🙂

9). Sakura fans, i know deep down in your heart that you agree that sakura's backstory was lackluster.

It would've been so good if her backstory were in another anime like Say I Love You or something of the lines, but this is the Naruto world for Christ's sake. Bad things happen to main characters and I think that that's why a lot of fans weren't able to enjoy her characterization. Because when you make a world where everyone is dying, and all your mcs have some sort of story, Sakura is going to look...idk, boring? Like she has it all? (she doesn't,but that's how it looks)

I'm not saying her bullying wasn't bad or that it didn't affect her, I'm saying that not losing a loved one or being experimented on in the Narutouniverse AND being a main character just, doesn't work.

He was trying to make a humane character, but when you're making a humane character remember that you have a bunch of not humane characters that everyone's gonna love and then you have this average Joe sakura that you make out to be absolutely horrible in the beginning...so...

Backstory would have reduced the hate a little :/

At least when I'm arguing with sakura antis i can be like "her entire civilian faction got bombed. Pity the girl a little."
