Chapter One: KiKi Does Her Level Best To Insult Me. Hint: She Fails
Teghan walked into her room and I made to follow, but PJ stopped me.
"LET ME DOWN YOU VILE CREATURE!" I meowed, squirming around as I tried to wiggle my way out of Teghan's younger sister's tight grip. PJ pushed the air from my lungs as she gave me a hug, crushing my tiny cat ribs.
"Aw, Newt is happy to see me!" She laughed, setting me down. She tapped me on the nose, much like Teghan does.
My head was spinning as I twirled down the hall towards Teghan's room, and I was pretty sure I hit the wall a few times on my way there.
I entered Teghan's room, my cat smirk very visible as I bounded across the threshold.
Teghan had Harry Potter posters and a-dork-able drawings plastered on the walls of her room, as well as funny photos of her and her friends taped above her messy desk. Teghan's bed was warm, probably because she had just washed her sheets and comforter. Her pillows were fluffy and the pillowcases were all different colors.
Teghan was at her on her computer, no doubt writing one of her crazy fanficions. Her desktop was covered with papers, binders, trash, pieces of candy, and notes.
I could hear Teghan mumbling to herself as I jumped up onto her bed, making myself comfortable.
Teghan's floor was clean- well, for a teenager, anyway. Her tub of stuffed animals sat beside her desk, a few scattered around (I jumped into the tub earlier and chewed on her owl stuffie and may have thrown her other toys around).
I twirled in a circle, lying down on Teghan's many layers of blankets, closing my eyes...
For about eight seconds.
"Urgh!" Teghan exclaimed, causing me to jump. "Newt, I don't know what to do! I hate it when I get writer's block... can you help me? I mean, I know that you're a cat and all, but you're my biggest inspiration."
Of course I am- I'm awesome!
"Hmmm... maybe start the chapter off with a bang?!" I suggested, knowing Teghan well.
"I wish I knew what you were saying!"
I facepalmed myself (with my paw, anyway). "I'll just have to let her guess."
I jumped off the bed, running at Teghan. I ran right into the chair leg, meowing as I fell dizzily onto the ground.
Teghan gave me a strange look. Then, as I knew she would, she gasped.
"That's it! I can start the chapter off with a bang! Literally! You're a genius, silly kitty!" Teghan giggled excitedly, picking me up and planting a big kiss on my forehead before setting me on the ground again.
I meowed happily, jumping back on the bed, smirking my little kitty smirk.
I just love it when I can communicate with Teghan in odd ways, even when it hurts.

"Please, please, please, please?! " I begged, but Teghan was to engaged in her show to see me whining at the back door.
"Shhh! Quiet, Newt! They just found Jason's body!" Teghan scolded me without even tkingher eyes off of the screen.
I sighed in annoyance. Teghan had just discovered a new show (I believe it was a show called RIVERDALE) and is already absorbed. She keeps saying that it's her 'new Veronica Mars' and that she will 'never stop watching it.'
I meowed again, pawing the glass door. KiKi, the other cat in the house, was on the other side, scowling and meowing annoyingly because it was raining outside.
"Get her attention, you lazy leopard! " KiKi hissed at me.
"You're not helping, thank you very much!" I hissed back, glaring at KiKi.
Did I happen to mention that me and KiKi aren't the greatest of friends?
"Well, I'm hungry, and Teghan isn't feeding us!" KiKi clawed the door, scaring the cat food out of me.
"I'll get her attention, alright? Just sit on your grassy cat butt and chill out! " I purred, waltzing away.
"You're doing it wrong-!"
"SHUT UP!!!" I meowed as loud as I could, and Teghan turned her head, pausing her show.
"Oh! KiKi wants in! Why didn't you tell me, Newt?"
I palmed myself again and KiKi strutted in.
"Take that, Scamander."
"Eat a hairball, Loki." I growled, and KiKi hissed at me for calling her by her actual name, KiKi being her nickname.
"Don't you dare call me that! I don't like that name. That Norse god is an idiot, and I am far from an idiot."
"Not from what I've heard," I muttered.
"What did you say?!" KiKi's tail flicked angrily.
"Nothing, nothing. Only that you are beautiful and not idiot-like," I said sarcastically.
KiKi studied me before turning away, her kiwi green eyes watching me.
"Watch your back, Newt. I'll be in the big window, if you need annoy me any further."
And with that, KiKi sashayed away.
Cat-style.
I rolled my green kitty eyes, smirking.
"I have the feeling that KiKI is never going to give me a break..." I shook my furry head, hopping onto Teghan's lap and curling up.
Little did I know was that the worst was yet to come...
