You are too disturbed to move a muscle. Almost on the verge of tears, you remain standing by the closet door. You wait a while, and the voice almost disappears as you hear the wooden door shut. 

"Thank God! That was close." You say that out loud, but the creepy voice, now outside the door, speaks.

"I'll find you." It laughs to itself, maniacally. Finally, you listen for footsteps strolling down the stairs. 

"I have to get out of here," you say, worryingly. You quickly enter the upstairs hallway, being vigilant of the voice and its intentions. There are stairs below you, but you presume the voice went that way. However, doors still left unopened grab your curiosity. What should you do?
