Hwang Soo-Ho had a tough childhood, always in the shadows and kept aside, while her older brother, In-Ho and her younger brother, Jun-Ho, were always given the attention and spotlight, In-Ho praised for his achievements while Jun-Ho constantly had been babied, Soo-Ho was chucked across to the side and had been raised to be independent and often self-reliant. She got along decently with her older brother, In-Ho as he had always defended her against their parents and they would listen to him and had a soft spot for Jun-Ho, although her mother and father had never wanted a girl, they had always wanted a boy, often calling her things like a mistake.

In her childhood, she would often act on her thoughts almost immediately just to get some attention from her parents; whether it was good or bad. Although, all of the time, it was indeed bad and she would have trouble playing with other kids and would often get violent.

This slowly lead to her written demise, she had a significant age gap with her older brother and he ended up getting married when Soo-Ho was a teenager and moved out. A few years later, his wife suddenly fell sick and he disappeared almost immediately, making the mental and physical abuse from her parents worsen.

To help cope with the taunting, beating and insulting, she picked up smoking and drinking, then out of curiosity she bought drugs from her at the time boyfriend. First, it was a Saturday night thing. Then it felt so good she started doing it on Tuesdays, then on Thursdays, then it got her. It controlled her like a puppet.

Eventually, her boyfriend suddenly ran away one night, he left her a note which read he had left to become a rapper and pursue his dream, which only enraged Soo-Ho more, as the only person she had loved had betrayed her. She never truly got over him, hence the reason Dae and her's relationship never affected her as much it should've, although she loved Dae too. But she would never love Dae as much as she loved him.

His name was Choi Su-Bong and he never failed to make her laugh when she was upset, due to his presence, she was somewhat sane for a while. After he left her unexpectedly to pursue rapping, she felt like she had lost the sun in her darkness, Dae compared to Su-Bong was a temporary candle.

She then was perceived as a beautiful and attractive girl, she did not hesitate to use her looks as a manipulative tool, specifically with men, she managed to avoid getting convicted of many crimes because of this.

As she grew older into teenhood and adulthood, she began to lack sympathy for others and grew hostile and reckless. In her teen years, her parents had to bail her out of jail several times for reckless endangerment, assault, underage drinking and drug possession. She even got accused of attempted murder because of an impulsive fight at school, but then was found not guilty; somehow.

As she began to get older, her drug use slowly stopped but her alcoholism and smoking only got worse.

When Hyun Dae gave her the opportunity to become a guard in Squid Game, she declined at first, but then ended up accepting. She loved being merciless and ruthless towards insufficient civilians, she didn't feel bad at all. They had several opportunities to leave, but let their greed win. Every. Single. Time.

Then, her sudden relationship and then marriage with Dae only made herself spiral more, he was manipulative, a sadist, unapologetic, had random outbursts, a gaslighter, a verbal, physical, sexual and emotional abuser, a controlling husband, intrusive, secretive, degrading, overprotective, liar, and a cheater. He didn't hesitate to admit he was all of these traits, but Soo-Ho never left him. She loved him and she never knew what a healthy relationship was supposed to look like, as her relationship with Su-Bong made her a drug addict. Her relationship with Dae only made herself gain all of these traits, except becoming a  sexual abuser or a cheater. She was always loyal to Dae, no matter what.
