Chica stood off to the side patiently as you booted up the computer on your garage workbench. You had set yourself up to work on all kinds of projects when you first moved in, the workbench and all it's little compartments filled with bits and pieces for the mechanical aspect, and the computer for the technical aspect. Sure, you could've used the computer in your office for that, but it was much easier just to have a separate one in the garage. Heck, you even installed a privacy curtain in case you wanted to hide something from your neighbors and you needed the garage door open for whatever reason. It was currently off to the side, however.

The animatronics were due for routine maintenance, but with the Parts and Service facility currently unavailable, you would have to make due with your at-home setup. They were a little worried about you working with a hurt wrist, but you promised them you'd be extra careful. They begrudgingly agreed, only because they would be right there to help if you needed it. You decided to see Chica first since you wanted to see how she was holding up with the "no eating" thing.

"All right, Chica. Before we begin on your programming check, do you have any problems you'd like me to look at mechanical-wise?" You asked, finally seeing the computer come online.

"I think I have some loose wires in my left leg." She admitted.

"Can you open your casing, and let me look." She did, and just like she said, there were some wires that had come loose. You quickly, but carefully, push them back in. You checked for other problems. There were none.

"Alright. Is there anything else?" You asked, as her casing closed back up.

"No. Save for yesterday, we haven't really gone anywhere or done anything to cause physical damage." She explained, and you nodded to show you understood.

"Okay, let's plug you in." You said, getting the check-up software booted.

Chica wordlessly opened a small compartment on the side of her head, and pulled out a wire designed to plug into a computer. She handed it to you, and you placed it in the proper slot. A quick glance showed that there were no errors or bugs to work on. Once it was clear that she was running at optimal capacity, you unplugged her and she returned the wire to its compartment.

"Before you go, I wanted to ask how you're doing on the "no eating"." you said, giving her your full attention. Her whole body slumped at the inquiry.

"It's been hard. Really hard. I've managed to hold out for now, but that mean kitchen keeps calling out to me." She admitted, sounding just as distressed as she looked.

"Have you told your friends yet?" you asked, and she tensed.

"No. I'm a little embarrassed to be honest." She wasn't meeting your gaze.

"It's your choice if you want to tell them or not, but they're your friends, Chica. They only want what's best for you, and won't judge you for anything." She only nodded at your advice.

"And, here's something else to consider. Food for you is an addiction, not unlike smoking and drinking alcohol for humans. It feels good at the time, but it can do some damage to your body. And the trick to getting over addictions is to have a strong support group. I'll do my best to be there for you, but once you go back to the PizzaPlex, I won't be there 24/7. The others will, and I know they will help you if you only ask them to." You said, and she seemed to really consider your words.

"I'll think about it." she said after a few moments of thoughtful silence.

"That's all I ask. Now can you send Sun in for his checkup." she nodded, and left. Now that you were no longer upset about yesterday, you needed to take the time to explain to him what he did wrong.

"Helloooo! I'm ready~!" Sun cheered as he literally spun over to you.

You did the same routine with him as you did with Chica. There was nothing wrong, which you expected of him. He was designed to be a bit more indestructible since he directly interacted with small kids on a daily basis. Small kids who tended to break things whether they meant to or not. His programming was also spic-n-span.

"Okay, Sun. Before we turn off the light for Moon's check-up, I wanted to talk to you about yesterday." You began.

"Me too." His reply caught you off guard.

"Really?" You raised an eyebrow at him.

"Yeah, I wanted to thank you. I'm not as dense as some people seem to think. I know I can be too much sometimes, especially when excited. I went into yesterday, fully expecting you to yell at me at least once, but you didn't. Freddy even told me how hard you tried to not hurt my feelings despite the stress I no doubt put you through. You have no idea how much that means to me. So thank you, thank you, THANK YOU!" Sun swooped you into a tight hug. You returned it, a smile gracing your lips. As much of a handful as he could be, Sun was just too likable.

"You're welcome, but I do have one question. If you expected me to yell at you yesterday, why did you insist on it being just us? Why not have someone else there to ensure that I wouldn't get upset and yell?" You asked, face still smooshed into his chest plate.

"You get to hang out with the others at the PizzaPlex all the time because all of you are allowed breaks throughout the day. I'm busy at the Daycare from opening 'til closing, because even when the guest's leave with their children, I'm stuck watching the kids of the employees until they go home. By the time they leave, you usually are gone too. I just wanted to spend time with you without the others getting involved. And I have long accepted the fact that one of the hazards of hanging out with a friend one on one is to be yelled at eventually." he explained, still not letting go of the hug. You felt your heart go out to the animatronic in your arms. You knew he enjoyed the company of the children, and he got to see the others during closing, but he only ever saw you when he needed a maintenance check.

"I'm sorry, Sun. I've started hanging out with the others after my shift on some days, maybe I can come visit you and the kids on other days. That way you won't have to wait so long to see me." You offered. Sun squeezed you closer and spun around.

"REALLY? THAT WOULD BE AMAZIIIIIIIIIING!" He cheered loudly. You were getting a little dizzy, but decided to let him have this. He finally calmed down enough to release you. You grabbed the workbench to help steady yourself.

"Oh we are going to play SO MANY games! How do you feel about finger paint? OH! What about hide and seek? The kids LOVE that game!" he started rambling in his excitement.

"Sun? I know you're excited, but I still need to talk to you." You snapped your fingers in front of him to get his attention.

"Oh, sorry, Starshine! Please, go on." Sun said, giving you his full attention.

"You know how I bought all the materials you used yesterday?" you asked.

"Yes, and I thought it was sooooo nice of you! Now I have a BUNCH of new puppets for puppet shows!" He said excitedly, and you winced a little.

"Yeah... I didn't buy those to be nice. I bought them because I had to. You see, every store has a policy: you break it, you buy it. This counts for using materials as well, because the store can't resell it. So when you made your puppet yesterday..." you trailed off, and you saw the pieces connect in his mind.

"Oh, Starshine! I'm so sorry! I thought I had come up with a clever solution, but I just wound up costing you a lot of money! Can you ever forgive me?" He asked, staring at the ground in his shame.

"I already forgave you. I just wanted to make sure you understood what you did wrong so we don't have a repeat of it." you explained, patting his shoulder. He wrapped you in another hug, this one less excited than the last.

"Rest assured, I will never make that mistake again." He promised, and you breathed a sigh of relief.

"Thank you. Now, can you please turn off the lights so Moon can have his check-up?" You asked, and Sun let you go.

"Can dooooo!" he said, and ran over to the switch.

The lights turned off, and Moon took over their shared body. Unlike his counterpart, Moon was very calm and quiet. He only spoke when he felt it was necessary, and held absolutely still. The check-up didn't take long at all.

"Before Sun takes over again, I just wanted to thank you. It's hard for us to make friends, especially since I'm almost never out. So your friendship means a lot to the both of us." he said, and you hugged him in response.

"I'm glad we're friends too, Moon." You said, and he gently returned the hug. The hug only lasted a few more seconds before it broke apart and Moon turned the light back on.

"Who would you like me to send in?" Sun asked as his rays poked out.

"Monty."

The alligator's check-up was mostly uneventful. Save for one of his bottom teeth being loose, he didn't have any issues. Roxy was much the same. Though they both tried to make a jab at you about tricking them into thinking you were dying a few days ago. You promptly reminded them that they were the ones digging through your laundry and making assumptions. You tried to avoid the period talk to the best of your ability. They just laughed in response. Soon it was Freddy's turn. He had a few loose wires like Chica, but other than that, no issues.

"Okay, Freddy. I believe you promised me that you'd finish the story if I fell asleep last night." You said, shutting down the computer. You had purposefully saved him for last just so no one else would have to wait on the two of you. Freddy gave an amused chuckle.

"I did, didn't I? Where did we leave off?" he asked, and you scooted the bar stool closer to him.

"Roxy had found Smudge in the mailbox." you reminded him.

"Right, so we all arrived, and were trying to figure out how to free him-" he jumped right back in, and you listened intently. You laughed at the part where Roxy kidnapped a mailwoman. All too soon, the story reached a conclusion.

"Oh wow, I'm glad the cat was safe. Can't imagine how poor Cindy would react if he was hurt." You said, wincing a little as you remembered a family pet that wasn't quite so lucky.

"Yeah, you should've seen her eyes light up when they finally reunited. It was the cutest thing." Freddy smiled at the memory.

"Even when you're not on the clock, you're still working hard to make kids happy. I really admire that." You said, thinking about his kind nature.

"It's not that big of a deal. I just can't stand to see a child so upset." he said, his ears twitching a little at your praise.

"But it is a big deal. Most people would just ignore her cries of distress, you didn't. You think my character is good, but yours is pretty amazing as well." You complimented, and he rubbed the back of his neck.

"The others helped too. I wasn't the only one who ran out there when she started crying." he said, once again, downplaying his actions.

"I will compliment them the next time I talk to them, but right now I'm talking to you. And I want you to know that you're amazing too."

"Oh no, I'm-"

"Freddy, stop being humble for two seconds, and just take the dang compliment!" You interrupted. He laughed a little in embarrassment.

"Thank you." he said simply.

"You're welcome. You see, was that so hard?" You shook your head. This bear was something else.

"But it's really nothing." he insisted, and you rolled your eyes.

"Fine, then how I handled Sun yesterday was nothing too." If he wanted to play hardball, you'd play hardball.

"Wha- no it wasn't! You did outstanding!"

"Hmmm. I don't think so."

"Well it was. I already explained to you how others would-"

"If you won't accept my compliments, then why should I accept yours?" Your question made him freeze in place. He stayed in the same position as he processed your words. Finally, after a few minutes she shook his head with an embarrassed chuckle.

"You got me there. Fine, what I did yesterday was good too. You happy?" he asked, sounding more amused than anything.

"No. Say you did amazing." You said, your stubbornness setting in.

"I did amazing."

"Now, I'm satisfied." You smiled, and he smiled back.

"You're something else, you know that?" he asked.

"Funny, I was just thinking the same thing." You stuck your tongue out at him, making him laugh.

"You remind me of this one little girl I met a few years ago." he said, making you lean forward a little in interest.

"Oh yeah? How so?"

He proceeded to tell a story about a sassy little girl who told Monty off for "being mean" to Freddy. In actuality, it was just the normal banter between bandmates, but children interpret things differently. That reminded you of a story about your cousin, which reminded him of another story. Back and forth you guys went, talking about anything and everything that came to your minds. You probably would've spent the whole day talking if you weren't interrupted.

"What are the two of you doing in here?" Roxy asked, standing in the doorway with an eyebrow raised.

"We're just talking." you said with a shrug.

"What could you possibly be talking about that would last for several hours?" Roxy asked, and you quickly checked the time. It was four hours after you finished with Freddy's check-up. You didn't even realize how fast the time was going.

"Oh wow! I didn't even notice!" You voiced your surprise.

"We were having so much fun that time just slipped away." Freddy said, also checking the time in his processor. Roxy glanced between the two of you with an unreadable expression.

"Right... it's just as well. Chica wanted to talk to all of us about something anyways." she said, still looking at you with that face. You widened your eyes. Was she going to tell her friends already? You didn't expect her to decide so quickly.

"Come on, if she wants to talk about what I think it is, then we need to listen to her." You said, jumping off the bar stool.

"Wait, you know what she wants to discuss?" Freddy asked.

"If I'm right, then yes." you said, as you led your bewildered friends into the house.
