Dear Future Mechanic,
So, I need to explain something about ordering casings for the animatronics. When we first get them, they're pre-built so we can jump right into opening up the business. When you order the parts separately with the intention of building them yourself, well...
Okay, look. You have to paint Bonnie's casing. Don't worry, we bought all the paint you could ever need, and then some. But you need to be thorough! Primer, first layer, second layer, third layer, and finally the coating. There are Bonnie plushies and posters for you to get a good reference on how he's colored.
Sorry for the inconvenience, and thank you SO MUCH for rebuilding Bonnie!
Sincerely,
Mr. Selik

You read the note with a dumbfounded expression on your face. You had to paint Bonnie? The cheap bastards at Fazbear Entertainment couldn't have the parts painted in their factories! You massaged your temple as you worked out a plan in your head. It was possible, and it would give you the time you needed to finish Bonnie's mind to boot! You loaded up your van with the parts, paint, and merchandise and then you were on your way back home.
Your mind drifted back to the previous day as the road stretched out in front of you. Freddy waited for you at the entrance, and was so pleased to see you well-rested that his ears were wiggling the whole time. Your heart melted a little at how adorable it was. He helped you carry the boxes of donuts to Parts and Service where your team happily received your gratitude. It was then you realized how worried not just Freddy was, but all of them as well. It made you feel warm inside to know that your employees cared about you.
You snapped out of your musings when you pulled into your garage. You didn't bother closing the door since the paint fumes would need to vent, and the privacy curtains would hide everything. The casing was in boxes, and you'd just unload them behind the curtain. Before you did that, however, you dug out your old tarp, and placed it on the ground. That's when you moved boxes and unloaded everything.
You pulled out the old Bonnie merch, and studied what parts were what color, and grouped them together that way. Purple parts with purple, blue parts with blue, etc. The only part you had to be intricate about was the face since there were multiple colors on it. His body was to be dark purple with light purple highlights. His shoulder pads and leg warmers were to be a shade of baby blue. His claws and bowtie were a bright red, and black was for his nose, whiskers, and spiked arm bands, with the spikes being white of course. You had your work cut out for you.
You grabbed your paint sprayer, and loaded it with the primer. You put on your mask, and gave everything a healthy coating. Once you were satisfied, you turned to your computer as it dried.
Bonnie's memories were completely patched up, and ready to go. All that was left was to go through his coding to spot and fix problems manually. That was easily something you could get knocked out that weekend as you intermingled it with painting Bonnie.
That was the gist of your Saturday, working on code in between painting. You got the second color coat on before calling it quits for the night. You closed the garage door to prevent any curious onlookers, but left the door leading into the house open and cracking a few windows to help ventilate. Thanks to that, the garage didn't make you lightheaded with paint fumes Sunday morning. You closed the windows, and reopened the garage.
In the span of the morning you managed to get the third color layer and coating on, AND you finished fixing the last of Bonnie's mind. You attached the new endo to your computer, and downloaded Bonnie onto it. The process took long enough for the coating to finally dry. The rest of the day was spent putting the casing around Bonnie. By the time evening rolled around, Bonnie stood in front of you, whole. There was only one more thing to do. You grabbed the cables to the charging pad, and placed them into your house's power source. You'd let him charge overnight. That should be more than enough to get his battery at 100%. A satisfied smile adorned your face as you grabbed your phone to call Mr. Selik.
"(Y/N)! Is everything okay?" came his worried tone. Considering the last time you called out of the blue, you felt it was a little warranted.
"He's done." Was all you said. The line was silent for a moment, before he spoke again.
"Come again?"
"He's done. I finished just moments ago." You couldn't stop smiling even if you tried.
"Holy- really? I mean, I KNEW he'd be... He's really finished?!" Mr. Selik tried to process everything.
"Yup. He's not awake yet since he still needs to charge. I think overnight is long enough." You had not stopped admiring your handiwork. For an animatronic built by one person from her garage FROM SCRATCH, he looked astounding. No less impressive than the others at least.
"THIS IS AMAZING! I'm coming over tomorrow! DON'T wake him until I get there!" he instructed, managing to both sound like your boss and an excitable toddler.
"What about work?" You raised an eyebrow. As excited as you were to have Bonnie return, you also didn't want to ignore your only source of income.
"I'm closing the PizzaPlex for tomorrow! AND Tuesday! With apologies to the public for any inconvenience, of course, but also with the announcement of something to be revealed on Wednesday!" Mr. Selik was clearly planning this as he went.
"Why two days?" You couldn't help but ask.
"One day to get Bonnie caught up to speed, and to process the fact that he was dead for three years. And one day to bring him back home, reunite him with his friends, and prepare the staff for the following day." Mr. Selik said, thinking out loud. For something that he came up with on the spot, it was pretty sound. You guessed that was why he was the big manager of the PizzaPlex.
"Now I can't wait for work!" You admitted, your excitement getting a hold of you.
"I'd better go so I can make the announcement to all staff about this coming week." Mr. Selik said, and the two of you bid each other farewell before hanging up. You had no idea how you were going to sleep that night. You were mere hours away from finally getting to meet the infamous Glamrock Bonnie.

Bonnie opened his eyes to see himself in an unfamiliar place. It was a small room with a car and a workbench of some kind. Two people stood in front of him. One he recognized as Mr. Selik, the Head Manager of the PizzaPlex, but you... he couldn't place you at all.
"Bonnie? Are you in there?" Mr. Selik asked, taking a tentative step forward.
"Don't tell me I broke him somehow." You said, sounding rather worried.
"I'll tell you what's really broken: Monty's bowling abilities." Bonnie couldn't help but joke. He was a little anxious about the unfamiliarity of where he was, and the uncertainty of what was going on, and jokes were how he coped.
"It IS him!" Mr. Selik cheered, and hugged Bonnie. You gave a big sigh of relief, and smiled up at him.
"Whoa, I know you're happy to see me, but please, watch the drool." Mr. Selik laughed, and let him go.
"There's the comedian we all know and love. Sorry about that, I just really missed you, is all." He said, wiping away a few tears that had slipped down his face.
"Well I hope your aim gets better." Bonnie was getting rather worried about Mr. Selik's behavior. Add in the fact that he was certain they weren't in the PizzaPlex, AND he couldn't ping any of the others.
"Anyways, I should introduce you to the person who fixed you up. This is (Y/N) (L/N), and she's the new Head Mechanic at the PizzaPlex." he explained, and Bonnie's mind quickly tried to catch up with what Mr. Selik was saying.
Fixed up? He was broken? And it was long enough for Parts and Service to get a new boss? Bonnie accessed his most recent memories, and was genuinely startled to see things, not from his own perspective, but from Monty's. He watched at the giant bucket at his golf course fell and crushed him. The memory ended when the bucket made the impact.
"Why is my memory from Monty's perspective?" Bonnie was too shocked to even try to make a joke.
"There were a lot of memory gaps I had to fill in. There's more than just Monty's perspective. You have a little bit of everyone, plus a lot of security footage. Sorry if it's a little janky, but I thought you'd appreciate having some form of a complete memory." You apologized.
Bonnie did a double take. Since when did mechanics apologize about anything? And you were actually talking to him? Not about him to Mr. Selik, but looking him in the eye and directing your speech at HIM. Bonnie was floored, but also cautiously optimistic about the state of Parts and Service. If you were willing to show that much courtesy to him, then he could only imagine how much friendlier their place of repairs has become.
"Anyways, let's move to the living room. We need to catch you up on everything, and sitting on a couch is much more comfortable than standing in a garage." Mr. Selik said, snapping Bonnie out of his musings.
"You need to cushion the blow of your news?" Bonnie said, and Mr. Selik didn't laugh this time.
"A little, yeah. I'll explain when we get there." He was taken aback by how serious Mr. Selik was about this whole thing.
He silently followed the two of you through the garage door, into a small kitchen, and into the living room. Bonnie studied everything he saw rather closely. He had never been anywhere outside of the PizzaPlex before, and he had the urge to explore this place. He spotted the mural on the wall. The creator of it was obviously Sun, since no one else could ever recreate that style. It depicted you and all his friends hanging out together. How long had he been gone for you to get close enough to the others to have one of them make a gift like this? He absentmindedly sat down when you and Mr. Selik did.
"Alright, I'm just going to rip the bandaid right off. Bonnie, you've been broken for a little over three years now." Mr. Selik's voice rang in his head.
Three years...
Three YEARS...
THREE YEARS!!!!
"WHAT?!" Bonnie yelled as he pulled his ears down around his face in a nervous habit.
He had been gone for THAT LONG? What took them? Why wasn't he repaired in Parts and Service? Were the others okay? How was Freddy holding up? How was Monty? He DIED in front of the poor gator, and it looked quite gruesome too!
You placed a hand on his shoulder, and that pulled him out of his thoughts. He turned to look at you, and you were giving him a concerned/understanding expression.
"I know you have a lot of questions, but I promise you they will all be answered." You reassured him, and he glanced at Mr. Selik who nodded in agreement. If this was how you typically treated animatronics, no wonder the others loved you to the point of making a mural to put in your house.
"Tell me everything." Bonnie said, letting go of his ears. He hated being serious, but he had a feeling that a topic like this needed to be treated with reverence.
"It all started in Monty Golf..."
