IN WHICH...
If you asked Cordelia McKinley why her friendship with Connor Stoll deteriorated, she would tell you it was simply them growing out of each other. That would be a lie, of course.

The real reason had nothing to do with a spurt of maturity and everything to do with Luke Castellan. As it always does. As soon as he betrayed camp, Connor pulled away from the daughter of Amphirite in a way of protecting her. And also in fear that she would hate him.

       Cordelia, obviously, didn't know this. To say that she was pissed was an understatement. She had been friends with him since she first started camp five years before, what had changed?

She never got the answers, unfortunately. She made some new friends, talked to new people, and worked on her powers. In as little as two years she had managed to transform herself, her hair longer and a tad bit more brighter, and she was better with her sword (thanks to Percy Jackson).

       Her friendship with Connor faded to the back of her mind. She could care less about the Hermes boy, really. The opposite could be said for the aforementioned demigod. All he could really think about was how stupid he'd been in breaking off their friendship. He figured there'd be no way to mend their relationship.

The Oracle, however, seemed to say otherwise.
