CHAPTER ONE:
"TROUBLESOME"
  █▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄█
|WINTERFELL, mid 279 AC|

Robert Baratheon had sipped onto some wine. He couldn't stop thinking of the maid that stood across from him. A maid, with jet-black hair and hazel eyes, staring right at him with a smile. He slammed down another ale as Eddard tried to stop him.
"Easy, Robert. You're going to get yourself killed if you keep drinking." Eddard said.

"You wrong about that, Ned. When I drink, I fight better and perform better." Eddard took a look at the side noticing a maid staring at them at Robert. "You see that maid is waiting for me. She wants me." Robert got up, only to be brought down by Eddard.

"You're serious? She is maid. The daughter of the woman you had this morning," he clicked his tongue, trying to show Robert. He pointed to a woman walking over to the girl bending down to kiss her daughter forehead. "You see, Robert. The girl is just a child."

"A child, I can have." Robert added still eyeing the girl from the distance. "A girl," Eddard continued.

Eddard truly loved Robert Baratheon. He was like a brother he never had. Robert Baratheon and Tion Lannister are brothers that he never expected to have and he cherishes them the most. Even when they are fighting inner demons themselves.

"I fucked her." Tion approached them. He took sit beside them. "Tion, you ruined my mood," Robert muttered , clearly disgusted. "You can't be serious, Tion." Eddard asked.

"I did. She is known as a whore around the Vale. Her mother and her shared similarities in men," he smirked. Robert felt his head spinning slowly, he pounded his head onto the floor. "Oh god, no"

"What?" Eddard asked looking between both of them. "Tion and I, fucked the mother."  Robert added on, murmuring. Robert felt like he was ready to gaged. He truly didn't understand.

"You're married, Tion. Why should you be the man who mingles with everybody? I'm single." Robert paused. "Looking for a woman."

"Oh, please. You already have a bastard daughter." Tion added on. "That's enough,"  Eddard finished.

"You have a wife, and children." Robert finished. "Which is? Last, I heard. Your wife, Rose is begging for you to come back. Your children need their father at their side." That was the final straw, Tion bursted out of his seat ready to attack, Eddard stopped him.
"Robert is drunk. You know this isn't him?" Eddard tried reasoning with him. "This isn't the Robb, we know."

"This isn't," Tion repeated. Robert Baratheon felt his hand squeezed by Eddard. "Robert, you need to come here and apologize." Eddard ordered. Within some hours, all three men were siting down, grabbing some wine. They were in Robert chambers, clearly drunk, discussing about life.

"How can they forced me to love Rose? I never loved her. This was marriage arranged by my parents." He took another sip. "Truly, I'm sure you came to love her right?" Eddard suddenly asked.

Tion turned to looked at him. "At first. I loved her elder sister, she was beautiful and willful, but held some elegance and grace. That's what I love about her. I loved her more than anything till, she gotten herself pregnant with a sea-horse child."

"Sea-horse child?" Robert asked, clearly confused. Tion took another sip. "Yes. She soon gotten herself pregnant and they forced her to marry that wench. My parents forced me to choose next best. Her sister, Rose. She was very young but a perfect match for their precious lannister son."

"You're not serious?" Eddard asked.

"Why are you asking me all of this?" Tion replied. He leaned closer, curious. "Ned here is expected to married a sea-horse. They say she's very beautiful." Robert confessed. Tion leaned closer, clearly interested.

"Alyssa Velaryon. I heard of her. She's very beautiful. Almost married to Rhaegar Targaryen." With that revelation, Eddard took another sip of wine, refusing to hear any further. It couldn't be such revelation. "Oh, yes. I do remember my mother urging me to meet her when, I was younger. I didn't want to. She's indeed very beautiful but have you seen her sister? With that body."

"I don't want to talk about Alyssa. Nor her sisters and brothers." Eddard confessed taking a sip of wine, again. Robert reached for another glass when Tion, took it from him.

"You keep drinking like that I'll have to take your place, Stag." Tion joked, causing Eddard chuckled and Robert to look at him.

"Ha, don't worry,. I'll be fine." Robert told them.
"We'll see." Tion began to make his way towards the door. "I don't want Jon to come and get angry."
He bid them farewell, heading back his chambers leaving Robert and Eddard alone. Robert noticed Eddard looks. "Don't worry, lad. You'll surely marry her and come to love her. She is very beautiful. I remember her, she was indeed graceful girl. Also the apple of her father eyes." He confessed causing Ned to take a look at him.

"Surely, your prediction will come true. I'm sure one say you'll fine love, Robert." He said causing Robert to blinked twice.

"Love?" Robert paused. "I cannot find love while I'm here in the Vale. I've been hearing rumors your father is looking for a alliance for his daughter."

"Lyanna?" Eddard asked.

"Yes," he replied shortly. "I heard of her. I would like to meet her personally," he admitted. Eddard sighed. "She is very different than rest of the ladies you conquer. Lyanna is my sister, my flesh and blood." Eddard sighed. "She is nothing compare to Lyarra."

"Lyarra?" Robert asked. He had never heard of that name before. "Yes, my youngest sister. Lyarra and Lyanna are very different. Lyarra enjoys having the privilege of being a lady, unlike Lyanna." With that the final sentence, Robert began to dazed. Lyarra Stark. Who was she?

"Surely, woman are confusing," Robert admitted taking another sip of wine. "No matter, well shall meet your brothers and sisters when we arrive to Winterfell the following month."

"I sure hope so, to meet them." Robert confessed smiling. Eddard let out a sighed. "I'm sure they will leave such a impression on you. My sisters are two kind for this world. To different. I must protect them, to the very end."

"Agreed, Ned!" With that sentence, Robert took a sip of his wine, placed himself on his bed staring at the ceiling. He really wanted to go to Winterfell. "The things we do for family," he murmured.

|WINTERFELL,mid 279 AC|

"You don't have to be here," Edgar assured Lyarra. They were in his room he was currently, aching in pain. "Yes. I do."

"Oh please, go with your family. I don't want to cause any more trouble with your family anymore." Edgar told her, softly. He sighed as he leaded forward, sitting on his bed. Lyarra could see bandages covering his arm, with bruises all over his body. "I know you could have. . but you didn't. I appreciate it. You refused to fight my brother. I appreciate it." With that sentence, he scoffed. Edgar couldn't believed it, she actually believed him. He didn't fight him because of her. If he had, she wouldn't be there with him.

"Is she pretty?" Edgar turned to look at her. "Who?"
Lyarra bit her lip, sighing. "The one you're going to wed. I bet she's pretty." He let out a sigh.
"No, I hear she's horse." With that they both stared at each other unsure, till they bursted in laughs. "You can't be serious."

"No. She's very beautiful. A daughter of a knight and Tully. That's what I hear. Her name is Raina. She's true beauty if you ask me," with that, Lyarra smiled. "I'm glad to hear you're enchanted by your future wife. I wish you the happiness and love, you deserve." With that, she leaned closer to placed a kiss on his cheek.

"Lyarra, you should know. I'm going to happy. I know, I will." She leaned back confused.
"It doesn't mean. I will never stop loving you. It's in my heart. I cannot stop." With that, she slowly backed away. "It's not fair."

"What?" He tried to get up, only to be brought down. "Enough! Don't get up! You're hurt. Edgar, listen to me," Lyarra quickly went to his side, bending down. She took his hand and kissed it. "I did love you, once. I tried and tried. You don't appeared in my heart. Someday, I'll meet a person and will fall in love, with that man. I'll shall cherish and love that man. You and me can't never be together. I just can't." She began to backed away only for Edgar to grabbed them.

"You loved me? What changed?"

Lyarra backed away. "You. Your blacksmith and I'm lady of winterfell. We can never together. I'm destined to become a wife to a lord someday. You're destined to have a family and be a loving and cherishing father to them. Your children. I'm so sorry, Edgar. I truly love you as a friend, I'll never forget that." With that last sentence, she wiped some tears began to leave. Edgar stood on his bed lost for words and thoughts. What had he done?

She had slept with a fortnight ago. When the morning arise, Lyarra began to make her way towards the other side of the courtyard.

"Lyarra!" Immediately she turned around to see Brandon and Lyanna. No way! She is not talking to him. She turn herself the other way began walking, ignoring him. "If it's you they're walking away for good reason." Brandon joked. Lyanna let out a hardy laugh before slinging his arm over his shoulder.
"Ha, good one, Brandon. Come on, help me get ready!" Lyarra finally stopped turning her steps to face them.

"What is it?" She asked.

"We must get ready! It's concluded that Ned and Robert will be arriving sometime this week. Father has asked for us, to be present at tonight feast. It's minor feast." Brandon had continued. "You're disgusting! Lyarra spoke back.

"You have no idea? You don't stick your heads into other people personal life!" Brandon replied, angrily.
"Enough!" Lyanna tried to interrupt.

"What's the truth then?" Lyarra asked.

"Lord Stark." Ser William greeted him. All three siblings looked to the side noticing their father. "Father?!" All three siblings turned to look at him.

"Enough! I had enough of this! Always complaining about nonsense! I had enough!" Rickard boasted, shaking. "Brandon, come with me. We have matters to discuss concerning your future marriage to Catelyn Tully. Her father has requested we come to meet them for a feast, in our honor. He says he wants to meet you." With that, Lyarra watched as Brandon followed their father along listening to his every word.

"Truly look as brothers," Lyanna confessed. Lyarra sighed. "Lyarra listen to Brandon. He cares for us. You need to understand Brandon is our elder brother. You shouldn't listened to others. Remember we're a family."

"Family is what matters the most," she said shortly. She watched as she smiled at her response. Truly, Lyarra was lost.

Within days, she had spend her time with Alyssa.
"You can't be serious?" She questioned her.
"Why not? Eddard isn't here. Jason wishes for me. Look at the letter. He still wants me. Help me run away. You know all the routes. I don't want to be here anymore."

Lyarra couldn't take it. "No!"

"Eddard will love you and cherish you. Don't run away! Just don't!"

Alyssa began to tear up. "I'm not loved here. Nor, will I. I came here to perhaps, speak and talk some sense to Brandon in accepting me as his future lady. I had hope, I lost it." With that she sighed. "Let me speak to Brandon. It's been a while. I'm sure, he would love for me to talk to her."

"Yes, please." She began to make her way, trying to find Brandon. Just to find him speaking to Benjen. "Bran? May we speak?" They were in the courtyard.

"Lyarra? Of course," he began to hand Benjen the small stuff, he carried and made his ways towards her. "What is it?"

"I missed you, big brother." Lyarra said, causing him to smile.
"I missed you too." He replied, tears in his eyes.
"We shouldn't fight. Family matters." Lyarra said in pained breath.
"You are." He replied. "Family."
"I'm not." She said as at him. "I clearly chose you over Edgar. I betrayed my own blood."

"You did for love? Who could blame you?" He said.

"Why did you do it?" She asked. He sighed. "Long ago, I loved a woman. She was from a minor house, pure girl. Edgar loved her too. I watched as he took her away and she die."

"What?" She asked.

"She died birthing a child. That child died, too." Lyarra couldn't believed it. She remember the story he told her of a woman, he loved, and how she died by breaking his heart.

"I was protecting you from him. I don't want you to end up with like her. You're not going to die." Brandon said, looking at her.

"I'm sorry, I'm sorry." Lyarra managed to say. She reached for a hug, he leaned forward.
"I'm truly sorry, Brandon."

"It's okay, nothing will ever happen to you, as long as I'm here." He held onto her, giving her a hug. She truly felt safe in her brother arms.

Suddenly there some noises. They both turned to the sides looking ahead. They saw Lyanna running. "What's wrong?" Brandon asked.

"Haven't you heard? Ned is back." She said as Benjen appeared next to her nodded. "Come, Lyarra, Ned is here. It's time to meet this infamous Robert Baratheon we hear all the time." Benjen yelled grabbing her hand pulling her away.

A/N: Hi. So, I planned to make the first five chapters major backgrounds for the rest of my story-line characters. After the fifth chapter, it will be starting off with the arrival of Robert and Ned, it's going to be a major time-jump.

I do suggest you read the first five chapters. It wouldn't hurt to read it. It will explain a lot later on. Keep in mind, I have written five chapters already and am in the process of major editing. I'm just starting on the six chapter which will involve Robert and Ned returning. That's where the story-line will begin, it's going to be a bumpy ride from then.

Lastly, the world is changing right now. Stay safe, and take care. Make sure you to take of yourself
