Y/n: Father! Wait for me!

    The young little girl ran after her dad with those little feet of hers. Y/n L/n was the daughter of a sailor, probably because his job requires travelling on the sea for months, Y/n loves following her father whenever he has to go with his crew, only then, she was able to see the beautiful scenery and the marvellous sea creatures.

Father: Y/n slow down, you might fall.

Y/n: I won't! 

Father: Alright, let me help you get up on the ship. 

Y/n: Okay!

  A sunny day, the wind's whiffling, the fresh air combining with the salty scent coming from the sea is something that Y/n is already familiar with. Aside from Y/n's ship, there's many more, most of them are busy doing their own job, so does Y/n's father. Y/n's mother had passed away because of disease, Y/n is all he had left so he worked really hard. 
  Y/n was playing by her own on their ship when another sailor from a different ship yelled out loud.

Sailor: I've got something stuck in my fishing net!!!!!

?: Oh, they're quite valuable. We're gonna be rich!!

   Y/n wondered what happened so she asked her father to move their ship closer. There, she saw three merfolks, two eels and an octopus-like, two of them look angry while the other look scared, he was crying. Y/n wanted to see them up close but the one who caught them shouted at her. 

Sailor: The hell are you doing, stay away from those!

Y/n: Y-yes sir..

   Seeing her being shouted at, her father was mad, he came and kinda had an argument with the other man. Taking this opportunity , Y/n climbed onto his ship, with her small figure, no one realized a kid just entered the ship. She used a dagger, which were given by her dad as a defense weapon, to cut the net so that the trio could get out. Being set free, those three were a bit confused but soon thanked her and got off the ship. Finished rescuing those, Y/n quietly got onto her father's ship again just to see the man being punched in his face. He cursed a lot, but that really satisfied Y/n, her father's anger also cooled down.

Father: Let's go, Y/n, we don't have time to listen to such asshole.

Sailor: Yeah? F*ck off, loser!

   Their ship then head back to where their home were, leaving the man screaming for his life.

Sailor: AAAAAHHH! Where are they, I saw them, right there, since when did they got out?

  Y/n tried her best to hold her laughter back cause she doesn't want her father to figure out she's the one who did that. She was a bit sad that she didn't get the chance to talk to them, they looked friendly but she had that feeling when all four of them will soon reunited.
   Time goes by, Y/n is now a beautiful lady, more precisely, the most beautiful girl in her village. She received many proposals from men in and out of her village, making the girls so jealous that they would always find a way to mess with her either if she's on the field or doing house chores. Her life became a bunch of mess after her father passed away due to a heart attack while he was going with his crew on his trip. Since then, Y/n never once came near the ocean anymore, it reminded her of her good time with her father which made her sad so much thinking about him. The girls in the village knew that as well, so the next day when Y/n was busy with her work, they took her clothes which are washed, dumped them into mud and threw them somewhere out the seashore.

             'What are those human girls doing?'

                      'I don't know, Floyd.'

   When Y/n returned, all of her clothes were gone and there were footprints on the ground which lead her to the sea. Y/n sighed, picking up her clothes, she didn't want to be treated like this at all, 'what is wrong with those girls' she thought. After finishing picking all of them, the sun was setting, Y/n also headed her way home but soon a mesmerizing sound got her attention. It came from behind a tall, big rock nearby. 

                'Keep going, Jade, there she comes'

   Y/n out of curiosity, follow the sound, the thing that look like a big rock she saw was actually a cave. It was getting dark so she was hesitate whether she should come in or not. The voice was getting even softer like it is calling out for her, inviting her to explore the source of its.

Y/n: Here I come for nothing...

    One step, two step... Y/n walked deeper into the cave, there's no light so she had to feel the surrounding with both hands and slowly checking the ground with her feet. Out of the blue , a wet hand-like object grabbed onto one of Y/n's feet, making her heart beats faster than ever, she was about to screamed but soon blocked it with her hands, she afraid that she would wake something up and it's not a wise idea.

?: So you came with nothing to light the way.

Y/n: What? Who are you? Show yourself!

    An oil lamp lantern was placed next to her, Y/n felt like there's another one inside this cave, or two. The hand which grabbed onto her leg before soon let go, Y/n sat down, trembled in fear. A hand lights up the lamp, making the cave brighter, enough for Y/n to see.

Floyd: Hiya!

Y/n: Wah, It's you! I remember you!

Floyd: Yep, you saved me.

   Another one that looked similar with the one Y/n was talking got out of the water.

Jade: You mean 'us'.

Floyd: Yeah, you saved us.

Y/n: Where's the octopus-like one?

Jade: Azul was busy with his work, granting people wishes and such.

Floyd: We went on our duty today~ Luckily, we saw those girls from earlier and-

Jade: Shhh, no more talking, Floyd.

Floyd: Oh, yeah.

Y/n: What's wrong?

Jade: Nothing, really. Let's talk about something else, ah, we didn't get to know your name last time.

Y/n: I'm Y/n L/n.

Floyd: I'm Floyd Leech, Jade Leech is the one and only brother of mine.

  Floyd proudly presents his brother.

Jade: Say, where's your father, why were you all alone this late?

Y/n: Well, apparently my father passed away, I live by myself.

Floyd: Hehhh? Poor Y/n-chan!

Jade: That's why.. Sorry for asking such question.

Y/n: It's okay, you didn't know.

        They talked for awhile but it's mostly Jade who talked to Y/n. Usually, Floyd will be the one to start the conversation and end it, he always be super talkative, but he was busy staring at Y/n today. Her eyes were sparkle like the stars in the sky, her voice was sweet, neither Floyd nor Jade could escape from that beauty. 

Y/n: It's pretty late, I guess I'll go home.

Jade: Wait!

Y/n: Yes?

Jade: If it's possible, would you like to come to our place?

Y/n: How? I'm a mere human.

Jade: That's the reason why I've always prepared this if we had the chance to meet again.

Floyd: You mean that thing you stole from Azul?

Jade: The special potion that helps you breathe underwater. There's no one waiting for you home, so why not coming with us?

     One thing Y/n doesn't know for sure, merfolks have that ability to entice whoever they want using a special skill they had while talking to that person. 

Y/n: I have nothing to lose.. So I'll be glad to.

   Y/n then drank the potion given by Jade, she were carried by Floyd all the way back to their home in the Coral Sea. Y/n never once thought that she could be able to come to an amazing place like this, she wanted to believe that this is nothing more than a dream, if it's true, she wouldn't want to wake up from this sweet dream. The boys lead her to an abandoned castle deep down the sea, surrounding by purple corals. The room which Y/n was led to was like a laboratory under the sea with potions, empty bottles, especially the big cauldron in the middle of the room. Something is boiling inside the cauldron, even this is underwater, there's a man facing his back towards them, he's putting something like ingredients inside, making it boils even more, bubbles popping, white smokes coming out, covered the floor.

Azul: So you guys are back, why are you taking so long? 

Jade: Special stuffs.

Azul: More than helping me finishing this new love potion?

Y/n: That's love potion?

   Azul was suprised to hear another voice besides one of the twins, he almost dropped the bottle he was holding down to the boiling pot.

Azul: Who said it was a good idea to bring someone else here?

  Azul angrily turned back just to see Y/n saying hi to him, making his face blushed red. He soon returned to his normal attitude, cleared his throat, fixed his glasses before taking a great look at Y/n.

Azul: You are that little girl from before.. I can't believe in my eyes, am I dreaming?

       Floyd then pulled Azul's cheeks, making it red and soon received a smack onto his head. 

Azul: I was just kidding, you kept messing with me, Floyd.

Jade: Meets Azul, Azul, meets Y/n.

Azul: Glad to see you again. Jade, you stole my potion again?

Jade: For good purposes, I guess.

Azul: Right, then make me a new one.

Y/n: I can help you with that, Jade.

Azul: No, you're staying with me. They've got to talk to you, it's my turn.

Floyd: Ahhhh.... But I want to be with Y/n-chan! Oh, I'll come up with a name for you. Hmmmmmmmmmm... Shrimpy-chan!

    Y/n laughed at the name she was given. It's been awhile since she could laugh however she wants, she was lonely. Azul, Jade and Floyd are here with her now, which makes her feels a lot more comfortable and less depress. She had no friends nor relatives, she was surrounded by enemies and hatred coming from the jealous girls, nothing more. Her life turned another page since the day her father left her alone at that village. She got no tears left to cry so she decided to be strong.

Azul: How long do you plan on staying here?

Y/n: I'm not sure, I've got nothing to do up there, really.

Azul: Then stay.

Y/n: I'm not sure about this, Azul. Wouldn't it affect my health staying down here for such long time?

Azul: Ah, Indeed. But I'll find a way.

   Y/n wasn't believe in Azul's words at first so she just gave him a smile as an agreement. The next few days with them were great. She got to see a sunken ship, Jade and Floyd said that normally they would find something interesting if they searched inside. Perhaps she could met some ghosts too, Jade said as he swam inside the cabin of the ship. Y/n wasn't into the idea of seeing ghosts, they sounds creepy, probably looks scary too, like a headless captain for example. She's more interested in treasures or something mysterious like a diary which wrote what actually happened to the ship, but it's been abandoned for so long so such thing definitely no longer exists, if yes, maybe it was all wet and was teared apart, swallowing by sea creatures or so.

    Another good activity recommended by Azul is to help him with his job as a sea witch. All Y/n has do to is combining ingredients written in the magic book of Azul into a boiling cauldron. Azul was smart to come up with new ideas everyday to add into his spell book, he's always full of new ideas, that was probably due to the diversity of requests he received and the customers' rich imaginations. They had such weird wishes, some are even illusory but Azul managed to grant them everything, with an appropriate  price of course. According to Azul, nothing is free. 

Y/n: You worked hard today, well done. 

Azul: This was nothing, but those mermaids keep coming which kinda bothered me, hearing such long stories of them.

Y/n: Sorry that I couldn't help much.

Azul: It's not your fault, I'm used to it, the Leech brothers do help too.

Y/n: I was wondering, I've stayed for a week already, haven't I?

Azul: Yes? Why did you ask?

Y/n: It's probably time to return on land. 

    Azul paused hearing those words, he realized that she was missing home. Indeed that he knew this day would come but a part of him doesn't want Y/n to leave. He faced her, holding her hands in his, staring at her eyes. 

Azul: Wouldn't it great staying with us like this?

Y/n: Indeed but..

Azul: I repeat, wouldn't it great staying with us?

   Azul's seashell pendant shine brightly, making Y/n staring at it. The light soon becomes dim, also does the look in her eyes, she fell onto Azul's shoulder as he ran his fingers through her hair, singing a lullaby.

             'Sleep, my love.  Forget about the humans on land.'

     Floyd and Jade rushed into the room just to see that scene, which makes Floyd kinda jealous, he almost woke Y/n up, fortunately Jade had stopped him before that happened. The trio whispered to each other, actually Floyd didn't get to talk much since he couldn't keep his voice down so the conversation was mainly between Jade and Azul.

Jade: She said that herself?

Azul: Yeah, I was shocked, a little.

Floyd: How about you two keep discussing while I take care of Shrimpy-chan?

    Azul sighed as he handed Y/n over to Floyd. Floyd was playful, he placed her head onto his shoulder while sitting on the sofa, decorating her hair with seashells, flowers, anything that he could reach with his hand, he put it on her smooth, soft hair.

Floyd: Guys, look!

Azul: Shh, don't wake her up.

Floyd: But she looks like a mermaid.

Azul: Yeah, right... Wait, what did you say?

Jade: Y/n looks like a mermaid.

Azul: Right, thanks for that idea, Floyd!

Floyd: And there he goes, staying up all days and nights inside that room.

     The next morning Y/n woke up, she was laying on Azul's bed with the twin staring at her continuously. They welcomed her to their "Special service" which means that they will look after her 24/7.

Jade: First of all, try this tea, My new recipe.

Floyd: Mushroom tea.

Jade: Yes, what's with that annoyance look?

Floyd: I hate it.

Y/n: Well I don't, It didn't hurt to try new drinks.

   Floyd and Jade weren't kidding when they said 24/7, they literally do as told. Y/n was like a baby and the Leech brothers are the babysitters. They did everything in her place, not letting her touch a single thing, Y/n felt glad that she could still walk on her own. Everthing was nice and all, how kind they were really makes Y/n happy, but she felt like something's off. She seemed to forgot something important. 'What could it be?' She wondered. Floyd was orbiting around Y/n, he poked on her forehead, her cheeks, her shoulders, her back, making she lost her focus.

Y/n: Floyd, stop.

Floyd: Why?

Y/n: It's not funny. I'm busy thinking.

Floyd: About what? - Floyd tilted his head.

Y/n: I couldn't remember, that's the important part.

Floyd: Then stop, or else you might have a headache. I tend not to listen to Azul and Jade whenever they talk about potions and chemicals.

Y/n: It must be nice being you.

Floyd: True, but I don't want anybody to be me. I am the one and only.

Y/n: The one and only?

       Y/n remembered hearing those words from Floyd before but where. Where could she heard it. Right, the cave, Y/n's eyes brighten as she remember what she was going to do. She's going to return and announce Azul that she was leaving.

Floyd: Uh oh, my bad~

   Jade has to act again, he started singing that sweet melody putting Y/n to sleep, Floyd was fast to held her before she fell down. 

Jade: Not a slight injury, nice catch.

Floyd: Shrimpy-chan, let us sing for you more okay?

   Jade continued singing that melody, hiding underneath that sweet sound is the hidden affirmations which worked really well if someone heard them, especially human. Y/n's memories was again, erased, and she could only think of staying beside the trio. Another thing that worried Y/n was that Azul hadn't left his room for three days. Even if Y/n asked for permission to go in, the answer she got would be 'No'. The twin said it's normal to see him like that if he's failing on making new potions and invited Y/n to a museum instead, the princess of the mermaids actually came for her performance, at least that's what they're told.
     Nothing less from a mermaid, the princess sang nicely, so does the performance of the mermaids fellow. There, Y/n realized that life under water actually more lively than she thought, there's many type of fishes. Y/n was into the beauty of the mermaids so much that she couldn't help but staring unconsciously at their bright-color hair, the long eyelashes and most importantly, the colorful fish scales on their fin.

Jade: It's time to go home!

Y/n: Aw...

Jade: You know that I'm weak before that pouty face of yours, Y/n.

Y/n: But I wanna stay a bit more.

Jade: What about Azul, he's all alone at the moment.

Y/n: Oh well... 

Floyd: Shrimpy-chan! Why do you look so down, did Jade do something?

Y/n shook her head- Of course not.

?: Wait, you over there!

   A voice reached out for Y/n, she turned back just to see a merman swimming towards her direction, he's holding a flower crown in his hand.

?:  I saw you among the audiences, you seem to enjoy our performance, this is a gift from me to you.

    The merman placed the flower crown on Y/n's head as she lowered her head a bit.

Jade&Floyd: Heh? Is that so?

Y/n: Why thank you, you guys did really amazing job back there.

?: Call me Claude, hope to see you again.

Floyd: Hai, hai, let's head home Shrimpy-chan.

      Floyd annoyingly pulls Y/n's arm while glaring at the male. 

      'You don't want to see us the second time, for we will exterminate you.'

Y/n: Floyd, why are you cupping my ears?

Floyd: Ahaha, nothing, nothing, Shrimpy-chan, what do you want for dinner?

Y/n: As long as you're the one who cooked it, I don't mind.

Floyd: Roger that.

      Azul for the first time in the past few days, got out of the room, looking extremely exhausted. He laid on the cold ground, not moving one bit. Jade had to take some kind of strange pills, put inside Azul's mouth, only then, he regained his consciousness.

Azul: Ugh...I'm starving.

Floyd: Dinner's ready.

   Azul motioned Jade to distract Y/n before their meal, the trio looked into each others' eyes, knowing this day has finally came. Y/n was about to walked inside when Jade stopped her at the doorstep. 

Jade: Azul just spilled a super toxic potion of him onto the floor, human couldn't endure its smell, let's take a walk while those two are taking care of it.

Y/n: O-okay.

  There ain't such accident, Azul is pouring his newest experiment into the dishes which they're going to eat. The new potion can turn a human into a mermaid, it won't have any side effects on the user. Since the trio are already merfolks, Y/n will be the only one to take the effect of the potion. When Jade and Y/n returned, the other two already sat in their place with a smiling face. Being friends with them for weeks, Y/n has no doubt but ate her food properly. About 15 minutes later, Y/n felt a bad stomachache, she excused herself and returned to her room.

Azul: It's working.

Jade: Seems like it.

Azul: Anyway, there's something I've noticed while doing experiment.

Floyd: And that is?

Azul: It's related to the imprinting, ever heard of the baby duck syndrome?

Jade: I've heard. 

Floyd: What's that?

Jade: Floyd, It's basically the tendency of newly hatched or other birds to imprint  on the first thing they see.

Floyd: More specifically?

Jade: If Y/n saw any of us first when she woke up from her sleep the next day after using this potion of Azul, she would be attached to that individual. Like a duck first saw its mother.

Floyd: Then I shall be the one!

Azul: What do you mean by that? I'm the one who created the potion, I have the right to be by her side!

Jade: Stop, we all get to be with her anyway, no meaningless fights from now on!

Floyd: Tch.. fine.

Jade: There's one last thing I've been wondering.

Azul: Go on.

Jade: Will Y/n have the memories before turning to mermaid or not?

Azul: I did do something about that, she won't remember anything about her life as a human, but she will remember about us as her friends.

Jade: Well done, Azul. You're a pure genius.

Azul: I know, Jade.

  That night, Jade and Floyd sneaked into Y/n's room to watch her while she's deep asleep to sing her their favorite lullaby. The symphony of the twin were mesmerizing, even more than when Jade sang it alone. 

      'Sleep my darling, for the next day to come, you shall be with us from the dusk til dawn.'
