In the depths of the ocean, where the sun's rays barely touched the surface, there lived a mermaid named Y/n. She was unlike the other mermaids, for a heavy burden weighed upon her heart. She was plagued by sadness and solitude, trapped in a never-ending cycle of melancholy.

"Have you done all the work I've told you to?" Y/n's mother yelled. Most mother loves their child dearly, that wasn't Y/n's case. As the family has 10 children, Y/n, as the 3rd child, has to do most of the work. She's more like a slave, not a family member. Her step-dad, who is even worse in terms of personality, abused her. He was found drunk most of the time, when he's not, he beat Y/n up like a way of entertaining himself. Her older siblings already left as they have their own family, leaving Y/n and the rest under her care.
Y/n thought of finding herself a lover once, nothing seems to work out between her and other merman she had met.
The ocean where Y/n lived was ruled by Azul Ashengrotto, the almighty seagod. Rumours spread that he has gone on land to learn more about the land creatures and their magic. Some said that he fell in love with a human, some said he was conquering the place in order to expand his territory. None was confirmed. 
Y/n was wandering all by herself, finding all the materials that her mother asked for when she caught a glimpse of an otherworldly aura of a strange male that drew her in.

?: Are you looking for something particularly?

Y/n: Uhm... not quite... 

?: Then what brought you here? Normally, only extraordinary customer can find this place.

Y/n doubted that she has anything special, probably by coincidence. Still, she took a good look at the objects that are on displayed, nothing interests her. The mysterious man offered Y/n something else as he saw the disappointed look on her face. He laid a crystal globe on the table.

?: Your hand, ma'am.

Y/n put her right hand onto the cold globe, it shines brightly but soon, the lights went off. 

?: I see... 

While Y/n was standing there, not knowing what the man is thinking of, another man walked into the store.

??: YO!

He looked almost the exact same with the man in front of Y/n, she was a little panic.

?: Oh.. It's my twin brother, Floyd Leech, I'm Jade Leech, call me Jade.

Y/n: Alright... But may I ask what did you see?

Jade: Love is on your way, that's all I have to say.

"Love?" Y/n thought. Although she has lost hope in such feeling, something inside her was expecting it to happen. Maybe she will find where she belongs and soon get away from the 'prison' she's been living in.

Y/n left, on her way back, she encountered a man. Though he was not just any man, it was Azul Ashengrotto. She didn't realize him as he's undercover, and his disguise looks rather like a beggar.

Y/n: You alright? 

Azul: Young lady, do I look 'not alright' to you?

Y/n: Very much...

Azul: Mind your own business.

Y/n: That was rude.

Y/n was about to swim away when she noticed a deep cut on his tentacle-like leg. 

Y/n: Are you a cecaelia?

Azul: What?

Y/n didn't reply, she swam over to check for the injury. Luckily, the herbs she bought earlier finally got to do their job. Azul, who seemed to be grumpy earlier, acted calmly while being treated by Y/n. She was skillful so it didn't hurt as much. Before Y/n left, he asked for her name. Y/n wasn't sure why, but there's no harm telling him her name. 

Jade: I believed you've met her.

Azul: Who?

Jade gave him that "you-know-who" look. Azul recognized what he meant right after and nodded.

Azul: And does that have anything to do with you?

Jade: Pretty much yes.

Azul changed back to his usual form.

Jade: Can you.. shrink a little, one of your tentacles just broke something in my shop. I can hear a loud noise coming from the back.

Azul: How much do you know of that mermaid?

Jade: Uh... Anything you want to know, I can tell you.

Azul shrunk to fit in the place. 

Azul: Good, tell me everything.

From that day onward, Azul would watch over Y/n through the crystal ball, his love growing with each passing moment. He would conjure up magnificent sunsets, painting the sky with fiery hues just to see a hint of a smile tug at the corners of her lips. Though she was too busy to care for the troublesome parents and siblings she got to notice those.  He would send schools of shimmering fish to dance around her, hoping their playfulness would alleviate some of her sorrow. But despite his efforts, Y/n remained lost in her own world, her eyes filled with despair.

Determined not to give up, Azul sought counsel from Jade, the wise friend living in the realm. Jade, with his vast knowledge, revealed a prophecy that spoke of a mermaid whose sadness could only be lifted by true love's kiss. Azul knew then that he had to reveal himself to Y/n and express his unwavering devotion.

One moonlit night, Azul mustered every ounce of courage and swam towards Y/n's favorite rock where she liked to contemplate the darkness. He shimmered in the water, illuminating his majestic form. Marina turned to see a dazzling seagod standing before her, his eyes gleaming with love.

Azul: Y/n..
His voice soothing like the gentle waves.
Azul: I have come to ask for your hand in marriage. 

 "Let me be the light to guide you out of the darkness, to fill your days with joy and love."

Y/n, surprised and uncertain, looked into Azul's grey eyes. His words resonated with a truth she had longed to hear. Slowly, she reached out a hand, her delicate fingers brushing against his."You are a seagod.."she whispered, her voice laden with vulnerability. "Why do you care for a broken mermaid like me?"

Azul smiled, taking her hand in his. "Your darkness only magnifies your beauty, Marina. And if you let me, I'll carry the weight of your sorrow, showing you the wonders that exist above and below the surface."

Y/n: I... I can't. I'm sorry. 

Azul tighten the hand he was holding.

Azul: Why? 

Y/n: I appreciated your feelings, your highness.. I don't think I'm the one you're looking for to spend the rest of your life with. Maybe... maybe you should just find someone else.

Y/n snatched her hand back and jumped into the deep water.

 The sea once was in serenity now turned gloomy. The ocean's creature were aware that something terrible is heading their way. 

Floyd: Uhm.. Jade?

Jade: It's time.

Floyd: Hunting? Feasting? Which one?

Jade: Wait for his order, don't act on your own.

Legends spoke of fishermen who had seemingly angered the seagod, only to have their boats ripped apart by furious gusts of wind or swallowed by monstrous waves. No one believed in such tales anymore, dismissing them as mere superstition, until this day.

Jade: So you're back.

Azul picked one of the potions on the shelf using his tentacle and got into a cave.

Floyd: He's up to something~

It took Azul half a day to get out of the cave. He gave Jade the unknown potion and left the twin to see Y/n. 

Azul: We meet again, Y/n.

Y/n, who was in pure shock, bowing before the king of the sea in reluctant. While Azul got Y/n's attention, the Leech brothers were doing their given task, to kill Y/n's family. They're nothing more than her burden, Azul thought of them that way. He has a feeling they are one of the main reasons why she turned him down. The potion which was poured onto the trident works really well, not sure what Azul did to create it, but it satisfied Floyd's intention of killing these merfolk. As their life force drained away, Floyd's wicked grin grew wider.  

Jade: Quit messing around, Floyd.

Floyd: This is so exciting, Jade. Can you blame me?

Floyd and Jade finished their mission, so they went out to gather round Azul.

Y/n: What is this all about?

Before Y/n could get back to her family, Azul blocked her away.

Azul: I have fulfilled your wish, Y/n dear. Nothing can hold you back now, so will you marry me?

Y/n: What are you talking about?

Y/n pushed him aside, rushed inside, only to find the unimaginable horror before her eyes. Her screams echoed through the halls. But the moment her neighbors arrived, she was no longer there, only the corpses remained. Azul soon teleported them both to the human world, while the eels returned to their place. Even in the human world, he is worshiped and feared by many. They built a shrine just for him, the middle of the hall laid his statue. 

Azul, now in his human form and so is Y/n, held her hand and pulled her outside. The civilian noticed them immediately and kneeled before them. 

Azul: From now on, this is your home.

Y/n don't know what to say. She wanted to run away, but couldn't, Azul wouldn't let go of her hand. She plucked up her courage to tell Azul that she wanted to live her own life.

Azul: No, Y/n, you don't seem to understand. I gave you a new life.

He held her hand just to show her something she didn't notice, a ring.  In exchange for her human form, Azul bestowed upon Marina a luminous pearl ring that would enable her to transform her tail into legs.

Azul: You can't return to the sea nor run away from me as these people will hunt you down, this is my last warning. 

Now that Y/n is his, he can do whatever he wants to the girl. Some of the local girls approached Y/n, their eyes were dull as if they are in a spell. They dragged Y/n to a luxurious bathroom. She was instantly greeted by the mesmerizing sight of sparkling golden fixtures and dazzling crystal accents. The walls were adorned with intricate patterns of marble, giving a sense of elegance and grandeur. The floor tiles were made of the finest marble, smooth and cool to the touch. In the center of the bathroom stood a lavish Jacuzzi, adorned with exquisite mosaic tiles and surrounded by cascading waterfalls. The Jacuzzi was equipped with cutting-edge technology that adjusted the water temperature to the perfect degree with just a touch of a button. The bathwater was infused with fragrant oils and adorned with rose petals, creating a heavenly aroma that filled the air.

Y/n: I can take care of myself!

They didn't respond and only left when they're done with bathing Y/n. As Y/n was not used to walking on both feet, she almost tripped and fell a few times. Another group of human girls, dressed in their maid outfits, helped Y/n to dress up.

Y/n stepped into the wedding dress as she couldn't escape from the maids, and they carefully adjusted the lace and fastened the buttons. The dress fit her like a glove and accentuated her every curve. The intricate designs in the lace seemed to come alive as they graced her figure, captivating all who laid eyes upon her. There was no proper wedding ceremony, just Azul and Y/n exchanged vows, no crowd to witness. It wouldn't make any difference if there were people as they are all under Azul's spell, Y/n assumed. Azul is the god himself, he needs no one to witness nor give blessing. Y/n was forced to drink some sort of weird tasting wine, but she felt nothing so far. And so, the night falls.

Azul: Are you just going to sit there and do nothing?

Y/n was lost in her thoughts. A lot happened today, he didn't have the right to say that to Y/n. Yet, Y/n was afraid she will piss him off so she said nothing. 

Azul: Y/n, come here.

Strange how Y/n's body started to act on its own. She now realized that it has something to do with the wine earlier. Y/n hates Azul and the way he does everything without her consent. Y/n used to imagine of a life with her true love, he may not be a wealthy man but she will love him with all of her heart, yet Azul took her future away and gave her this unwanted marriage. 

Azul: You'll need to do more than this to please me, Y/n, do it faster.

Y/n tried to close her eyes, but Azul commanded her not to do so. Every time she tried to go against his command, he'll bite onto her neck, her shoulder, everywhere else he could think of. Y/n then gave up and do whatever he asked her to. She noticed that it may be painful at first, but she kind of enjoy the pain later on. She persuaded herself that it was the wine or whatever he gave her.

Azul: Does it feel good?

Y/n shamelessly nods.

Azul: You've been moving by yourself the whole time, you know that?

Y/n didn't reply, she buried her head against Azul's shoulder, letting out slight moans. Y/n's legs now wrapped around his hip, she gave herself up not so long ago, her inside was filled with his cum.

Azul: There's no time for rest, Y/n. Take this as your punishment and bear my children.
