205th Isle

One of my favorite comments on the last chapter was:

Percylover11 - I love Olivia, she has.... spunk. I love her, for testing the gods, I would bite at the opportunity to do something like that, especially after what they did. Keep on writing! <3

Thank you all for the uplifting comments, it means a lot that you like Olive, especially after all the  comments I have been receiving against her character... and my story....  :) So.. Yeah, Thank you they really lift my spirits :)

Song for this Chapter: Team - Lorde

Ch. 3 - 205th Isle:

Thalia Grace, huh? The name sounded familiar, and the more I thought about it - I had a faint feeling Annabeth had told me a story about her once upon a time, or at least mentioned her name. However, I knew for a fact that I did not know her story.

Gnawing my bottom lip, I paced around the Library of Olympus - my palace had been completed a week go, but I had yet to step one foot inside the threshold. All of Olympus was in a state of after-shock. Word of Zeus's newly found daughter had spread like wildfire and they were trying to contain the mixed emotions sent out from the minor gods and creatures.

Mainly, I felt worried for the girl - even though I didn't know a thing about her. From what I was aware of, Zeus could be the very last parent I'd wish to have, plus she probably had Hera on her back, the she-devil herself. Hera absolutely hated children Zeus spawned with mortals.

Meanwhile all while all the commotion was being contained, I had been in the Library, which I had accidentally stumbled upon. It was a marvelous place, larger than any library I had ever been in, that was a sure thing.

Gnosis was the librarian, a worker for my father, Apollo. The first time I had walked into the library, he'd jumped up from the big desk with shock and gave me a deep bow, nose scraping the marble flooring. "M'lady," He'd said. "I'm glad to see you have found your way into one of your father's houses."

I hadn't known at the time that Apollo was also the god of books. But, it made immediate sense. Grinning, I asked him about the books. He nodded quickly and directed me towards the 205th isle, "That's where you'll find what you are looking for".

Nodding at him, I'd walked down the rows and rows of ancient looking books. The Library looked to be as a museum full of ancient manuscripts and new documents, it was ever growing. Each time I came in which was everyday, there was a new section added on.

The 205th isle, however, was something that stopped me in my tracks. It looked desolate and in need of a deep cleaning. Cobwebs littered the bookshelves, showing just how under used this section was. It almost seemed as if it was a sneer at the collectors of the books.

The books, were what I'd come up with on a strange whim. These rows and rows of thick, sturdy manuscripts were filled with the tales of every honorable demi - god. Well, any demi god that had made a small impact against, or towards, the Olympians way of life.

Heaving a sigh, I fingered through the dusty novels, all the way down to the T's. My eyes racked the shelves, Theseus, Thomas F., but as I rescanned the shelves, no Thalia. Something about the name made me feel as if she had to be here somewhere.

Frowning, I back tracked and walked towards the G section, possibly finding her by the last name. My eyes trailed slowly down the list of forgotten names, dust had collected thickly along the once beautifully carved bookshelves.

        Grace, Jason.

I almost passed over it, and I would have ignored it, if it wasn't for the line of cleared dust next to his name. Almost as if someone had pulled a book out from the space between Jason's book and George Washington's.

Raising a brow, I pulled Jason Grace's small book from the shelf and gave it a small frown. Jason, huh? That seemed a little strange to have Jason, and not Thalia. Clinging the book closer to me, I looked down the other isles, making sure no one else was paying any mind.

Then, I opened the book, letting the pages open themselves to the first one, the title page:

        Jason Grace. Son of Jupiter.

Jupiter? The Roman god - counter part of Zeus? Cocking my head to the side, I knew this didn't belong here. Something was off - someone had taken Thalia's book and replaced it with Jason's, a Roman demi god.

Suddenly, as I lifted the book up higher to get a better view, half of the small novel fell to the ground, almost as if it had ripped in half. I panicked a little and bent down to grabbed the missing pages.

However, instead of multiple different pages of Jason's book, I was met with a shiny gold engraved book with ruby red Calligraphy on the front cover stating boldly: Thalia Grace.

Grinning, I snatched the heavy book from the floor and placed the novel about Grace, Jason back on the shelf. Carefully, I lifted the cover and watched the words unfold on the page like an intricate tale. The tale of Thalia Grace.

As I quickly kept turning the pages through the girl's life, I realized the child had had a rough life, after her brother had been kidnapped at the age of two, she'd run off. Her brother was Jason Grace, the book  that I'd picked up earlier.

Skimming through the story many names popped up on the pages that I recognized. Annabeth, Grover, Luke. She indeed was the girl that was with Annabeth when she ran for camp. The pages almost painted the scene before me as I read over the sacrifice the small girl had made to protect her friends.

She'd thrown down her own life. I could practically see her laying, dying on the cold grass, staring up at the sky and wondering if her friends had made it out alive. I wondered for a brief moment if she'd cried, knowing she was going to die.

Ever since I had died, I was fascinated with the thought of it. When I finally did met the girl, I would have to ask her about it. The tale continued on to say how she was transformed into a tree by her Father and how she'd been the creation of the barrier.

Then, it told of how her tree was poisoned, causing a brave girl named Clarisse to go out searching for it, along with the help of Percy Jackson and Annabeth Chase. It only briefly mentioned them, but I suddenly realized how much time had passed between the last time I'd seen the two of them.

Over a year. It had been over a year of me playing nice and just being stranded up here. Over a year, and the time kept ticking. Any day now. Any day and I'd be out, one way or another.

The Golden Fleece, it mentioned, had healed the tree and Camp Half-Blood causing Thalia's body to be ejected from the tree in full recovery from her injuries many years before. Again, it mentioned Annabeth and Percy, it told tales of training and healing her.

Apparently, it had been a little under a month since Thalia had been resurrected, and she was now being trained up by her old friend Annabeth to fight like a warrior. Up here, the news was still fairly recent. Some gods were throwing parties and celebrating, thinking this was a sign of good new for Mount Olympus, while the other half were angry and pointing fingers, saying she needed to be dealt with and claiming she was too dangerous.

Closing the book, I smirked. Even if she was dangerous. I liked her. She had spunk, as far as I read and she didn't seem to take crap from people.

I sighed and placed the book back down on the shelf, sliding it next to her brother's book with a small smile on my face. Slowly, I eyed down the rows of books, suddenly very curious to see if my mother had a book here. Or if I and Penny did.

I walked down the isle towards the section labeled 'S' and immediately, my eyes zeroed in on her name. Scarlett Smith, Daughter of Ares. The book was thicker than Thalia's had been, and the cover was made of deep red colored leather.

My heart pounded in my chest as I picked the dusty book from the shelf and weighed it in my hands, gingerly flipping open the book. It was her. Running a shaky hand through my hair, I attempted to turn the page when a low cough interrupted me, making me jump and drop the book to the floor from shock.

"I see you are brushing up on some useless history." Ares snarled, sunglasses pointed towards the book next to me feet, then he gave me a twisted grin. "I always liked that one, you know." He chuckled and picked the book off the ground, wiping the dust off the cover and pulling his glasses off to give it a small, emotionless look over.

"Yep, she went out in style that one. Made her old man proud." He scowled and muttered something fowl under his breath. "Not like my recent children." He flipped the book over and gave one last snort, tossing into my hands and glaring at me with his flame colored eyes. "Get your ass out of here girl. If Zeus found out about this, you'd lose the tiny little amount of trust you have gained."

I gave him a smart glare, but reluctantly slid the book back into it's slot, making my way out of the 205th isle without another word towards Ares. I tried my best to be out of his way, everything about him made me want to punch something, and that was the very last thing I needed right now. A fight with Ares.

As I made my way out of the giant Library, I made sure to say goodbye to Gnosis, he smiled in return and returned back to his ordering of books, marking them up.

Patiently leaning against a marble pillar near the door was a seventeen year old version of Artemis. "Mother." I nodded in a semi-formal sort of bow to which she grinned and gripped my shoulder lovingly.

"Olivia! My daughter, you seem to be adjusting too well here." She chuckled, eyes twinkling with a seemingly false nature. She was acting as if the news of Thalia Grace was not a huge ordeal. "Unfortunately, the Hunt has been cancelled for a month or so, but that means you can now come along. You have had time to adjust - and I think Zeus would agree to let you out on the Hunt."

Raising a brow, I gave my mother a concerned look. "Are you sure that you would even want me going? I'm not exactly Hunter material... if Zeus would even let me."

Artemis rolled her eyes and walked with me. "Zeus has more on his plate now then ever, if I offered to take you out, he would jump at the chance, gives him one less thing to worry about." I frowned a little, happy at the chance of leaving, but slightly wondering if I was only leaving this prison to be stuck in another.

Artemis quickly changed the subject and walked towards the direction of the Lake. "So, show me your house?"

Percy's PoV:

"Would you stop reading that damned letter and get back to work, Seaweed Brain!" Thalia yelled from across the training field as my eyes scanned over Olive's letter, I was trying to look for some clue this time, not only sentimental value.

Annabeth's grey eyes watched me with a small level of pity and Thalia turned to her with her hands firmly on her hips. Her 'punk' attitude was enough to make any one cower, not to mention the fact that she was very good with a spear.

"So, what's his deal?" Thalia asked Anna while I pretended not to hear them, cramming the letter back into my pocket. With a heavy sigh, Annabeth gave Thalia a small smile and shook her head.

    "Just a girl named Olivia."

Thalia's brows raised at this and she cocked her head to the side, I could feel her eyes boring into the side of my head, but I tried to remain focused on the dummies a hundred feet away. "So... what happened?"

I clutched the throwing knife tightly, then slung it over my shoulder, barely landing a hit on the dummy's thigh. Annabeth sighed and leaned close to Thalia, speaking softer.

        "She died."

~~~~~ Sorry, it was only a filler - but! Next Chap just may have some POLIVE or is it Perlive? Idk... I'll leave that to you guys to figure out xD
