Ch.7 | A Murderer Hunting State Alchemists?

Allison's View

A chimera with long brown hair was next to Tucker. It stared into my eyes.

What was was horrifying about the chimera, was it looked a little bit too much like Nina... The chocolate brown hair that she had, it was on the chimera.

Tucker smiled proudly, "A chimera at finally understands human speech. " Tucker stated.

Impossible, he couldn't have done that unless...

"Here let me show you." He offered, bending down to the chimera.

What he had done in order to accomplish this hit me in the face like a brick. He couldn't have done what I think he did, could he? No, he couldn't have done that to...to, no-! Just no!

"Listen to me, that person over there is Edward and that girl is Rosie." Tucker told the chimera.

"Th-That person E-Edward, that g-girl Rosie.." The chimera spoke.

My eyes widened, he did it... He actually made a chimera that could speak and understand human speech, impossible.... Tucker grinned and pet the thing.

"Yes, very good, well done!" He praised.

Ed bent down, "That's amazing, it can actually talk!" Ed said in awe.

I couldn't see very well, but I knew for a fact that I was crying.

Tucker chuckled, "Yes, and now I won't have to worry about losing my certification!" Tucker grinned happily.

He chimera turned to me and Ed, "That person, Edward. That person Edward. That person Edward." It grinned. "Big brother Ed, big sister Rosie..."

Big sister Rosie... That was what Nina called me...her big sister...

"Mr. Tucker, when exactly was it when you forts got your state certification?' Ed asked, suspiciously.

"Let's see, it was two years ago." Tucker started.

"When did your wife leave you?" Ed asked.

He frowned, "That was two years ago too." Tucker said.

Ed, you figured it out didn't you...

"I just have one more question for you." Ed said, raising his voice. He started to show that he knew what had really went down. "Nina and Alexander, where are they?!"

Alphonse gasped a snarl made it's way to my face. The tears in my eyes trailing their way down my face. I knew it! He used Nina and Alexander to make a damn chimera! Then that means that the chimera from two years ago had to be his wife, the one who supposedly left him! Tucker, you bastard!

"You lying bastard, you used them to make a chimera!" I snarled out.

"Damn brats, figuring it out so quickly!" Tucker spat at us, his eyes wide open filled with insanity.

I grabbed Tucker's neck, slamming him against the wall. Tucker coughed as he tried to get ahold of my hands around his neck.

"Rose!"

Ed walked up behind me, anger evident all over his face.

"You're damn right we figure it out, you did it again!" Ed yelled. "Two years ago, you used your wife!"

I choked Tucker harder, "This time, you used my little sister Nina and her dog, Alexander to transmute a damn talking chimera!" I screamed in pure rage.

"You can only do so much with animals after all! It's much easier when you start with a human, isn't it!" Ed yelled, punching Tucker across the face.

Tucker smiled, "I don't see what your so upset about, this is how we progress! Human sacrifice is a step for us, I would think a boy like you would understand." Tucker said.

"Shut up! Do you really think you can get away with this! Messing with someone's life like this, your own daughter!" Ed yelled.

"Someone's life you say?" Tucker laughed. "You'd three would know all about that, wouldn't you?! Look at yourself Fullmetal alchemist, Blood alchemist! Your legs, your arms! Your brother! Those things are results by messing around with somebody else's life, aren't they!" Tucker yelled.

My legs...my arms...all gone...for a reason I regret, I tried bringing back something from the dead. A task that cannot be accomplished, a dream.

Ed punched him across the face, knocking his glasses off his face. "were the same, your the same as I am!" Tucker grinned.

"Shut up!" I yelled, kneeing his stomach. "We're nothing alike!"

He coughed up blood, it landed in my clothes. "Oh, but we are! The opportunity was right in front of us, and we took it! Even if it was against the rules!" Tucker laughed.

I punched Tucker upside the head, his blood spattering on my face, I hit him, again, "I'm nothing like you!" Again. "You bastard!" Again. "An alchemist doesn't do that!" Again. "Not to his daughter!" And again. "Were not the same you lying piece of sh-!" I yelled about to once him once more, but Alphonse grabbed my arm.

"Rose, stop! If you keep it up, you'll kill him!" Alphonse said.

"Rosie, don't hurt daddy. Don't hurt daddy."

I turned to Nina, she was staring up at me and her dad.

"Don't hurt daddy..."

I dropped Tucker to the ground, right as my knees gave out on me.

Tucker turned to me with a wicked smile. "Oh, A-Allison... We a-are the s-same n-no matter w-what you say.." Tucker said.

I am not, that monster killed his daughter, he used her! Why would I ever do such a thing, yet, he was right at the same time... I messed with someone's life, just not as bad as he did. I sobbed into my hands, Nina, Nina why!! My little sister Nina, she was all I had left to care for, to cherish! The light I had outside my office, Nina! I screamed and screamed. I wanted Nina back with me, alive, in her body. So she could laugh again, smile, talk.. But, I know that it's impossible, I already learned my lesson the first time. I'm sorry Nina, if only I stayed here with you... You wouldn't be in that damned body, you would be in your own body, the one I love.

"Nina, forgive me." I whispered, as I ran to my apartment, the rain pounding against my back.

I burst through the door and collapsed on my bed in tears. I felt broken; lost, all without Nina.

I laughed humorlessly, "Why kind of big sister can't even protect their little sister?" I mumbled to myself, before giving in to exhaustion.

Forgive me...

My little sister...

I couldn't protect you...

I woke up to knocking on my door. Lifting my body up, I went to the door and opened it.

"What do you want, Roy." I asked my voice sounding dead.

Roy frowned, "I just wanted to check up on you, the Elric brothers told me you ran away after you broke down. Are you alright? That was a hell of a thing to seem especially for you, you were particularly close to the girl." Roy said, sounding concerned for me.

I put on a smile, a fake one that is. "Of course I'm fine, it just hurt me a little." It killed me... "Like you said, I was close to her. " I thought of her like a sister. "Don't worry, I'll be fine." I lied.

Turning around I went to my bed, hiding the picture of Nina on top of my shoulders. A month before the incident.

"Come in if you wish to, Roy." I said.

He didn't move an inch when I said that.

I glanced at him, "Are you going to or not?" I said.

Roy sighed as he walked in, shutting the door behind him.

"Rose, I know you're not okay. Stop lying to me. I can read you like an open book, for the past years I haven't been slacking around." Roy stated.

"I'm not lying, Roy-." I grunted as Roy slammed me against the wall hard, his hands wrapped tightly around my wrists which were above my head.

"You're lying to me, stop lying Allison! Damn it, why can't you understand that I care for you, I'm worried about you!" Roy snapped, his eyes hard but soft at the same time.

Roy... Gulping in slight fear, I looked deep in Roy's eyes.

"I-I know you care Roy, were friends after all. I'm sorry I lied to you, I'm sorry I made you worried.. I didn't mean to..." I whispered, my voice soft and quiet.

His grip tightened, I winced. "Why don't you talk to me then, or even Hughes and Riza? Were your family, right? We're here for you and always will be. I'm here for you, get that in your head. It's already hard enough for us." Roy hissed.

I whimpered when he squeezed much harder than before. "Roy, you're h-hurting me..." I whimpered.

He let go, shocked at what he'd done.

"I'm sorry Allison, I didn't mean to hurt you." Roy said.

Sighing, I rubbed the forming bruises on my wrists. That was a good grip there, I must've made him pretty damn worried to make him injure me.

"Stop, it's my fault. I haven't been honest nor have I told you anything, I should be apologizing, not you." I whispered, gazing at the bruises.

Rose followed my gaze, his eye widened. He took ahold of my wrists, softly caressing the red marks he left me.

"God, I did this? I'm sorry. I couldn't control myself and I hurt you.." Roy mumbled.

I took my hands back, "It's fine.."

He sighed, and pushed his body against my small form. Then he placed his hands on my waist, leaned in and kissed my forehead. I blushed, a weird butterfly feeling growing in the out of my stomach. My hand unconsciously went to my stomach. What was that feeling?

"I love you Allison, be careful next time." Roy whispered in my hair.

I blushed even harder, "I l-love you too Roy, friends forever. Right?" I smiled, unknown to my growing feelings to him. For some reason I had trouble saying I love you. Even if I have said it many times before, but this time it was hard. I couldn't say it without that feeling....

"Yeah, friends forever." He chuckled quietly. "Now, let's head the Tucker's household. I have some rather, disturbing news to discuss with you, or more like, show you. You'd figure it out sooner or later anyways."

"Wait Roy, let me change into my military uniform. I'll be out real quick." I said.

"Okay, hurry." He said.

I ran to the bathroom with my uniform in hand. I took a quick shower then put on the uniform. I opened the bathroom door, accidentally hitting Roy.

"Oops." I muttered sheepishly.

Roy groaned, and grabbed ahold

of my hand, dragging me out the door.

"R-Roy!"

_______________

Cold, hard, angry, that's what my eyes looked like right now. Yesterday I lost control over my emotions, something I haven't done in awhile. A dog of the military is what I am, we don't let out feelings get in our way, something I must control from now on. But, I let a little bit of my shock show at the moment. Nina/Alexander and Tucker's body were surrounded in a huge pool of blood, most of the blood came from there head. Where we think they were killed from. It was like someone blew the inside of there head up.

"Damn it, he's always one step ahead of us." Hughes cursed, kneeling down by the now covered bodies.

"We better catch up to him quickly with the way things are going." Armstrong stated.

"You sound as though you were expecting this. Fill me in." Roy ordered.

"Why don't we go somewhere more private, Roy." Hughes suggested.

________________

"Scar, because of his face..." Roy mumbled.

Why would this man, that goes by 'scar', be out killing people who are in the state military? What's his purpose, his goal?

"Yeah, we really don't know anything else about him, so that's what we're calling him." Hughes said.

"Our target is both unidentified and delusive, all we know is that he has a very long car on his forehead." Armstrong said.

"Yes, I've heard stories about this guy. That's who we're going after." Roy said.

I looked over at Armstrong, "hasn't he killed over 5 of our military soldiers already?" I asked.

"Yes. He's killed over 5 of our men, all being state alchemists. Body count nation wide is already up to ten." Armstrong said.

"5 days ago he took down old man Grand." Hughes said.

"The brigadier general?!" Roy and I shouted in shock.

This man has to be pretty skilled to take down one of the best alchemist we have- had...

"But- he's a master in weapons transmutation!" Roy exclaimed.

"This just shows you how dangerous this guy is." Hughes said. "You should increase your escort and lay low for awhile. Nobody will blame you. Please, I'm asking you this as a friend. You, Tucker, and Allison are the only state alchemists of note in this area, right?"

My eyes went wide, realization hit me, Fullmetal was in the area with this man on the loose!

"Oh no!" Roy gasped.

Edward, Alphonse! I ran to a window and jumped out if it, Hughes and Roy called after me. Ignoring them is what I had to do, Ed and Al were in danger and there was this voice that told me to save them for they were something very important to me! An explosion rang out, then more came. Am I to late?! Damn! I ran faster, I could hear yelling now.

"Brother!!"

Alphonse!

"Stop! Don't touch him! No! No, you can't..! Stop it!" Alphonse yelled.

Alphonse's body was destroyed, and... There was nothing in him.... Ed's arm was destroyed on the ground, a man was standing over him. Scar. Scar's arm was hovering over Ed's face, and Ed didn't bother to move. Alphonse, Edward, you have a lot of explaining to do after I save you. I bit my finger then clapped my hands together. The blood poured out my finger, shaping into the form a a sword. Wincing at the small pain, I took ahold of the sword. Jumping in the air, I kicked scar away from Ed, and brought my sword down on scars arms. Scar kicked me away, making me roll in the ground.

"Rose!"

"Another state alchemist. You are the Blood alchemist, correct?" Scar said.

I stood up, glaring at scar. "Yes, I'm the Blood alchemist. Why do you need to know!" I shouted.

"Allison Elric, the Blood alchemist. I will give you a moment to pray to god, for your life will be ended here." Scar said, making his way to me.

Allison...Elric..? Roy said I didn't have a last name.... Shaking my head all those thoughts were pushed to the back of my mind, I pointed the tip of the blade at him.

"I have no god to pray to, I was never the type for regions and such. Oh, and I doubt today is my last day, Scar." I said.

Scar ran up to me, his hand clenched ready to hit me. I dodged, and swung my sword at him. He dodged as well.

"Your name fits you, you use your own blood to create weapons of your choosing." Scar noted

"Well aren't you smart." I mused sarcastically.

I tried punching him with my right arm. He easily got ahold of it, his arm squeezed my arm, blue sparks shot around.

"Say goodbye to your arm." Scar said.

What?! The blue sparks got brighter, cracking noises came from my arm.

"Damn!" I kicked his chest, pulling my arm out his grip.

The sleeve of my military uniform burned off, revealing my auto mail arm.

"You have auto mail too, I see." Scar said, examining my arm. "I can't do any damage with auto mail on you, it looks like I'll have to destroy it."

"I can't let you do that." I said.

I jumped in the air and stuck my hands out, little needles of blood shot at Scar. Scar ran around dodging all the needles, Scar went up to a building. The building exploded, debris flew everywhere. Automatically my arms covered my face, once it cleared I removed my hands. To come face to face with Scar. His hand flew around my neck. I coughed and sputtered for air.

"I have you now, Blood alchemist. You have a moment to pray." Scar said.

"F-Fine..." I mumbled, secretly trying to clap my hands together.

A gunshot rang out.

"That's enough! You won't be killing anybody else today, Scar. I'm taking you into custody, where you will answer for the murders of at least ten state alchemists." Roy shouted.

Still holding on to me, Scar turned around. "Alchemists alter things from their natural form, perverting them from something else, something grotesque... They profane god, the true creator of all things. As an agent of god, I am here to hand down his judgment. If you interfere, I will eliminate you as well." Scar said.

R-Roy...he-help me...

Roy's eyes widened at the sight of me, he replaced his shock with a smirk. "Oh, is that right?" Roy said, handing his gun to Riza. "You guys stay here."

"Colonel Mustang, sir!" Riza shouted.

"Colonel Mustang...so this is the Flame alchemist. Volunteering yourself to receive judgment. It is truly an auspicious day!" Scar yelled, dropping me to the ground.

I panted, nausea was overwhelming my body. My right arm was now useless, Scar did something to it and now it wouldn't even move. At least he didn't destroy it.

He looked down at me. "I will get to you soon." He said then ran at Roy.

"R-Roy.." I whispered, my voice hoarse.

"So you know who I am and you still want to challenge me? Bad decision." Roy said cockily.

"Y-You..i-idiot.." I whispered.

Fire and rain don't mix... Roy tried burning Scar only to realize he couldn't, Riza tripped Roy saving him from Scar. Riza shot at Scar multiple times, he dodged and hid behind a pillar.

"Hey, Hawkeye, what the hell did you do that for?!" Roy shouted.

"You know as well as I do, you're useless in rainy days. Please stay back!" Riza said.

Roy hung his head. "Oh yeah, I forgot.."

"It's fortunate you can't create your blasphemous flames, state alchemist. For I will destroy all who interfere with my mission, right here and now!" Scar yelled.

"I'd like to see you try it!" Armstrong yelled, smashing his fist into the ground, narrowly missing Scar.

"A newcomer.." Scar stated.

"You have to be quick to avoid my fist. Not bad, not bad at all." Armstrong said, "you said you were going to destroy us all. In that case, why don't you start by defeating me! We'll we how you fare against the state alchemist, Alex Louis Armstrong!"

Roy ran up to me. Gasping I reached out for him, "Roy...." I whispered.

Roy lifted my body up bridal style, them ran over to Edward and the others.

"You all right?" Roy asked concerned.

"Yeah, just a little trouble breathing and I can't move my right arm anymore.." I said.

Roy sighed. "We'll fix it later."

Alright strong said something only alchemist would understand. Roy gasped, "So this killer is an alchemist, too?" Roy said.

"That's it!" Ed exclaimed. "The stages with the transmutation process are construction, deconstruction, and reconstruction. This guy must stop at the deconstruction phase."

"But if Scar is an alchemist, doesn't that mean he's strayed from whatever his 'ways of god' are, too?" I said.

"And what would be his reasons targeting alchemists with state certification?" Roy asked.

Who knows...... Armstrong and Scar continued to fight, until Scar was cornered. Riza shot at him, one bullet got him. His glasses fell to the ground, shattering on impact.

"You get him?" Roy asked.

"No. He's too fast. I only grazed him with one shot." Riza said.

Red eyes and brown skin! He's-!

"Of course! He's an Ishvalan!" Roy stated. "You might as well give up, Scar. You're not getting away.

Scar placed his hands on the ground, the ground blew up. The debris scattered around, Roy's grip tightened. I hid my face in his chest.

"Damn, the bastards in the sewers!" Havoc cursed

"Stay put." Roy ordered.

"Sure, you don't have to tell me twice." Havoc said.

"Sorry Armstrong, but thank you for buying us enough time to surround him." Roy apologized.

Armstrong shook his head. "I was hardly buying time. It was all I could do to keep myself from getting killed."

Hughes appeared suddenly. "Oh! Is it over now?" He asked.

"Lt. Colonel Hughes, where have you been this whole time?" Armstrong asked ticked off.

"I thought it was better to lay low." Hughes shrugged.

"You didn't think about maybe backing us up?!" Roy shouted.

"A person like me shouldn't get dragged into a freak show with you pack of pseudo humans! It's bad for my health!" Hughes shouted back, then turned to the soldiers. "Don't just stand there! We've got things to do! Deploy troops!"

"Alphonse!" Ed shouted, running to his brother.

Alphonse punched Ed, surprising all of us.

"Why didn't you run when I told you to! What kind of idiot are you?" He shouted.

"No way! I not just gonna run away and leave you behind!" Ed shouted.

"Which is exactly why you're an idiot!" Alphonse shouted, punching Ed again.

"Why do you keep punching me like that?" Ed asked, "If I'd run away, you could've been killed you know that?!"

"And maybe I wouldn't have been! making the decision to die is something only an idiot does!" Alphonse shouted.

"Hey, easy on the idiot stuff! Im still your older brother, got it?!"

"I'll say it all I want to! Survival is the only way, Ed! Love on, learn more about alchemy. You could find a way to get our bodies back and help people like Nina! You can't do that by dying! I won't allow you to choose the possibility of losing hope and having a meaningless death!"

I jumped out of Roy's arms and walked over to Ed. I hit Ed's head lightly, he held his head and glared at me. His eyes widened when he saw that I was crying.

"You idiot!" I shouted throwing my arm and limp arm around him. "Listen to your brother, don't die.. You're scared me to death!"

"Rose.." Ed whispered.

Smiling sadly, I took off my military jacket and wrapped it around Ed.

________________

"Well Ed, Alphonse, Rose. What are you three going to do now?" Hughes asked.

"Yeah, what are we doing Ed?" I asked.

"Were going to keep moving..we can't just sit around, not as long as we're still alive." Ed smiled.

"Brother..." Alphonse muttered.

"Before we can make any moves on getting your body back, we have to get my arm back to normal, and yours to.. Rose." Ed said, giving me a look that told me he wanted an explanation. "After all, I'm the only one who knows how to bond your soul to the armor..."

"Uh-huh."

"It's been awhile. But we need to pay a visit to our mechanic." Ed said with a smile.

"Well that settled, where we going exactly?" I asked.

"Resembol." Ed stated.
