"These events take place in between 1-2 years after Obito's death. What you'll about to see it's going to be very important so keep an eye for the small details." The stranger said before getting ready to use the jutsu once again.
The young Team Seven still felt a little shaken up after the events that they just seen. Unlike the Jounins in the room, they didn't had to much experience into accepting someone's death that easily.
But it wasn't like the Jounin's were enjoying seeing the future fall apart in front of them. Call it whatever you want, but they still had that instinct to jump in front of the kids and protect them. That's just common sense. The children were the king after all.
"Alright then, let's start."
Kushina gulped. She had reasons to feel anxious. If Obito died, who was going to be next? Was the war over by that time? At least she hoped it was over...
The scene opened opened up with the famous trio formation Ino-Shika-Cho, who just arrived at the borders. Their mission was simple and yet it was very dangerous.
"Well I was definitely not expecting to see Shikaku, Inoichi and Chozura today." Jiraiya chuckled.
At the other side of the border, a handful of Hidden Stone shinobies were waiting for the trio standing in front of them to make the first mistake. Grinning at them, they sneakily got their hands on their kunais that were resting in their pockets.
"Man, the war again?" Obito whined.
"Accept this from the Hokage!" Shikaku yelled, loud enough to be heard before throwing the secret scroll at the Stone shinobies. The one who seemed to be the leader caught it easily and frowned at the document.
"Deliver it to the Lord Tsuchikage and relay him that we desire an immediate response!" Shikaku finished.
"Could it be?" Tsunade mumbled as she looked at the scroll.
"It seems like it." Minato nod at her, understanding what she was talking about. But he wasn't the only one who understood Tsunade's words. All the Jounin's knew exactly or at least had an idea of what was in that scroll.
"What is it, sensei?" Obito asked as the curiously ate him alive. He wanted to know too.
It didn't took long before the ninjas standing before them responded.
"Well, Obito, during this time of war, the Hokage and the Tsuchikage don't really communicate that much, fearing that it would spark other fights other than the war." Minato started to explain.
"There's no reason for us to bother the Tsuchikage with such things. We'll give you your answer right here, right now!"
"Tch." Jiriaiya said as he shook his head.
"But by what we are seeing, it seems that Lord Hokage must have the intention to end the war. There's a possibility that, inside that very scroll, there is a peace treaty." Minato finished explaining.
"A-And so, they know what's inside the scroll?" Obito stuttered.
"Naturally." Tsunade answered a little annoyed as she saw the Stone ninjas get ready for a fight.
The trio stepped back at the said words. They expected something this but not this soon.
"So if they know, why they just go to the Tsuchikage? I mean... Everyone wants the war to end." Obito asked his eyes followed Shikaku.
"No." Kakashi answered making Rin and Obito look at him."Sure, they all want the war to stop but... They all want to win the war as well." He explained.
"Peace treaty means there is no winner. Every nation involved will win absolutely nothing." Minato said.
There was a small death glare contest between them as the other Stone ninjas took out their kunais and prepared for battle. Their leader seemed very confident in what they were doing. But most of the times it's best to use your head first. At least that was what Shikaku was thinking.
"They shouldn't be so one sided..." Tsunade mumbled as she looked at the screen.
"Sometimes it's best not to be hasty." A voiced was heard making the others look in the direction it was coming from.
"Who...?" Obito asked quietly as he tried to get a better view. That started to annoy Tsunade as the chair began to make some noise.
"Stop that!" She yelled, making Jiraiya jump in his chair a little.
"W-What?!"
"Why is the Hidden Sand here?!"
By now most of the Stone shinobi realized that they were the one to make the first mistake.
On the side of the Hidden Sand border, the Fourth Kazekage stood up proud and strong with dozens of men ready for a fight. At that, the Hidden Stone understood the message.
"So that's the Fourth Kazekage..." Minato said as he examined the man on the screen.
"He looks young." Jiraiya stated.
"I've heard that even now the Third's disappearance is still a mystery." Tsunade said as she remembered the rumors she heard a few weeks ago.
"This is the Hidden Sand territory. It would be unwise to have an incident occur here. We'll put out any sparks that rain down over us. The Sand will move accordingly as the Sand. Remember that, whatever you decide to do." The Kazekage said in peaceful manner.
"He looks pretty intimidating if you ask me." Obito replied as he examined the Kazekage. He didn't understood why the Jounin's seemed a little on edge because of the Kazekage.
"Still... No one can forget what happened to the Third." Jiraiya said.
"Wasn't he the Kage that mysteriously disappeared recently?" Rin asked as she bit her nails.
"Disappeared?" Obito repeated as his eyes locked with Minato's.
"The Third Kazekage was known all over the world for his strength and intellectuality. At the begging stage of the war he suddenly disappeared without a trace. No one knows what happened to him; if he is dead or just hiding." Minato explained to Obito who now had his eyes wide opened.
The possibilities were endless. If this man was so strong, why did he ran away? It just didn't seemed right.
However, his tone, didn't really gave out that message. It sounded more like: I dare you to try and take this for granted.
"If you ask me, I'd say he was killed." Tsunade said while she didn't bother to move her eyes away from the screen.
"You mean he was assassinated?" Obito asked Tsunade quietly. That made her look away from the screen and move her attention to Obito.
"Who knows..." Tsunade said dreamily. "It might as well be a message." She finished.
"A message?" Obito asked as he furrowed his brows but didn't get an answer. He looked around the room to see if anyone would answer him but no one did.
He was left there all confused.
It wasn't long until the Stone shinobies scattered around and ran back to their villages at their captain's orders.
The scene moved to the Hidden Stone village who now had a very important meeting in the process.
"What about the request to enter into the peace treaty?" An elder asked.
"Naturally, it will be turned down." Another elder replied.
"What?! ARE THEY THAT IDIOTIC, DATTEBANE?!" Kushina yelled at the screen as her hair stared to float around her.
Minato moved away in the process, as he didn't wanted to get accidentally injured.
"The Red Hot Habanero..." Obito mumbled as a little sweat was starting to form on his forehead. "Scary..." He then said making Kushina look immediately at him.
"What did you say?!" She shouted at him, making Minato close one of his eyes and Rin to move a little closer to Kakashi, who didn't even paid attention to what was going on around him.
"N-nothing!"
"Whatever the Hidden Leaf negotiates with the Hidden Sand, nothing will challenge the unity of the Stone." Someone said making the others who were attending the meeting stand up from their sits and nod in agreement as they began to talk between them.
"But this is much more to consider than your own pride, dattebane!" Kushina sighed and crossed her arms.
"I never thought I'd see a council meeting from the Hidden Stone..." Jiraiya said as he moved closer to the screen.
"You can second that, dattebane." Kushina nod.
The Kazekage however seemed to have a different opinion. Sure, he loves his pride and all but above all of that, he loves his people more. The war made both Hidden Leaf and Hidden Stone have major loses in their ranks. This needed to stop and this was the only opportunity they had to make that decision.
"Silence!" The Kazekage shouted, establishing order within the room. "Naturally, I am proud of the unity of the Stone. However..." The Kazekage looked down at the scroll lying on the table, in front of this eyes. "With the pride on our line, we sent 1000 of our shinobi. I hear that it took just one of them, the Yellow Flash, to stop the invasion."
"How is that old fart is still alive?" Tsunade's eyes twitched.
"You know that he is just a few years older than the Third, right?" Jiraiya stated as he looked at Tsunade who only sighed in annoyance.
"At least he still has some common sense in him." She then continued.
At that everyone looked down, ashamed of their responses they had until now. They've forgotten the people who made them reach this far.
"And that's just the reality of it..."
"Well, that means that the war is over?" Obito asked hopeful.
"Entering the final stage of the war, more likely." Fugaku replied making his nephew look at him for a second before he's attention went back to the screen.
Back in Konoha, the Hokage finally received, a few days later, the response they all have been waiting for. For now, the war was at its final stage. It wouldn't be long until the war will be officially over.
"Well done." Said Homura to the Third.
"We can breathe a sigh of relief for now." Koharu continued as she looked at the Hokage.
Danzo however didn't seemed too pleased with these news. All this happiness coming just a simple agreement, they all forgot about the past. The Hokage was too soft-hearted to understand something this. Sure, he was thinking about the villagers but what about the people who already died? Do they get their revenge? Well from this, it seemed that they won't.
"I don't get a friendly vive from this guy." Obito whispered to Kakashi but the Jounins heard that either way.
"Well, you got that right. He isn't a 'friendly' guy." Jiraiya nod.
"Are you satisfied with an agreement like this? To forgive the Hidden Stone's actions and drop our demands for compensation. It's as thought we lost the war!" Danzo said in a sharp tone as he glared at Hiruzen.
"Oh..." Obito laughed awkwardly.
'I just jinxed that, didn't I?' He thought.
"Well he has a point, dattebane... But losing more innocent lives for the sake of revenge is no more justice anymore." Kushina shook her head.
"What do you think Hiruzen?" Homura asked.
"Continuing the war any further would be disastrous for already exhausted Hidden Leaf. It's a step toward finding common ground." As he finished saying that, Danzo's hand slammed on the table in front of them. He gave Hiruzen an scowl and yelled out.
"War is useless anyway. It only brings destruction and scars." Kushina said as she hugged herself.
Minato looked at her for a second. He knew better than anyone how Kushina was feeling about wars. She really hated them but at the same time she also feared them.
When she noticed someone staring at her, her eyes locked with Minato's. He gave a reassuring smile before looking back at the screen.
Many of my friends gave their lives for this great war! It's like they died in vain!"
"And I assume full responsibility for that." Hiruzen interrupted. At that, Danzo was a little surprised. He leaned back on his chair and looked in curiosity at the Third.
Fugaku raised his brows at that. How was the Third going to do that? There are a few possibilities here and he sure didn't dared to guess which one.
"And how are you going to do that?" Danzo asked. It sounded more as a dare more than a question. Hiruzen furrowed his eyes and let out a sigh.
"I intend to step down as Hokage and have the Fourth announced.
"Whaaaat?!" Obito yelled out. "I was not expecting a new Hokage this soon!" He then continued.
"Hmph. I guess the old age finally got to him." Tsunade nod making Jiraiya chuckle a little at her comment about their sensei.
"Huh? What do you mean?" Obito asked.
"He's always complaining about paperwork. This is a perfect opportunity for him to leave that place and look cool doing it." Tsunade explained.
"Paperwork, huh?" Minato murmured. "It can't be that bad, right?" He then said a little louder.
"But to retire... That's a little too much, dattebane!"
Hours later, the Konoha council along with the Fire Daimyo, gathered at, probably, one of the most important meetings that ever took place in all these years. Konoha was about to get a new Hokage. Of course, the decision had to be well thought but Hiruzen planned this for months now. He knew exactly who he wanted to recommend for the said place.
"How regrettable..." The Daimyo spoke up. "The Third was doing a fine job." He then continued only stopped when Danzo gave him a small glare.
"Exactly." Kushina nod.
Everyone in the room were waiting patiently for the new possible candidates. This was getting interesting for sure.
"Truth be told, the Third Hokage was too soft. He allowed the village to be pushed into a corner. We need a Hokage who will change things and enforce the laws of the shinobi."
"I don't exactly like this guy... Who is he anyway?" Obito asked as he crossed his arms.
He felt something uneasy about this man. He seemed a little too sinister for him. Too suspicious. But he would never say that out loud.
"Shimura Danzo." Fugaku hissed. "Part of the council but there's something more to him than it meets the eye."
"Well he was a nerve to talk about the Third like that! Elder or not." Obito shook his head.
"And? Is there such a person?" The Daimyo asked.
There was a small pause until Danzo decided to say everything that was on his mind.
"I recommend Orochimaru, one of the Legendary Sannin." At the said words, everyone started to debate on that option. Sure, Orochimaru had power but...
"Orochimaru?!" Jiraiya jumped off his seat. What the hell?
"Orochimaru? Who's- Wait, I know who he is." Obito said as he forgot for a second who that person was. One of the Legendary Sannins.
Minato furrowed his brows. This wasn't right. He just realized after another inspection around the room. Two of out three Sannins were here. And here brings the question. Why are they only two here?
Was Orochimaru a traitor? That would be scandalous.
"I would vote for you, darling." Kushina giggled as she placed her hand on his shoulder.
"Ahh, thanks." Minato laughed awkwardly.
"Yeah! Sensei, you would totally be cool as Hokage!" Obito nod making his teammates nod in agreement as well.
"But Orochimaru... I never imagined him as Hokage before." Tsunade said as she furrowed her brows.
'What the hell is going on?' She thought.
"What do you think, Lord Third?" The Fire Daimyo asked as he wasn't too thrilled at the current options the village had.
"Orochimaru truly is a genius in this age of war." Danzo smirked at Hiruzen's comment. This was going just as he planned. "However..." and with that, Danzo's confidence started to crumble away. "There's a sinister will and greed lurk deep behind those eyes. Such person cannot be given the duties of a Hokage."
"Yep." Obito nod at the screen.
Kakashi was very calm about the entire thing. He learned not be affected by this, in a short amount of time. If this was a glimpse into the future, this was their chance to alter it.
The Hokage's words only confirmed Minato's suspicion. It was clear up to this point that Orochimaru was a bad guy.
"I never really liked Orochimaru that much to be honest." Kushina said. Jiraiya glared at her.
There was always something off about him, that's no question... But him being a villain? That's a little bit out of line.
Plus, wasn't the Third their sensei? This was what he was thinking this entire time? And why is Orochimaru suddenly brought up? Him being the Hokage? Supported by Danzo out of all the people?
"Lord Third!" Danzo breathed out as it was getting a little difficult to breathe. But wasn't Orochimaru his student for God's sake? Wasn't he supposed to agree with that option?
"I recommend Minato Namikaze." Hiruzen finished leaving the entire room silent.
Minato's thoughts stopped within seconds after hearing that. It was like the whole world was paused around him and he was the only aware of that.
His breathing stopped, his eyes wide opened as he looked back at the screen as his hands began to sweat. He swore he felt his heart skip a beat at that.
Everyone had the same reaction. They immediately looked at Minato and then back at the screen.
Kushina was the one to break the silence first.
"Oh my gosh!" She yelled as she hugged him (suffocated him). "Good job!" She then continued.
"Thanks-" Minato tried to say after he regained his breath.
"I knew it will come true... That dream of yours. I just knew it." Jiraiya smiled.
'Could this be that he might be the Child of the Prophecy?' Jiraiya asked himself as he looked at Minato, who was now congratulated by his student.
"Minato sensei!" Obito looked at him in awe. His dream was also to become Hokage. So seeing his sensei, who also dreamed of that for many years, it was inspiring.
"Congratulations sensei!" Rin smiled at Minato.
"Okay guys, I appreciate but I haven't been named as Hokage. I was just recommended." Minato sighed.
"Oh cut it out. We already know the winner of this race. You've been recommended by the Third. You're already in everyone's favor." Tsunade said.
"A pupil of Jiraiya... In other words, a disciple of your disciple." Koharu commented.
"Somehow, she didn't sounded so thrilled when she said that." Obito said.
Minato closed his eyes. Of course they wouldn't be thrilled about it. They knew of his strength but not his alliances. They were probably thinking that the Third was plotting something with his help.
"A man so skilled, he's nicknamed the Yellow Flash." Homura added.
Danzo seemed pissed and stood up.
"Minato is still too young." Danzo yelled out, making the Daimyo raise his brows.
"The 'too young' excuse I see." Tsunade shook her head. "Well that excuse is getting 'too old'."
"Yeah! Sensei will be the most amazing Hokage of all! I know it." Obito yelled at the screen.
Truth to be told, Minato felt flattered by all the compliments and how everyone believed in him.
"He emerged victorious at the Battle of Kannabi Bridge, and distinguished himself by leading the way to the end of the Third Great Shinobi War."
"Well, I'm opposed it." Danzo declared.
Kushina gripped her fist as Danzo said that. She met him once. He wasn't exactly the most pleasant person.
"Is he allowed to say that?" Obito asked Kakashi quietly. A little bit annoyed, Kakashi turned around and replied. "Well of course he is allowed. It's an open vote." He said.
"Still, insulting the Third in such manners. He has absolutely no respect." Fugaku said making Obito turn around and look at him for a second.
There was a small glare contest between the two. It seemed as if they were from different poles. They never had the same opinion. Never.
"What about the rest of you?" The Daimyo asked.
And with that, everyone nod including the Daimyo himself. Danzo was lacking support, so his vote didn't even matter anymore. The Fourth Hokage was already chosen.
"Oh my gosh! Minato! Congratulations!" Kushina yelled pulling Minato in another breathtaking hug.
Minato patted her shoulder, trying to get her to calm down since she was one step away from starting to cry from the excitement.
'Sensei...' Obito thought with a big smile on his face. 'I wonder how it feels... To know that you will achieve your dream.' His smile was starting to fade away with that thought. He died. His end was near. He also wanted to become someone successful... Those options were cut off from him during that lifetime. Maybe he could change it in this one.
"See, what did I tell you." Tsunade grinned at Minato who was overcome by emotions as minutes passed.
Kushina now had tears in her eyes. As things finally calmed down, she suddenly felt this sensation of anxiety and guilt forming in her stomach. It felt as if something was about to get terribly wrong from here. But what?
It felt exactly like the dead silence and calm before a huge and dangerous storm.
Next day, the Third decided to call Minato in to give him the news. He knew the fate of the village was in good hands from the moment he recommended him. Mianto alone raised himself to that level. He worked hard to achieve this dream and that's why the Third wanted the most to be able to announce this to Minato on his own.
Minato saw the look on Kushina's face. He never seen her this scared since the moment he was about to leave on his first A rank mission. He leaned closer to her, so that no one could hear them talking and her her if there was something troubling her.
"Oh um... It's nothing." She smiled at him but he already knew that behind that smile, something was terribly wrong.
"Are you sure?" He asked quietly with a worried expression.
"It's just - I don't know. I have this strange feeling. It's like..."
"Like what?"
"Just forget about it. I'm sure it's nothing. Probably just the dinner." She gave him a forced laugh before getting her attention back at the screen.
"If you say so." Minato mumbled.
"I think you are asking yourself why you have been called here on your free time." The Third stated as Minato kneeled. "I tend not to question your way, Hokage-sama." Minato said making the Third chuckle a little.
The Hokage let out a sigh. He didn't really knew how to say this. He knew how much it meant to Minato, that's why he couldn't bring himself to say it bluntly.
"Last night, as you probably, by now, are aware, the Fire Daimyo was here for a very important meeting. Everyone from the council was there, including some Jounins. I have decided to retire."
Minato's eyes widened but quickly hid his emotions. Was this going where he thought it was going? He didn't wanted to interpret it incorrectly, however, form the bottom of his heart, he hoped he was right this time as well.
"Of course you already had a clue." Jiraiya sighed. "Why I am surprised." He then finished, rubbing his forehead.
"Sorry..." Minato chuckled.
"Sometimes, it would be fun to see your reaction to things for once. Ehh, I guess that doesn't matter anymore. You're about to become Hokage! The youngest and the most brightest." Jiraiya smiled at Minato who smiled back at him.
Jiraiya was more than a sensei to Minato. He was more like father. He was the man that helped him become who he is now. Now that he knows accomplished what many thought it was impossible, he was eager to see how the life of a Hokage looked like.
"The Fourth Hokage was chosen." Hiruzen paused. "I believe that you will carry on the Will of Fire. So I want to entrust you with the future of the Hidden Leaf and the shinobi world... You will accept, won't you?" The Third already knew the answer but he needed the confirmation.
"I shall do my best to deserve your trust, Lord Third." Minato replied as his eyes finally met the Third's .
"I wish I could have passed this on under better circumstances... What lies ahead is not peaceful."
"I'm prepared for it." Minato answered truthfully.
"I'm sure you are. I have faith in you."
"Wait that was it?" Obito asked confused.
"What did you thought it would be like?" Kakashi asked a little annoyed.
"I don't know. More grandiose maybe? A little more excitement? Some emotions?" Obito shrugged.
"Maybe another time kiddo." Tsunade replied.
"The Hokage did say he wished to have announced him in a better circumstance. It just wasn't the right time." Rin smiled at Obito who was now blushing.
Ever since that scene where he practically confessed his , oh so well hidden, crush on her (also Kakashi pointing that a few more times) it was very hard for Obito to face Rin. That's the only reason he sat beside Kakashi right now.
The moment their eyes met, Obito looked in another direction and so did Rin. It seemed that they both remembered the same thing just now.
'Man, I screwed up big this time! I guess my death wasn't the only tragedy that happened at that moment. My entire relationship, that I had built up with Rin all those years during the academy were killed along with it! Damn you rocks!'
With his fist suddenly flying in the air, Obito caught the attention of Kakashi, sitting next to him, who was now looking at him rather confused and weirded out.
'What's wrong with him now? Does he have an internal monologue or something?' Kakashi thought as he raised his eyebrows.
Later that day, Minato finally arrived home. He wasn't sure how to react to what just happened. He felt somehow overwhelmed to know and understand that up to this point, he will now be called, the Fourth Hokage.
It sounded more cheesy than ever when imagining Kushina calling him that. It was both of their dreams and one day they hoped to pass that same dream to their child.
Kushina was happily waiting for Minato to come back home.
'They are just so cute together.' Rin blushed as she looked at the screen.
Minato entered the house with a very serious look on his face. He decided to be act like he had everything under control when in fact, he was absolutely on cloud nine. But that idea didn't last long since just one look at Kushina and he was already smiling.
"What are you doing there, dattebane?" Kushina asked as she heard his movements. Walking towards him, she gave him a big smile. "What did the Lord Third want with you?" Kushina asked. Before Minato could reply she already stared to interpret it differently.
"Did you get scolded? So what? Don't worry about it, dattebane!" Kushina said in a hopeful tone. He never got scolded and that bothered Kushina somehow. Deep inside her, all she ever wanted was to see Minato get scolded at least once since he always does the job much better than she does.
Kushina started to laugh awkwardly. She sort of predicted she would say that. You see, ever since Minato started to become this huge 'celebrity' among the nations for his skill, she, in a way, hoped for Minato to be scolded for once.
She still wanted to become Hokage! She had her reasons.
"Dattebane..." She sighed as she face-palmed.
"Good to see you haven't changed, Kushina." Jiraiya laughed.
"I'm not sure if I should punch you or to thank you."
"Well, it wasn't that..."
"Then what, dattebane?" Kushina asked confused.
"Well... He wants me to be the Fourth Hokage." Minato announced.
"Oh really? Don't mind the Hokage. He's only doing that to make you better shin-" Kushina stopped mid-sentence. "What?! W-What did you just say!?" Kushina yelled out as a blush formed on her cheeks.
The entire room was filled with laughter. Kushina tried to hide her blush with a chuckle. Yes, it was funny but for her, it was absolutely embarrassing.
Minato smiled at her and placed his hand on her back.
"I think it's cute." He said making Kushina smile as she met his eyes. Of course he would say that. After all, he would be dead meat if he would've laughed along with the others.
"I've been named the Fourth Hokage." Minato nod.
"DATTEBANE!"
Somewhere, in a forest, that same night, many Anbus were scattered around an entrance to what it seemed like an hideout.
"What? Why are the Anbu's there?" Obito raised his eyebrows. "It looks like a shady place if you ask me."
"Good question, kid. This might as well start to get interesting again." Jiraiya nod.
Inside the hideout, Orochimaru was working on his experiments as Danzo was pacing around the room.
Jiraiya's eyes went from wide open in surprise to be filled with absolute disgust. This was absolutely unacceptable.
"Orochimaru? So he's working with Danzo now? Why would he do that?" Tsunade asked confused.
'Just as I suspected. There was something more than met the eye.' Minato thought.
"That bastard again?" Obito scoffed.
"It's all going Hiruzen's way." Danzo said as he stopped behind Orochimaru.
"Hiruzen's way, huh?" Jiraiya mocked him.
"The Third Hokage intends to use Minato as a puppet and keep ruling the Hidden Leaf." Orochimaru stated as he didn't even bother to look at Danzo.
"Wait, so he's a bad guy?" Obito asked confused. Well, he wasn't the only one confused. All the Jounin's in the room were a little on edge. They had no idea who was the enemy.
Was it Danzo? Was it Orochimaru? Who was manipulated by whom?
"At this rate, the Hidden Leaf has no future."
"Don't give up yet. If my research is successful, it will be easy to grasp the power of the Hidden Leaf. To grasp power... stronger measures must be prepared."
"When the time comes, we won't be choosing measures. But, it's not time yet.
"I really don't have a good feeling about this." Rin shook her head.
Minato took a look around the room. Everybody was a little surprised to see Orochimaru acting tthat way. True, he wasn't the most angelic presence in the world, but that did not meant they did not trust him.
At this point they all knew what was coming next. A betrayal.
Next day, the Fourth Hokage was announced to the world. Everyone was shocked at the sudden change but they all seemed very happy with the choice.
Kakashi wasn't aware of these news yet. He was sitting on a bench, alone, reading a book while all the sudden, Might Guy was running towards him at full speed. That's when he knew, that the peace and quiet was over for him.
Kakashi shivered a little once he saw Guy. Ever since his childhood, Guy always declared himself his rival. True, it was impressive for a person like him to graduate the academy without any jutsu whatsoever but...
"Isn't that Might Guy?" Obito asked as he tilted his head on the right. "I didn't know you had friends, Kakashi." He then laughed making Kakashi scowl at him.
"Might Guy? As in Might Duy's son?" Jiraiya asked as he remembered the similar name.
"Didn't you realized that from the... Distinctive sense of fashion?" Tsunade sighed.
"Or eyebrows?"
"Kakashi!" Guy yelled. Once he finally arrived in front of him, he grabbed his book and furrowed his brows at what he was reading. "The Way a Shinobi Should Die?" Guy asked confused as he read the title.
"Oh Kakashi..." Kushina sighed as she shook her head.
Kakashi frowned at that.
"Give it back." Kakashi said as he quickly got his hands back on his book. "What's going on?" With that, Guy remembered what he was there for in the first place.
"Oh yeah! The Fourth Hokage was just announced." Guy gave him a thumbs up. Kakashi looked up from his book a little surprise which made Guy grin at his rival.
"Don't be so shocked." He said before announcing the name of the Fourth Hokage."Minato-sensei was just named the Fourth Hokage."
And with that, Kakashi's eyes widened. They were filled with all kinds of emotions. He knew exactly how his sensei must be feeling.
"Cute." Tsunade said out loud making Kakashi blush a little. He wasn't cute!
"Still, it's a little troubling that Kakashi still didn't get over Obito's death after all this time. No one says not to forget the person who died, but mourning them forever isn't good for you either, dattebane." Kushina said as she looked at her hands.
He knew exactly who he had to pass on this message to.
Next scene showed Kakashi who was placing some flowers on a grave.
"You won't believe this. Minato-sensei was named the Fourth Hokage." Kakashi chuckled.
"Thanks for telling me. You didn't had to, but thanks." Obito smiled at Kakashi.
Minato smiled at the two. It was so good to finally see them get along. But it still bothered him something. Never in his life, he will let something like that happen again.
But there was no response. There always was no response.
"Well, I gotta go and tell Obito about it. I can't wait until we will meet again someday..." Kakashi whispered before walking towards the next grave.
On the tomb, there was a familiar name written on it. Rin Nanohara.
Once the screen turned black, the room was filled with a excruciating dead silence.
Rin wasn't even looking at the screen anymore. She had her head resting on her hands as she tried to take a few breaths. She died? Why? Kakashi made sure she got out of there alive!
"What!" Obito yelled as he stood up. "B-but how! No way! She got out of there alive." He clenched his fist.
"Obito calm down." Minato said firmly as he frowned at Obito's lack of control. He understood that this was sensitive subject but Obito had to learn that expressing your emotions like this wasn't going to help anyone.
"No! I'm not going to calm down!" Obito jumped from his sit, making Rin flinch at his sudden change of attitude. This wasn't the Obito she knew. "Kakashi promised he will protect her! Why is she dead!"
"Obito!" Kushina gasped.
"This isn't Kakashi's fault." Minato said calmly.
"I wanna know why she died! I didn't died just for her to die afterwards." He continued, begging to get more and more angry.
"Obito, please... Just stop it." Rin said, making Obito pause and look at her. They stared at each other for a while. Obito let out a cough before he sat back down on his chair.
"Sorry..." Obito mumbled.
"But... Obito is right. Why did Rin died? I was in charge of protecting her-" Kakashi began but was cut off by Rin who now was beginning to get annoyed. "No you weren't. I'm an independent human begin and I am able to protect myself." She said.
"It's quite ironic actually..." The hooded man began, making everyone in the room look at him. Minato raised his brows at that. "Why is that?" He asked but the person did not replied.
"Oh but, Kakashi..." Kushina looked at him with a sad face. The only reason he was reading book like those was because his entire team died. He was probably traumatized at that point.
"Thank you for sharing this, with us." Obito said out of the blue. Rin looked at him and her eyes widened. His hands were shaking and he was about to cry. "Thank you... Now we can save everyone." Obito smiled through his tears.
The hooded person did not reply.
'Not everyone...' He thought.

Sorry it took me so long to write this! I wasn't feeling very well his past days and I also was busy with my job and everything.
But now that summer is finally here I can't wait to finish school T_T Every single one of my friends finished school and I am still waking up at 7AM for that bus. My school finishes the semester on 30th (10th grade and 11th grade); the 12th grade finished in May but that's a story for another time. I feel sorry for the 9th grade since they finish it only on the 7th of July. Rest in peace.
Let's talk about Boruto. I am telling you all now that Sumire is a bad guy! All that cutesy attitude, shy and everything, she reminds me of Obito. And we all know what happened to Obito.
She became suspicious to me ever since that episode with The Battle of the Sexes. So I'm calling it. Sumire for the next Obito Uchiha!
Plus we did not see her in Boruto The Movie so that can only mean one thing: either she died (extreme), she is a traitor (calling it) or her wounds are really bad (highly doubt it since she can walk).
But I'm curious to hear your opinion on that :)
Ps: I don't think Mitsuki has anything to do with this. I don't think Orochimaru has anything to do with this either. I feel like they just try to make Mitsuki look suspicious to surprise us with Sumire ;)
