—I didn't want to start a fight with you!

"Ah!!! We are in Tokyo!"

Was the first thing Sonmi heard as she made her way off the Karasuno bus, she was all smiles as she looked around at the bright blue sky of Tokyo, watching the people passing by on the street, and the smell of fresh pine. The girl watched as the rest of the team started to get acquainted with the Nekoma team again. She looked to see the familiar looking tall spiky black-haired boy from last time, to be honest Sonmi didn't care to learn any of the teams names from that game due to her funk she had been in that week. The memories drifted back for a moment before Sonmi decided to shake it out of her head and fully get off the bus, moving over to where Asahi and Sugawara were.

Asahi looked around bleakly, "Doesn't seem that much different from back home in Niyagi."

"We are out in the suburbs you know." Suga reminded him.

Sonmi smiled at the two, "Well I think it's pretty cool here!" Sonmi perked up, catching the attention of the two, she realized the two probably didn't know she was right there since she didn't say anything until now. Her face turned a little red, she didn't mean to ease drop on the two and hoped they didn't think it was weird of her to be forcing herself in the conversation.

In the background Sonmi could hear faint talking, causing her to turn and see Nishinoya and Yamaguchi pushing Tsukishima off the bus, "Wake up already!" Noya commanded.

Tsukishima opened his heavy eyelids, rubbing his eyes as he yawned. He certainly couldn't be bothered to be awake at such an early time, especially on a weekend. He could feel as Yamaguchi and Nishinoya pushed him off the bus, he looked around at the surroundings, the blue sky and white clouds, but one thing caught his attention. He saw Sonmi looking over at him, while it looked like she had been talking to Asahi. This prompted him to stand up more straight and wake up, "Yeah, yeah guys," He shook the two boys off him, "I'm up."

Sonmi turned her attention back towards the school, noticing as Kami was pulling her along. Kami had been following behind Kiyoko and Yachi as they all tried to make their way into the school, "Come on Som, we don't have all day to be staring." She teased, elbowing her, which caused Sonmi to roll her eyes.

"So you've never been to Tokyo before Sonmi?"

Sonmi looked over to see the tall long haired Ace had been talking to her, she looked a bit surprised to hear her name, considering he had not called Sonmi her full name often. She went to answer the question before she was interrupted by a cry.

"There's FOUR of them?" A boy yelled, he fell to the floor in tears, "Half's the sexy kind, and half's the cute kind!" Sonmi observed the boy, realizing she had recognized him, Yamamoto from the Nekoma high, a second year who played as the teams Ace. As he continued to cry on the floor he shouted, "I'm not worthy of such a blessing."

Kiyoko had placed her arm over the three other girls, both Yachi and Sonmi giving him a more concerned look while Kami was rolling her eyes.

"Take a good look tigerhead, behold the glory of going to Karasuno High!" Tanaka shouted while he laughed, looking down at Yamamoto like he was a peasant.

"Let's go." Kiyoko spoke quickly as she pulled Yachi along.

Kami and Sonmi looked at each other as they watched Tanaka continue his laughter, "Stop laughing Tanaka, you sound so stupid."

Sonmi laughed as the two girls walked away, she looked forward to see Tsukishima had been looking back at the scene. This quickly caused Sonmi to tense up a bit, the two of them had been going okay, but okay was the only way to explain it. They were awkward around each other and there was some odd tension between them that Sonmi couldn't explain, which only made her feel worse. Sonmi honestly would've rather them go back to fighting then act so weird around each other. The dark haired girl looked away from the boys direction and tried her best to ignore it.

Kami looked over to see Sonmis' expression, she could tell something had been bothering her. She could've guessed this was because of one of two men on the Karasuno volleyball team. Kami decided she would try to make her feel better, she quickly tapped her, "I wonder which one of us he thought was the sexy kind." She joked, trying to lighten the mood of Sonmi.

Sonmi shook her head as she let out a little laugh, "Definitely you." She joked back.

"Oh really?" Kami said with wide eyes and a grin, "I think two guys here would beg to differ."

Sonmi shoved the girl away from her playfully, laughing as they both entered into the school together.

The team all walked in together, taking a long look as they roamed the school while trying to find the gymnasium. The group all stuck together looking like a true flock of crows, they all looked around the dark narrow hallways of the school trying to not look extremely lost.

Sonmi had now been following the back of the pack, simply following as everyone else lead the way. Kami had left her to speak with Nishinoya and Tanaka in the middle of the group, Sonmi would've followed if it wasn't for the fact that Asahi had been in the middle of the pack as well. Sonmi was trying her best to not be around him, there was something about the two being around each other that just seemed to always ruin everything else around them. Sonmi couldn't explain why the two had even be drawn so close to each other, especially with how different they were, but she felt it was for the best to spend the least amount of time with him as physically possible.

Though Sonmi was not near Asahi, she had been walking behind Yamaguchi and Tsukishima who were both in a stupid conversation about the types of teams they thought would be at this training camp.

Though Tsukishima had not been paying attention to Sonmi in the moment, he could feel her presence behind him, which made him stand taller, speak louder, and try to look confident. The last thing he wanted to do was give Sonmi any reason to talk to any other guy at the event, let alone on the team.

"You're telling me you think all these teams are gonna suck?" Yamaguchi asked.

Tsukishima shrugged, looking up, trying to appear even a little more tall just to impress Sonmi, "Yeah, or at least I'd like to think so."

Yamaguchi rolled his eyes watching as his friend was making a small fool of himself, Yamaguchi could certainly tell that Tsukishima was trying to appear a lot more cool than usual while in the presence of Sonmi, "You're crazy, I'm gonna go ask Daichi what he thinks." He said winking and gesturing his eyes towards Sonmi.

Tsukishima made a straight face at his friend, watching as he left him to be alone with Sonmi towards the back of the group. He looked back for a moment to see Sonmi had not been paying attention to him, "Are you okay?"

Sonmi looked at Tsukishima and she could feel her heart skip a beat for a moment, "Oh, yeah, I'm fine. Just taking a look around."

Tsukishima nodded looking forward again, watching out of the corner of his eye as he realized Sonmi sped up a bit to walk next to him. He could feel his chest shrink and he was trying not to show his nerves, "That's good."

Sonmi now stood shoulder to shoulder two Tsukishima, or more like head to shoulder in her case, the girl looked up at the blonde. Sonmi could quickly take notice of his unusual stance and was trying to figure out, "Was it because of me? Was he nervous?" She asked herself, it was all she could think about until she felt his hand graze her hand, this small notion made Sonmi pull her hand away. She could feel her cheeks becoming a small shade of red as she pulled her hand into her pocket, she wanted to look up to Tsukishima but couldn't face him after the small interaction, she didn't want him to get any wrong ideas due to this small gesture, "Are you nervous?" She asked to break the small awkward silence.

"No," Tsukishima had put shortly, trying his best to not come off nervous, "Of course not." He insisted, through he had not meant to graze Sonmis' small, the gesture only made him want to do it on purpose this time, but he decided against it, not wanting to give anyone the wrong idea because to be frank—he believed it was no one on the teams' business.

The pair didn't exchange anymore words as they walked into the gymnasium, the bright lights scared the team due to the contrast of the dark hallways. The whole team could feel eyes on them, watching as the rest of the teams began to size them up with their looks, the silent whispers about them were barely audible but still notable. The team began to stride into the gymnasium trying to appear as confident they could, even if they were faking it.

Sonmi had stood close to Tsukishima, nearly hiding behind him as she felt all the strangers staring at her, giving her odd or flirty looks, "I feel like everyone is staring at me." She said silently, wanting to see the reaction this would get out of Tsukishima.

Tsukishima didn't flinch at the comment, though he could feel the eyes on the pair, or at least the eyes being on the girl who stood behind him, he didn't wanna appear anything less than confident in front of Sonmi. Tsukishima instead had wanted to tell her, "I don't blame them," But he found himself way too nervous, so instead he said, "It's just because you're a girl."

Sonmi looked up to Tsukishima, noticing he was not looking at her, but instead around at the guys who were indeed staring at her, "Oh." She spoke silently.

Suddenly Asahi had walked by the pair, "Just ignore them Sonmi," He spoke again, saying her name again, which only surprised her even more. Asahi grinned at the girl, hoping his words would make her feel better, especially after the comment he had heard come out of Tsukishimas; mouth, "But," He started, giving Tsukishima a look, then locking eyes with Sonmi again, "I don't blame them."

Sonmi eyes widened, feeling her stomach begin to swirl, her face felt like a heating pad, all she could say in the moment was, "O-Oh! Thank you Asahi." She barely got the words out, feeling like she was gonna faint in that moment.

Feeling nearly the exact opposite standing right next to Sonmi, was Tsukishima, whos' face was red but for different reasons. He could feel his blood boiling, he grinded his teeth together as he watched Asahi walk away from him and Sonmi. Here it was, again, Asahi flirting with Sonmi and Tsukishima was not going to say anything but instead stay angry to himself because he's bad at expressing his feelings. Out of the corner of his eye he could see Sonmi blushing, which only pissed him off further because he's expressed his concerns to Sonmi about her and Asahi. Though he knew it wasn't her choice for who she was attracted to, it made him upset that he shared that same characteristic with Asahi of all people, the guy who is damn near his polar opposite. Tsukishima couldn't help but ask again how Sonmi could like both him and Asahi when they couldn't be anymore different. He suddenly felt Sonmis' eyes on him, almost like waiting for him to say anything to her, but he instead grasped his practice bag harder and walked away trying not to show how truly angry he was.

_____

Sonmi sat down as she watched the practice matches, she was trying her best to soak up as much rival intel she could while watching, but her eyes tended to wander to a certain player with the number three on their jersey. The compliment rang in her head, like a record on repeat, she couldn't help but think about it, considering Asahi and her had not been on the best terms recently. It wasn't like they had any sort of falling out or anything, Sonmi had just been avoiding him since Tsukishima expressed how he felt about her hanging out with him, so she was trying to not give Asahi a reason to not talk to her, but it seems the ignoring did nothing. Sonmi so badly wanted to not like two guys at the same time, she wanted to be able to give one her full undivided attention, and every time she tries to focus on one, the other decides to do something in attempt to get her back.

Kami sat next to Sonmi, watching as her eyes followed Asahis' every move, Kami couldn't understand the first year. One minute she was best friends with Asahi and then the next she is walking around with Tsukishima like they are dating, and then she's back and fourth again and again and again until Kami decides she doesn't care anymore. She finds it kind of messed up of Sonmi to do that to the boys, but it doesn't seem likes she's doing so on purpose, but instead she's just stupid. But Kami thought higher of Sonmi, and she couldn't be so naive to drag along two guys without knowing, right? Kami looks out of the corner of her eye, seeing Tsukishima on the sideline, watching Sonmi watch Asahi. The brown haired girl knew about the Tsukishima-Asahi feud and found it a bit funny that Sonmi was oblivious to it, or she pretends to be sometimes when Kami asks her about it. Kami waved to Tsukishima, trying to see if he was spaced out looking at Sonmi or if he was actually watching her every move. This struck an awkward moment of realization from Tsukishima, like he had been caught red-handed while staring, causing him to give a half-smile and a pathetic wave back to Kami. Kami laughed before she looked back to the volleyball game, realizing Asahi had missed a spike, she found this a moment to bug Sonmi again as she said, "Aww, your boyfriend missed his spike."

Sonmi looked away from the game, giving Kami a spiteful glare, "Shut up, he's not my boyfriend."

"Yeah, It's Tsukishima this week right? I kind of lose track when it switches every few weeks." This comment caused the two to get quiet, both looking to the floor. Sonmi was confused where the hostility had came from, while Kami was also confused why she even decided to say anything. She felt awful for saying so, she could tell this only bothered Sonmi further, which made sense why Sonmi stood up suddenly, "Where are you going?" Kami asked.

Sonmi didn't bother to look back, "To tell the team they did a good job." She spoke direct and to the point, not really wanting to continue their conversation but instead go and talk to someone who will not berate her.

"The team? Or Asahi?"

Sonmi rolled her eyes, not looking back to Kami, she was not even going to give her the time of day. She felt like Kami was judging her, when Kami literally only hangs out with the team because of the boy she likes who doesn't even give her the time of day. At least Sonmi was here to try to better herself, who was Kami to judge her for getting involved with anyone on the team. The girl walked away and made her way up to the team, not realizing she was indeed heading to talk to Asahi, who was also with Daichi, Nishinoya, and Sugawara, "Hey guys!" She perked, her demeanor doing a complete one-eighty spin from just moments ago. As she caught the attention from the boys she continued, "Good game! You guys did great." She beamed.

"Thanks Som," Asahi replied, receiving a few weird glances as he had never called Sonmi that name before in front of the team.

"Yeah we really tried our best, but I guess the practice is good for us." Daichi explained, patting Asahi on the back.

From across the court, stood Tsukishima by his lonesome, he was drying his face off with his towel as he watched Sonmi talk to his teammates. The whole game he watched as Sonmi didn't even look in his direction, which hurt his ego slightly, and instead stared at Asahi like her life had depended on it. He wouldn't admit how truly upset he was, but instead he would take his anger out on anyone who decided to push his buttons. He couldn't stand to watch them any longer, he thought now would be a good time to go take a breather in the bathroom. Tsukishima walked away from the group, staring down at his feet, he had never experienced frustration like this and certainly didn't know how to deal with it. As he continued to walk, he heard someone yell, "Tsukishima watch out!" The boy looked towards the sound, seeing a volleyball flying at him, causing him to duck. Once he heard the ball hit the wall, he looked up to see everyone was looking at him. The boy, not wanting to draw anymore attention to himself, just continued on his way to the bathroom.

Sonmi had saw the whole scene, trying not to show her concern for Tsukishima on her face as the group of boys were still talking about their game. She looks to see Asahi was talking and looking to her, "Sorry to interrupt, but I'll be right back. I'm gonna go check on Tsukishima." For the quick moment before Sonmi walked away, she saw Asahis' eyes went from a happy look to a more disappointed look. Sonmi had never felt like she walked so fast in her entire life as she walked down the hallway looking for Tsukishima. Turning left and right all around the school, that was until she passed down a hall and saw Tsukishima coming out of the bathroom, "Tsukishima!" She called out, catching his attention as she made her way towards him, "I've been looking for you everywhere." Sonmi said nearly out of breath.
Tsukishima looked down at the girl as she panted for breath, trying his best to not come off irritated, "I was just taking a break." He explained.

"I can see that," She joked, letting out a small chuckle as she was still trying to catch her breath, "I came to check on you, after I saw the ball come flying at you."

Tsukishima gritted his teeth, trying not to make a snarky comment about how he was surprised she noticed when he thought she was so busy staring at Asahi, "I'm fine."

"That's good. I'm assuming the ball didn't hit you at all?" She asked, looking to see he was not looking back at her, but instead he looked extremely uninterested in their conversation, which wasn't out of the normal, but he usually at least looked at her.

He shook his head, "Nope." He stated, Tsukishima wanted nothing more than Sonmi to get out of his face, he didn't really want to have to look at her or hear her voice when all he could imagine was her staring at Asahi throughout the game and talking to him after the game instead of Tsukishima. The blonde couldn't stand how Sonmi had started to make him feel, he was starting to care about what she did, and who she was talking to, which he normally hadn't even cared about her in the first place.

"I see." Sonmi spoke, she was quite puzzled by his odd behavior, maybe he had been tired from the game and just didn't feel like talking. Whatever it was, Sonmi wanted to figure out what it was.

"Yep." Tsukishima stated again, putting emphasis on the p sound of the word, he swung on the tips of his feet and heel, patiently waiting for Sonmi to get out of his way.

Sonmi took note of his behavior, Tsukishima was normally short with his phrases with anyone else, but usually or recently with Sonmi he would actually engage in a conversation or at least pretend to care about anything she had to say. She wanted to ask him what was wrong, but that was not something the two had found themselves talking about often unless Tsukishima had felt like sharing his piece of mind. She went to speak before Tsukishima spoke up instead.

"How's Asahi?"

The question took Sonmi by surprise, hearing Tsukishima even say his name was odd, considering the two avoid talking about Asahi as much as humanly possible to avoid any arguments about him. After asking the question, Tsukishima finally had the nerve to look at Sonmi, but he looked more angry than anything which confused Sonmi, what was with everyone and grilling her about Asahi today? First Kami and her off handed question and now Tsukishima asking about him when he certainly does not give a damn, "Tsukishima, is this why you're acting all agitated?"

Tsukishima could go on for hours about why he was agitated with Sonmi, from the staring, to the compliment, to the talking to him even though Sonmi knows how much it bothers him. The boy gritted his teeth again, biting his tongue from saying anything, "I'm just curious about my teammate, can I not be curious about my teammate?" He lied.

"Since when do you care about Asahi?" Sonmi crossed her arms, she didn't know what his problem was and she wanted to find out what was wrong.

Tsukishima furrowed his brows, "I don't."

"Then why are you asking?"

"Just seems like you talk too him a lot, that's all. So I'm asking because you'd know best." Tsukishima said in a clueless tone, he was trying his best to keep his composure, not wanting to blow his lid.

Sonmi let out a frustrated sigh, "You're being ridiculous!" She practically yelled through the empty hall, as she heard her voice echo through the halls, she let out another sigh, "I was just coming to check on you, I didn't want to start a fight with you."

Tsukishima didn't intend to start a fight with her, he instead tried to keep her out of his sights so he could not be so agitated and try to focus on the volleyball games he was practicing in. But he just couldn't get the imagine of Sonmi adoring Asahi out of his head, it made him want to go up to the third year boy and strangle him. He didn't want Sonmi to look at anyone but him, even though he didn't want to admit it outloud, he wanted Sonmi to only be his and only look or talk to him, and certainly not even acknowledge Asahis' existence. Tsukishima knew this could never happen, and a part of Asahi would always like Sonmi, but he wanted to believe so bad that Sonmi didn't like him anymore, and every time he gets close to thinking she forgot about him, events like this happen.

Sonmi waited for a response, she watched as Tsukishima just maintained eye contact with her and stayed silent. The girl could tell he wasn't gonna budge, and she got quickly fed up with his acting, "Come find me when you stop having a tantrum and want to have a real conversation." And like that Sonmi walked away, leaving Tsukishima to be the one and only boy in the hallway before he made his way back into the bathroom to cool off once more.
