Not The One For Me: Eustass Kid X Reader
We met and it was simple
I had it all and you were the one
That would make it all okay
You made me feel so different
Gentle caresses turned into harsh tugs. Overly warm digits lapped at sensitive places as his breath grazed your neck. He leaned to your ear slowing his pace to draw out more melodic moans. Your nails dragged down his forearms as he hovered above you, begging him to let you finish. His hips pressed to yours firmly, holding steady, he refused your whimpering plea.
We had each other night after night
All my troubles went away
“You’re mine.” the redhead rumbled sinking his teeth into the soft space below your jaw.
Your heart fluttered and insides squeezed, but this was just a fling.
But of course it's just not the same
Meant to be just a rendezvous to relieve each other’s urges and stress; something temporary that went on far too long. Feelings disguised as lust and pleasure crept up into your heart. He didn’t help; all the sweet nothings and amorous touches dragged you along.
You try to hold too tightly
Everything's gonna change
Make the rules and it's just a game
It was all a memory now. All the times you'd been together, every flirty message: all gone.
You sat on the couch, frown etched into your features.
"We can't keep this up." muttered the redhead.
I can't stop burning bridges
I'll win you over, make you my own
And then we'll both feel different
“I- I don't really understand." your voice was so low you were surprised he heard you.
"We agreed it was temporary." his vermilion gaze swept away from you.
You can't possibly give what I want from you
I know I said you were perfect
I made the rules that you didn't know
All of these expectations
You can't possibly give what I want from you
"Kid, please, I- ." you begged
"F/N." he cut you off, "Do not finish that sentence."
So now I treat you different
I made a list of all that I need
And I left it up to you
I treat you like a stranger
He walked passed you the next day, face straight, those gorgeous eyes forward. You knew he felt your gaze as you desperately fought to not call out to him.
And talk to strangers like they know me
It's your fault for all I do
As if you don't suffer too
I tied up all our shit
Into something that we can't undo
These are the rules I should follow too
Sobs rattled through your chest and up your throat as you gasped. It had been close to an hour and though your voice was hoarse and your eyes burned with tears, you couldn't stop.
This was on you.
You fell in love.
Oh it's all my fault
Never meant to be so unkind
Now I don't listen when you talk
And what it comes down to is
I'm just afraid to lose something that shouldn't be mine
"F/N-ya," your roommate had entered so quietly you hadn't noticed, "slow deep breaths."
You did your best to follow his instructions rolling over in the bed to face him as he took a seat on the mattress.
"He's not worth the production." tattooed digits brushed your matted hair from your face.
You nodded trying to gain some sense of control.
I can't stop burning bridges
I'll win you over, make you my own
And then we'll both feel different
You can't possibly give what I want from you
I know I said you were perfect
Kid sat with a sigh deleting the same text he'd rewritten three times.
He was too proud.
And you were gone.
I made the rules that you didn't know
All of these expectations
You can't possibly give what I want from you
A/N - this was a bit of a challenge from AbyssCronica, I have too many fluffy fics. It was supposed to be a drabble but clearly it's just an angsty song fic. 😅
