A/N: Reindeer!Reader.

It was a day as any other in the Thousand Sunny. Truth be told, to be in the New World, the climate was now nice, a sunny day perfect to sunbath and have a refreshing snack. Well, or so did think the majority of the Straw Hat crew. Nami was sitting there sunbathing, Robin was reading with a cup of tea on a little table in front of her. Luffy and Usopp were playing as usual, Zoro was training and Sanji was bringing those delicious snacks to the ladies. Brook played a nice melody with his guitar and Franky was working on something down at his workshop. However, what about a certain cute, blue-nosed reindeer? 

Right now, Chopper was collapsed under the tree of the deck, his body spread wide over the soft grass. His mouth was open, letting out pants and heavy breaths as his tongue was also out. He could be making some medicines, or working to improve his Rumble Ball, but there was only one thing crossing his mind then.

It was so damn boiling. 

He hated high temperatures, obviously, because of his fur. His soft, light brown hair was like a curse to him in situations like this. He had already showered around five times, cold water, but it was no use. 

That's until he heard the excited voices of Luffy and Usopp.

"Land! Nami, there is an island ahead! Let's go there!" Cheered both of them loudly, making Nami go over them with a murderous aura around her, then punched their heads so hard that she made a quite big bump appear. Chopper felt quite relieved, as an island would surely have something to refresh him. He hoped so.

However, today wasn't really his day. The island they had arrived at was a forest island. There was no town, no city, no nothing. Just vegetation and a nice beach. Luffy and the other seemed excited -well, ones more than the others- to have a great beach day, and Chopper did as well, but right now he wasn't very eager.

So there he was, laying on his towel to protect his little body from the burning sand. Sanji had brought him an ice cream in hopes to avoid a heatstroke, but it was melting way faster than he preferred. 

He suddenly heard rustling behind him. Chopper tried to ignore it, but it was heard again. He turned his furry face to have his little, circular eyes greeted by two (E/C) orbs. He jumped backwards startled and the owner of those beautiful eyes gasped, showing their figure. It was a woman, a woman with (H/L) (H/C) hair, wearing some blue shorts and a (F/C) tank top. She looked at Chopper with a confused and worried gaze as he trembled scared. What if she was a spirit of the forest? She would kill them! Suddenly, her eyes became stars and she ran towards Chopper, enveloping him in a strangler hug.

"Aww, you're so cute! Where are you from, little reindeer?" She asked in a sweet voice and Chopper blushed. He pulled away immediately, much to her confusion and disappointment.

"D-Don't think that saying that will make me happy, fool!" He exclaimed still blushing as he made a little happiness dance. After a while, she gasped.

"You can talk?!"Chopper ceased his dance and rumbling, them looked down. She gasped once again. "S-Sorry, did I offend you? I... just meant it's cool!" She said with a warm smile.

"Cool?" Asked Chopper looking at her with big, cute eyes. She had to repress a squeak with such cuteness.

"Yeah, I think it's cool. Now that you can talk, what's your name?" Chopper blushed as she started to pet his head, over the big hat he always wore.

"Chopper!" As he was about to talk someone interrupted him. Both turned their heads to see Luffy running over them. He finally approached them and Luffy, practically, ignored the poor girl. "Food is ready. Sanji told me to come here and tell you before I ate everything." He said with his characteristic laugh. He then looked at the confused girl and pointed bluntly at her. "Ah? Who is she?" 

"Oh, that's right! I haven't even asked your name!" Chopper said and she giggled at him, standing up.

"I'm (Y/N), nice to meet you." Luffy smiled his toothy smile and patted his straw hat.

"I'm Monkey D. Luffy, I'm going to be the Pirate King!" He announced and she nodded politely. "(Y/N), do you want to come with us? The more we are, the funnier!" She looked at Chopper and he nodded with a cute smile. Once again, her squeaking form hugged him mercilessly.

"Oh! Who are you, my beautiful lady? You must be a nymph! Yes, a nymph of the forests! Your beauty blinds me. Please, tell me your name, so I can hear the angelic voice." A man came running over the (H/C) haired girl and knelt in front of her, taking her hand in his and trying to wipe some blood off his nose.

"I-I'm (Y/N)." She said shyly. He crushed his hands on his heart as he let out a dramatic cry.

"OH! What a beautiful name. From now on I'm your servant! No! Your slave! Tell me whatever you need and-" Suddenly an orange-haired girl came out of the blue and punched him right in the head, as she sweat-dropped. What a strange group, she couldn't help but think. 

"Come, (Y/N). Sanji's food is amazing!" She heard Luffy cheer as he was already sitting by the wooden table next to a boy with curly, black hair. She nodded and looked down at Chopper, who looked quite happy. You sat beside him, as he was next to a black-haired woman, who was sitting calmly there. She looked really mature...

"So your name is (Y/N). Is there anyone else in this island." She asked and the (E/C) eyed looked down, shaking her head no. 

"No, I'm here alone. And I quite prefer it like that, although I quite enjoy company sometimes." She explained with a smile. She stayed with them, eating, talking, laughing, and getting to know them. It has been so long since she last really enjoyed company...

After a while, the table was empty, not even a little piece of food was left. She sat there satisfied as she saw some of the Straw Hats stand up harshly and race to the water. Chopper was one of them. Curiously, the temperature was a bit more bearable now, and the little reindeer was now feeling good enough to play with the others. He then turned to the new girl and smiled at her.

"Do you want to come with us?" Her eyes widened as she gulped. She quickly shook her head, worrying Chopper.

"I-I cannot. I'm a Devil Fruit user." She said hesitantly. Chopper looked at her curiously, he was a Devil Fruit user too, also Luffy, Brook and Robin, although she wasn't going to the water. Then Luffy burst into the conversation.

"Really?! Me too, I'm a rubber man." He said stretching his cheek to prove the point. "What's you ability?" He asked excited. She doubted he should show them, since she could scare them... and lose them. Hesitantly, she sighed and got up, then started to show her power.

She suddenly was on all fours, as her legs and arms were getting thinner, and her hands and feet became grayish hooves. Your body was suddenly covered in a brown mantle of fur, similar to Chopper's but darker in color. Her mouth stretched outwards as it became a snout, her face becoming furry too. And lastly a pair of long horns grew on her head. 

Chopper's eyes widened in surprise at the sigh, and the others simple squeaked in admiration. She hadn't realized that she closed her eyes until she heard their approval sounds. Her (E/C) scanned their faces carefully, then she transformed back into a human.

"It's a Zoan type. I can transform into a reindeer whenever I want. I ate the fruit when I was six years old, but back at my town nobody believed in Devil Fruits, so they all considered me a monster. I then decided to come to a deserted island where I couldn't scare anybody."

"So young..." Said Nami touched by her sad story. (Y/N) nodded trying to swallow the lump that formed in her throat.

"You're not a monster!" Her head shot up, looking for the source of the voice. Chopper was looking at you angrily. "You're not a monster. If anything I think you're perfect!" He said blushing heavily. The girl blushed too, looked down. 

"Aw, looks like Chopper has a crush on someone." Cooed Nami beside Robin's ear and she just chuckled. Chopper jumped over the two snickering females. 

"That's not true!" He whined childishly. Both women continued laughing as she felt your face even hotter. Suddenly, Lufy's voice and what it said echoed through the entire beach.

"Then, join my crew!" Everyone stopped talking, and (Y/N) even forgot how to breathe. They were already used to this strange custom of their captain, however the (H/C) haired girl didn't expect it at all. Luffy continued with that happy, trademark grin. "Your ability awesome -although it doesn't overcomes mine-, and Chopper likes you, so why not?"

She looked at everyone and what she saw made her heart drown in a sea of happiness and warmth. They were smiling, Sanji drooling but that's his thing, and even nodded to make her know that she was welcomed. Letting out a few tears of joy, (Y/N) finally nodded her head.

"Thank you!"

·~Some months later~·

It's been a while since you joined the Strw Hat Pirates. You knew everyone perfectly and helped them whenever they needed. However, the one you were more attached to was Chopper. You usually stayed with him as he worked at the sick bay, talked with him and sometimes transformed into your reindeer form just because of his comfort.

But one day you realized it was love. You were in love with this little reindeer, and it's not like it's forbidden. You were born as a human, yes, but you can turn into an animal too. But, what if he doesn't return your feelings? He looks very happy when you were around, so you decided to risk.

You went to look for him, all over the ship. You finally found him at the infirmary. Why in the Earth didn't you look there first? 

"H-Hey, Chopper. How are you?" You asked already feeling nervous. Chopper turned immediately to you with a worried expression and jumped off his chair.

"(Y/N), are you okay? You're stuttering, don't tell me you're sick!" You shook your head, but Chopper was already holding up the stethoscope. You loved how protective he could be, he was simply too cute. After seeing that you were OK he sighed. "Thanks to the goodness you're okay, I don't know what would I do if I lost you, (Y/N)." He muttered, a blush surfacing his cheeks.

"Uh?" Chopper's gaze turned from the ground to your confused form.

"(Y-Y/N), there is something I need to tell you." He said finally and your eyes widened. He wasn't going to... "I-I've been liking you quite a bit more than in a friendly way for a long time. I-I know you m-might not like me back but... I need you to know... that I l-love you, (Y/N)." You didn't answer, since words wouldn't come out. Chopper looked down again, worried. He heard your steps and his heart shattered into pieces, you were going out. However, he was suddenly engulfed in a strangler hug, just like the day you both met. 

"Oh, Chopper. I'm so happy to hear you day that. Of course I love you too!" You squeaked as your hug intensified. You suddenly pulled away as Chopper let out pants, trying to catch his breath. He looked at your sudden reindeer form and was surprised when you nuzzled his blue nose affectionately. He blushed heavily and you smiled.

"Y-You kissed me?" He asked bewildered. You nodded you head happily as a slight blush covered your furry cheeks. Chopper smiled widely and went to nuzzle your nose, as you did the same once again. "I seriously love you!" You giggled.

"Me too, you're just too cute!" Chopper gasped and pulled away, blush still present, and you were already expecting what was going to happen, amused.

"Don't think that saying that will make me happy, fool!"

Old habits never change, right?
