He wants to smile at her happiness, comfort her sadness. He wants to laugh, cry with her. But it never going to happen, he would never receive those emotions.

It was what going in Chase' s thoughts. He looked up and saw the girl, who cause him to be like this. She was walking toward her with her lunch trays. Kiriko, was her name.

"Chase!" she called, "Sorry to make you wait." Kiriko apologized as she sat down. "The line is too crowded."

Chase didn't pay attention, he was deep in his thought.

"Chase!"

Silent.

"Chase!"

More silent.

"Chase!" as he got whacked in his head.

"ouch!" he stated. "What?" he grumbled as he sratched his head.

"Serve you right. Did you hear what I said?" Kiriko stated.

"No." he said in a flat tone. Kiriko let out a heavy sigh.

"I was saying that why are you so distance this day." Kiriko restated.

"What do you mean?" he asked still in his monotone.

"You are avoiding every of your friend, even me." Kiriko muttered. He looked into her eyes, he saw sadness, worrisome.

"Really? I didn't know." he lied.

"You are a bad liar. You know." Kiriko argued back. Chase looked straight at her, and let out his heavy sigh.

"What's wrong? Tell me." Her voice softened.

"I...Um...I... feel isolated." Chase stated.

"Isolated? What...Do you mean because your lack of emotion?" Kiriko asked softly. Chase tilted his head to the side.

"Chase... I know it must be hard for you. Adapting to our environment." Kiriko muttered.

"You don't understand. I... want emotion...I want to laugh, to cry, to get angry like everyone else." Chase protested. Kiriko looked up at his eyes, trying to read his mind.

Chase studied Kiriko's expression. "Nevermind." He grumbled and left the lunch table. He went up to the balcony. Kiriko chased after him.

"Chase, I'm sorry... I didn't mean to..." Kiriko muttered, but she was interrupted by a hug.

"You don't need to apologize. I shouldn't have to get angry." Chase stated.

They pulled out after few minutes. Chase looked at Kiriko.

"The reason I want emotion, is... I want to understand you more Kiriko. I want to be there for you. When you are happy, or when you are sad. I want to be the one for you to lead on." Chase said. This cause Kiriko to be overjoy. A few tears were in her eyes.

"That's so sweet Chase. I appreciate it." Kiriko said, as she hugged him tightly.

This is a sort of AU. Cause I haven't watch Kamen Rider Drive, so I don't understand their characters very well. But I hope you like it!
