"Jasmine! Jasmine! Slow down, please." Ban complained as he was being dragged around.

The female cop turned around and yanked her arm, which brought him closer.

"We still need to catch the criminal, so don't be lazy." she huffed, trying not to show her anger.

It was due to some ridiculous accident when catching the criminal that they ended up cuffing each other hands together instead of the criminal. Thus leading the criminal to escape.

While the key to unlocking the cuff fell into the drainage, they have no option but to be cuffed to each other until they are off-duty.

"Can we just leave it to Hoshi and the others to catch up to the criminal?" Ban reasoned.

"It's our fault for the criminal's escape. So we need to make up for it right? Isn't that what you always say?" Jasmine stated back.

Ban let out a sigh. But being cuffed like this make it so awkward. They weren't able to drive because according to Hoshi that it would not be safe.

Like always, Jasmine could read Ban's mind. She, herself, also let out a sigh.

"Fine. We can rest for a bit." She stated. Ban looked up at her.

"Really?" he asked, not believing what he heard.

"I'm pretty sure, like you said Hoshi and the others could deal with it." Jasmine repeated his phrase with her signature mischievous smirk.

"Ya-tahh!" Ban cheered, raising both of his arm in the air making Jasmine yelped in pain.

"We're still cuffed together, you know, be careful, please," she complained, rubbing her shoulder.

"Gomen," Ban said.

"Where do you want to go then?" Jasmine asked.

"Let's go for some food!" Ban recommended, pointing towards the nearby mochi stand.
Jasmine just nodded, and they walked side by side.

Surprisingly, Ban was willing to pay for all of the foods despite Jasmine's protest. He just waved it off and said she could return the flavor later.

By the end of the day, the return the DEKA BASE and met with the others.

"Where were you guys?" Hoshi frustratedly asked. He suspected Ban might have ditch duty but didn't expect Jasmine to play along.

"Gomen Gomen. There won't be a next time." Ban promised. Hoshi was about to continue but Tetsu intervened.

"Jasmine, here" Umeko headed them the key.
Ban and Jasmine almost forgot that the reason they wanted to quickly return was to uncuffed from each other.

"Arigato." Jasmine said and quickly uncuffed it.

"But it seem like we could leave you guys like that and neither would mine, ne." Sen reasoned.

"Yah! What you're talking about?" they both stated in sync.

"Sugoi! You're even in sync now." Umeko added fuel to the fire.

"Umeko!"

Umeko quickly hid behind Sen. The whole group then bursted out laughing.

Maybe...Just maybe....being cuffed together the whole afternoon wasn't so bad. Jasmine secretly thought while secretly glancing at Ban.
