"What are you doing Mako?" Ryunosuke asked, seeing her still sitting outside late at night. 

"Oh, I have just sewing something. Don't worry, you can head to bed." Mako told him. 

She continued to stitch the piece of the quilt before realizing that Ryunosuke had taken a seat next to her. He eyed her movements as she continued sewing. 

"You're sewing a quilt?" he asked. She just nodded. 

"Mhmm...the weather is getting colder. So I'm just planning to sew a big piece of quilt," she stated. Ryunosuke furrowed his eyebrow. 

"You know we can ask the Kuroko-san or Hikoma-san to get a thicker blanket if you are afraid of the cold." he reasoned. 

"Don't want to bother them. They are busy with tracking the Gedoshuu for us." Mako said. Ryunosuke nodded. 

"I guess you're right," he stated. 

Silence embraced between them. There was nothing but the sound of the wind at night. Ryunosuke could see Mako flinched a bit. 

"wait here," he told her. She looked at him, seeing him walking back to the dojo.

Ryunosuke came back later with 2 cups of hot chocolate and a big blanket. 

"here you go." Ryunosuke handed one cup to Mako. 

"Arigato," she said, surprised by his action. She took a sip and let out a sigh. 

"So good." she said. Ryunosuke chuckled at her. She glanced over at him. 

"What's wrong?" she asked. 

"No, nothing," he said. "Oh and here you go." He wrapped a blanket around her. 

"Oh no, you didn't have to," Mako said.

"No, I want to. We are teammates after all," he stated. He then sat back down at his original position. She secretly smiled. 

So he can be caring and very attentive. She stated in her mind. I guess my decision wasn't wrong. 

"You know Mako, you should teach me someday. I want to learn how to sew too," he stated, sipping his drink. 

"Sure thing. You want to make a blanket too?" She asked. 

"You could say that." He stated, trying to sound tough. Mako shook her head. 

"Alright. I can teach when we have time." 

They stay like that the whole night as Mako continued her sewing. It became a hobby of theirs to head out of the training garden and just sit there in silence while listening to the wind. 

Soon, Mako was done with the blanket and their little 'date' night ended. Although none of them admit it, they felt quite empty. 

On Christmas day, when everyone was handing out presents. Ryunosuke opened his and was surprised by what was inside. 

"Mako, this is?" he looked at her. 

She smiled warmly, "Surprise, eh?" 

He just could not hide his smile, "I keep it very very well!" and hugged it in his arms.
