"Mako! Mako!" he shook her. Mako slowly regained her consciousness. 

"Takeru?" she asked. He nodded, "Are you okay?" 

Mako slowly sits up, "I'm fine." She then looked around, "Where are we?" 

"We got sucked into that Youkai, remember?" Takeru reminded her. Mako tried to recall and then remembered. 

Flashbacks

"Oh, Mako! Welcome back!" Jii hugged Mako as she entered the mansion. 

"Hi, Jii-san. How have you been?" Mako asked as the kuroko pulled her one luggage back into her room.

"I've been good!" Jii smiled. Takeru then walked back from the garden. 

"Welcome back," he said, trying to keep his cold demeanor. 

"Long time no see, Takeru." Mako cheerfully smiled. Mako finally decided to move back to Japan to continue her teaching at her kindergarten. But she hasn't found a house yet so Takeru recommended her to stay at the Shiba mansion for a while until she found her dream house. 

"How your parents over there?" Takeru asked after they sat down. 

"Oh, they've been fine. Although they were a bit unwillingly to let me return here, they understood my decisions." Mako explained. Takeru nodded. 

"How your guitar lesson going?" Mako asked out of the blue which caught Takeru off guard.

"It's been great---but wait how did you know? I never told anyone." Takeru quickly covered up his nervousness and back to his "Tono" self. 

"You forgot to hide the guitar string." Mako chuckled pointing to the guitar string behind the shelf. Takeru eye-widened and coughed to cover up his embarrassment. 

"Oh...clumsy me," he stated, not looking into Mako's eyes. She just laughed. 

"Don't tell Genta and the others, please," Takeru told her. Mako tried to hold in her laughter and nodded. 

"Do you--wanna practice some movement later?" Takeru suggested trying to change the topic. 

"Sure. I'll beat you again this time." she confidently stated. 

"Not a chance," Takeru stated competitively. 

Just then, a kuroko came running in and showing Takeru what was on the news. 

"What is that?" Mako asked, "It doesn't look like a Gedoshuu" 

"Whatever it is. We have to go and stop it." Takeru stated. Mako nodded. 

When they arrived at the battlefield, they could see a strange-looking monster that kind of look like a spider. 

"Stop right there!" Takeru shouted. The monster turned back to them. And titled its head as it saw a bunch of people wearing black clothing pulling a white piece of cloth.

Ippitsu Sonjou 

 "Who are you guys?" the monster demanded to know. 

"Shinken Red, Shiba Takeru." 

"The Same Pink, Shiraishi Mako." 

"The samurai sentai authorized by providence...Shinkenger!"

"Going forth!" 

"Shinkenger? I thought my enemy was Ninninger. But oh well!" the monster stated and started attacking them. 

As they were battling a passerby got in their way, and in order to save that passerby the monster took that chance a sucked them in. 

End of Flashback

"We need to find a way out of here," Takeru stated, Mako, nodded in agreement. But there was nothing around them except some bicycle, cart, food truck. 

Mako tried to stand up and realized that her foot was injured. 

"Ouch!" she yelped. Takeru quickly caught her. Their face was inches apart. 

"Are you okay?" Takeru asked. 

"I'm fine...but I think my feet got injured, probably hit by something when we got sucked in. But I'll be fine." Mako winced. Takeru quickly turned around and offered his back. 

"I'm fine, Takeru. You don't have to." she said.

"Just get on. Beside...your life is in my hand and mine is in yours, remember?" Takeru reminded her. 

It was the same thing she told back on that island. "Alright," she said. 

As Takeru carried Mako on his back trying to look for a way out, he couldn't help but found himself enjoying having Mako this close. He doesn't know why yet...but he definitely won't think about it until they get out of this place. 

On the other hand, Mako was quite surprised to see Takeru changed in his personality. She could feel his warmth and it was something quite new. She also found that it was comforting to let him carry her around. But she knew they need to get out of here first before she dug deep in her thoughts. 

Suddenly without any signal, they felt a strong wind and it blew them out. They were free-falling from the sky. Mako shut her eyes tight as she held on to Takeru while Takeru quickly drew a kite symbol for him and Mako so they could land down safely. 

"Mako, we're back down," Takeru told her. She opened her eyes and tried to get off him but couldn't.

"Aren't we back down? Let's go find that monster and defeat it." Mako told him. 

"We don't need to." Takeru stated, Mako looked confused at his statement. He looked over at the distance and she followed his gaze. 

It turns out another group of sentai had already defeated the monster.

"I see...but I could still walk back...." Mako said. 

"It's fine. No arguing." Takeru stated without letting Mako protest and continued carrying her home.
