Yakumo & Kasumi | ❤️🩹 |
His blood was boiling and he didn't even know why. It's been 3 years since they broke up. It was him, who initiated the breakup, but why was he feeling this way when he saw her with another man.
Her bright aura and her radiant smile were even brighter than before. But sadly, it was no longer directed towards him. He glared at the man who is receiving all her attention. What was his name again?
Masumi. No. Kaito. Maybe not. At this point, he somehow just wanted to seize her hand and drag her out of there. Her cheek was slightly red, indicating that the alcohol was affecting her. His fist began to tighten itself when he saw the man placing their hand on her shoulder.
That's it! He stated in his mind before bolting up and dragging her out of there. Leaving his cousins behind.
"Yah! Yakumo, where are you going? We were supposed to stay hidden!" Kinji reminded him but Yakumo didn't care to listen.
"Kasumi-nee." he walked up to them and called her. Kasumi turned to look at him, maybe it was the alcohol that was affecting her, so she was just smiling at him.
"Ahh..Yakumo-kun, what are you doing here?" she asked. The man next to her also looked at him.
"We have to go!" he stated as he grabbed her hand.
"Eh, why?" she questioned his action. "I'm having a night out with Agri-san here." She pouted. Agri just chuckled, but Yakumo quickly broke the atmosphere.
"Fuuka needs your help!" he lied.
"Eh, Fuu-chan? Isn't she over there?" Kasumi pointed to her cousin.
"Shoot! She spotted us!" Nagi panicked.
"I already told you we can't hide anything from Kasumi-nee." Fuuka scolded at them.
Yakumo paused. Of course, she would know. She was the sharpest in all of them. He sighed before directing his attention back to Agri.
"Gomen, I think I'll have to cut your night short. She's at her limit. I'll take her home." Yakumo stated.
"I'm not at my limit!" Kasumi protested.
"Yes, you are. Now let's go" Yakumo stated, pulling her up before she could resist.
"Ahh matte! Agri-san, I call you tomorrow then!" she waved at Agri, who was just sitting there. He waved back and let out a smile after they left. So I was right, Kasumi-san. He still loves you.
Agri was about to leave when he met an angry familiar face.
"Found you." the person huffed at him. Agri looked up and eye-widened with fear.
"Look here, I can explain--I was actually helpi---" Agri tried to explain but got pulled by the ear.
"I don't care! You're doing all the laundry tomorrow!" the person stated and pulled him out of the bar.
"Ehhh! That's not fair, Eri! Eri! please let me explain"

Back at Yakumo and Kasumi....
"Let me go!" Kasumi complained, but Yakumo didn't listen. He was still dragging her down a familiar path.
"I said let me go!" she finally exploded, slipping her hand out. They both stood there in silence. Yakumo faced away from her.
"What's your problem anyway? I was enjoying my time with Agri-san, and you just had to barge in. Do you know how rude was that?" Kasumi scolded him.
No reply.
Tears started to form in the corner of Kasumi's eyes. "Answer me," she demanded.
"Because I don't want you to hang out with him!" Yakumo confessed, turning to face her.
Kasumi chuckled bitterly, "Who are you to stop me from hanging out with him?"
"I'm your cousin, of course! I'm worry for your safetiness." Yakumo argued back.
"Did you forget that we are ninjas? I could defend myself easily." Kasumi stated.
"Not with alcohol influence. No you can't." Yakumo bickered back.
Kasumi wanted to argue back but feel that it was no used, "you know what? Fine!" She stated and walked away.
"Where are you going?" Yakumo asked in concerned.
"Home." she simply replied.
"I'll walk you home." he offered.
"NO need. I can do it myself." Kasumi said.
"Kasumi-nee, please." Yakumo soften his voice a bit. Kasumi stopped dead at her track and turned around.
"Please what?" she asked. Yakumo was lost for words. He could see that she was now crying, despite how hard she try not to let the tears.
He walked up to her and try to wipe the tears away but she dodged and slapped his hand.
"I don't need your help." Kasumi sniffled, wiping the tears by herself.
"Kasumi-nee." he called her one more time. "I---"
"I'm sorry."
The wind blew between them as both stared at each other. Yakumo could sense Kasumi had somewhat calm down and decided to continue.
"I'm sorry about that day. I'm sorry for breaking up with you. I--I never really wanted to actually"
"But you still did." Kasumi interrupted him.
"I--Yes, I did. i was stupid and a coward. I was too bothered about everyone else outside of our family spreading rumours about us and our family. I was too prideful for thinking that breaking up would restore our family name."
Silence.
"I know it may sound like stupid reasons for breaking up, for not trying with you to overcome those malicious rumors. It hit me hard when I realize that I still love you. It hurt to see you smiling with Agri. I--" Yakumo stopped when he saw Kasumi looked away.
"Kasumi-nee?" he asked.
"I never knew you were more baka than Takaharu-kun." was all that she said.
"Kasumi-nee?" Yakumo called her one more time.
"I'm sorry. But I need time to think on my own. Good night, Yakumo. Thanks, I guess, for making sure I wasn't too drunk." she stated and walked away, not daring to look back. While Yakumo, could only look from afar, as the silhouette of the girl who still had his heard slowly fade into the dark.
