[1] TSUBASA & HOUKA

"Hou-nee, over here!" the man, in a white sweatshirt and blue jeans, waved to the woman, who just entered the cafe. She was dressed in a light beige color dress, with her signature bow tied on the side of her hair.

"Tsubasa-chan!" she waved back and walked toward the man.

"Gomen. Did I make you wait long? I had to drop Fuuka at our house. Kaa-san and Tou-chan wanted to hang out with her." she stated, as she sat down.

"It's fine. How is Fuu-chan?" Tsubasa asked.

"She's fine! Very naughty though." Houka complained.

"Well...I guess she got your gene." Tsubasa teased. Houka smiled back, "I guess so."

The waiter came back and took orders for their drinks. After the waiter left, they continued their conversation.

"Too bad, nii-chan tachi are all busy today." Tsubasa sighed. Houka nodded.

"Yeah. Since Hikaru-sensei and Urara-chan are traveling, Kai is busy with things in Infreshia. Nii-chan is on his business trip talking agreement about his farming products..." Houka listed out.

Tsubasa nodded. Before they could continue, their drink arrived.

Both sipped their own drinks.

"Maybe we should soon have a family reunion dinner. Only New Year & Christmas is not enough." Houka complained. Tsubasa chuckled at his sister's "never changed" state.

"Eh? Why are you laughing?" Houka asked. Tsubasa shook his head.

"Nothing. You're still the same, I guess, Hou-nee. Never changed." Tsubasa emphasized, teasing his sister.

"Eh? I've changed. Remember? After recovering from a vampire, I become 'Houka Version Up'." Houka stated and did her V-pose.

They both laughed. Then a silence embraced their conversation.

"Arigato ne, Tsubasa-chan." Houka suddenly murmured.

"Eh?" Tsubasa asked her in confusion.

"If you didn't awake me back then and didn't rescue me, I think I might have still be the Houka that only cause trouble and still living in a vampire for." Houka explained. Tsubasa eyed his sister carefully. He sighed, putting down his cup of coffee.

"You don't need to thank me for anything, Hou-nee. Isn't that what family for? You also been there for me when I used the forbidden magic. Or even when we first lose Kaa-chan. Everybody left to fight, but only you and I stay behind." Tsubasa smiled softly at his sister.

"I guess you're right. Family is the only thing that will never end." Houka smiled back.

"Oh, I just remembered. Fuu-chan's birthday is coming up soon, right? What should I get for her?" Tsubasa asked his sis.

"Hmmm? Anything is fine." Houka replied.

"Eh? That's means I could give her boxing gear?" Tsubasa hinted. He always wanted to train one of his nieces or nephews to be a future boxer like him. Although he knew some of them are still too young, he hoped one day it would come.

"Why don't you find a girlfriend, get married, give birth to a son or daughter, and then practiced boxing with them?" Houka teasing Tsubasa's single life. Many times Houka tried to set Tsubasa on blind dates, but it always failed. The majority of the times were Tsubasa's stubborn and picky type.

Houka guessed that Tsubasa is still trying to search for a girl like Rei. She didn't mind helping her little brother searching for it. Out of the siblings, she could relate to him the most since they were both the last one in their family members to be in a 'serious' relationship. Tsubasa is the only left who haven't create his own happy family.

Tsubasa looked at her, and Houka laughed it off. "I'm kidding. Sure. I guess I'll let you train Fuu-chan. Fuu-chan's tou-chan wouldn't mind. He wanted Fuu-chan to learn some self-defense."

Tsubasa smiled triumphantly.

"So, should I set you on another blind date then?" Houka questioned as Tsubasa let out a groan.

"C'mon, Hou-nee. I've been on so many that you set me up and it's troublesome." Tsubasa complained, but seeing Houka's pleading eyes. He gave in.

"Okay fine. Just one more. And if it doesn't work, Hou-nee you should give up." Tsubasa stated.

"Yahoo!" Houka cheered. She took another sip from her latte.

The two siblings sat there for the whole afternoon. They were lost in their fun conversation. The conversation filled with nostalgic memories. The times they fought together, cried together, laughed together. It was the most precious moment. Now they've all grown up and are too busy with their daily life, it felt good to just sit down and reflect. Like old times.

Oh, these precious sibling times.

Hola! What do you think? I've been re-watching Magiranger. And like always, I admired Tsubasa & Houka [brother & sister] relationship.

This would be the first one-shot out my siblings' time trilogy.

Can you guess the next sibling pair?

Til' next time,

Magi Magiro! Checkmate!
