Sunday morning could have been more cheerful if you weren't feeling so frantic. The crisp morning air made you shiver and pull your hands into your oversized sweater. "What do I do?!" You groan, head resting on Ace's shoulder as you both were at the lakeshore again.

It became a special place to both of you and would often end up there when you mindlessly walked around the campus grounds. The first time was when you and Ace found it; the rest of the time was when Kid would chase after you in a blinding rage.

You sighed at the memory and smirked. He had been dead set on killing you the entire week last week after your little...incident.

Ace grins, leaning his head sideways and resting it on top of yours. "Excited?" He muses, glancing down to see your reaction, and frowns after seeing your tensed expression.

"After that last date, I really don't want to screw up." You smile up at him, seeing his eyes widening and his lips curled back to fight back laughter. You snickered and touched your now fully healed eye, the eye patch was removed earlier and it didn't hurt anymore.

"You have any idea how hard it was to shower with a patch on?" You chuckle. Ace failed to hold in his laughter and had to cover his mouth to muffle it. You pouted at him with a childish glare.

He holds up his hands in defense but falls down on the ground laughing uncontrollably. You rolled your eyes with a small smile on your lips.

"I'm being serious, Ace!" You laugh, lightly hitting his arm as he clutched his chest trying to stop himself from hyperventilating. "What if I do something stupid again?!" You yell to the sky, because Ace was obviously no help right now.

"You never did anything stupid." Aze rumbles, smirking at the laughing young man beside you.

"Hey, Azazel, where have you been?"

"Shopping." He answers, voice full of sarcasm and you could almost see him roll his eyes at you.

You giggle. It's not like he could actually go anywhere on his own but he had been quiet yesterday. It made you wonder if he was just silently judging your friends the rest of the day.

Ace finally settled down and heavily exhaled in relief. His ribs must have hurt from all that laughing.

"Well don't worry too much, (Name)." Ace says this with a wide grin. "If I know my brother, he'll be the one worrying the entire date."

You immediately frown and poke your cheek. "Am I that bad of date material?" You joke. Ace shakes his head and positions himself beside you again, his head resting right on top of yours. You could feel his steady breathing as you press your body against his side.

"It took him a lot of confidence to finally ask you out." He murmurs, eyes slowly closing.

"What do you mean by finally?" You murmur as well, eye lids getting heavy from the bright sunlight reflecting from the lake water as it made you sleepy.

You were answered with silence.

After a moment, you move your head a little to see if Ace was asleep but found out that he wasn't. He was just staring at the water deep in thought. You decided to leave it alone and not push it.

By the time both stomachs screamed for food, you and Ace left the lake and headed for the school cafeteria.

The table you usually sat at had another occupant.

"Who is that?" You inquire, pointing at the direction of the handsome dark haired male wearing a fuzzy white hat with spots.

Ace looks to the direction of your finger and blinks. "I think that's the new guy Luffy was talking about." He shrugs. "Wanna go sit there or somewhere else?" He asks as he picked up two trays full of food. You scan the cafeteria while walking, holding your tray firmly, and spotting a familiar redhead sitting not too far away.

The other tables were full and you were not exactly comfortable sitting somewhere else. "Let's sit with him." You finally answer, head lowered so that your face would be covered by your hair.

Ace raised a questioning eyebrow and looked over to find Kid glaring at the new guy and (Name) from across the room. He frowns, understanding your concern and sits next to you.

"Hi, I'm (Name)." You smile at the new kid. His nose was buried in a medical book and slowly looks up to see you sitting in front of him.

"Law." He greets with a smirk and nods to Ace. "You're Ace, right? Luffy's brother?"

Ace grins proudly and nods. "Nice to meet you, Law." He greets back before glancing towards Kid's table. Law discreetly follows his gaze and frowns at you. "That guy over there looks ready to kill you." He comments, biting into an onigiri.

You let out a depressed sigh and slump down, trying your best to turn invisible from Kid's glare. Ace calmly and quietly starts to eat his lunch while taking a few glances at you to make sure you were alright.

You gingerly picked up a fork and started eating while still hiding from Kid. It was going okay until the sound of a chair skidding across the floor made you tense.

"He stood up." Law announces, eyes locked on his book with an annoyed look on his face. Maybe you should have spared him the trouble and sat somewhere else.

You force yourself to ignore the group approaching your table. Ace frowns while chewing, his eyes shadowed by his cowboy hat, while Law looks at you with slight concern.

"(Name)." Kid glowers at you. You bite your lip, resisting the urge to scream bloody murder. Damn this guy can hold a grudge!

You stayed silent. He stands behind you and picks you up by the back of your shirt collar, making you choke a bit, and spun you around to face him. His expression made it clear that he won't be very forgiving. Before you could even voice out a defense, Ace stands up abruptly and grabs Kid by the arm, hands ablaze, and had a fierce and fiery look in his eyes.

"Let her go, Eustass." He growled, his eyes full of anger.

Kid sneers at you then turned his attention to Ace. "What are you, her knight in shining armor?" He laughed briskly before scowling and releasing his hold on you, knocking off Ace's hand and shoving him.

"Don't try to be a hero, Portgas." He says, turning to you with an evil grin plastered on his face. "Or maybe I should call you Gol so that your little princess will know who you really are?" He smirks. You pale seeing Ace glare menacingly at him and his body engulfing in bright orange flames.

"Ace, wait, don't!" You scream.

You move out of the way as Ace tackled Kid to the ground and started punching him with his fire fists. "Ace! Stop!" You run over to the raven haired boy and touch his shoulder but pull away after feeling a burning pain on your palm.

He's really angry. Why is he so angry? What do I do?! You blow on your burned hand and frantically look around for help. Your eyes lit up after seeing a familiar straw hat and blonde walking through the cafeteria doors.

"LUFFY! SABO! HELP!" You hollered.

Killer, Heat, and Wire hissed out in pain after trying to get Ace off of Kid. Their clothes started to catch fire and they were rolling on the ground or patting the flames away with their hands. Panicking as the scene was getting out of hand, you move to grab his shoulders again, desperately ignoring the intensity of the heat and focused on freeing Kid.

Another pair of hands grab your wrists and pull you away. You gasp, looking over to see who it was.

"Luffy!" You beamed at the youngest brother. He was frowning unhappily and instantly pulled you into a hug, facing you away from Ace and Kid.

Sabo rushed over and grabbed Ace, putting him in a head lock. "Calm down!" He shouted as Ace tried to wriggle free from his grasp. He had a savage look in his eyes as he repeatedly elbowed Sabo in the ribs.

Kid was down on the floor with fire on his clothes and was howling in pain. Usopp, Chopper, and Zoro ran over to the scene and threw buckets of water on Killer, Wire, and Heat while Sanji put out the burning flames on Kid with a fire extinguisher.

You wanted to know if Ace was alright and moved to look, but Luffy hugged you tighter and placed a hand on your head firmly to lock you in place. He obviously didn't want you to see this.

A booming sound of doors opening echoed throughout the room and all eyes turned to Mr. Shanks, Ms. Nico, Mr. Mihawk, and Mr. Donquixote briskly walking through the crowd of students that watched the fight. You hug Luffy out of fear and bury your face in his shoulder. "Robin, take him to the clinic." Shanks ordered as she crossed her arms and sprouted feet from the back of the injured student.

Mihawk escorted the other three after her as Shanks frowns at the students. "Everyone go back to your rooms. Bring your lunches with you if you have to." He says before turning his attention to Ace. "Come with me, Ace." He added quietly and left the room with the guilty boy behind him.

Your fingers dig into Luffy's back as you hold back your urge to cry out. Remembering his sudden wild behavior after hearing the surname Gol made you cringe. "What will they do to him?" You whisper to Luffy as he gently strokes your hair in an effort to comfort you.

Doflamingo watched you for a moment then spotted Law walking towards him. The look in his eyes was all he needed to know what the boy wanted. He nodded with a smile and they both left the room, leaving you and your friends to go to your respective dorms.

Everyone stayed in your and Koala's room for the time being. All were worried about Ace and staying together was the best comfort. The room was uncomfortably silent as Chopper bandaged your burnt hands.

Sabo was cradling you in his arms and holding you tight as he whispered comforting words in your ear while you were crying on his chest. You mumbled endlessly about how it wasn't Ace's fault and that you were sorry this had happened.

The girls, except Koala, sat on the other bed with gloomy looks. Koala was scowling at the foot of your bed and muttering furiously of how she will knock the school down if the teachers decided to punish Ace for what he did. Luffy sat quietly beside Koala, legs crossed and facing you with a concerned expression.

Zoro and Sanji were frowning at each other, not from hatred but from an unspoken agreement with Koala's plan to destroy the school.

Chopper finishes bandaging your hand and nods in satisfaction.

"The burns are second-degree and it might take 2-3 weeks for the ointment to fully heal your hands." He reaches in his backpack and pulls out two tubes of burn ointment. "Put this on every morning after showering and every night before going to bed. Remember to keep your hands bandaged to prevent infection." He instructs, handing the tubes to Koala.

You nod and wipe the tears from the corner of your eyes with your arm and smile sweetly at the reindeer, "Thank you, Chopper."

He smiles sadly at you and hops down the bed. You glance around the room and see all eyes were on you, making you feel a bit embarrassed from crying so hard.

A certain pair of eyes caught your attention and you look up to meet Sabo's gaze. "Are you okay now?" He whispers.

You nod shyly and offer him a small smile. He smiles back and relaxes, leaning over and placing butterfly kisses all over your tear streaked cheeks. You couldn't help but giggle louder after each kiss.

Sabo smiles at you, relief washing over his face since you weren't so glum now. His eyes locked with yours before trailing down to your lips as he slowly came closer to you, making you blink in confusion. His soft lips met yours in a slow and passionate kiss.

You could feel your cheeks heat up and turn pink as you kiss him back. The kiss became a bit quicker and you gasp as you felt something run over your lower lip, then pushing past your lips and slithered its way into your wet cavern. Your senses melted away and you grab the front of his shirt, completely ignoring the burning pain of your palms as you fought his tongue for dominance.

"Umm—-" A voice pipes up from the room.

You gasp, pulling away from Sabo and stared at the confused rubber boy at the foot of your bed. "Should we leave or something?" He asks Sanji, earning a hard smack on the head by Koala.

"Why did you interrupt?!" She yells.

"Why didn't you guys remind me you were still in the room?!" You screamed in embarrassment, pulling the sheets over your head to avoid everyone's teasing smiles. You could hear Sabo chuckling which only made you more self-conscious.

Luffy began to panic as he heard you whimpering under the covers. "Wha—Hey, (Name), did I do something wrong?!"
