What about Sabo? 1/2
*Sabo's POV*
-flashback-
He was there at the cafe, signaling for the fishtailed waitress that he needed some things to buy, of course he would have just told her if it weren't for the fact that he was underwater.
She smiled and led him to the storage room in the back and picked up a handheld transceiver and ordered for the building to rise. A gurgling roar could be heard from outside in response to the maiden's command.
He didn't question what though, mostly because he can't.
Sabo looked over to a nearby window and saw that the view was changing. The windows reflected bright light from the morning sun and portrayed a clear view of the forest.
"Just write them down here, sir." said the mermaid as she handed him a notepad and pen. Sabo nodded and took the pen, remembering the ingredients that he had memorized from the note and scribbled it down.
He gave it to her before she left the room, now sitting on a floating bubble cushion.
Across the storage room, just opposite from the back door that leads to the Northern forest, was a porthole viewing the lakeshore where he had left (Name).
He walked over and leaned in to get a better glimpse of the beauty that he became particularly fond of.
She was just sitting there on the shore beside his shirt. Her face looked like in a mix of emotions. Sabo immediately frowned, fingers tapping on the glass monotonously.
"Hello." A female voice greeted from across the room.
He spun around and saw a woman not much older than he was. Her strawberry blonde hair was held back with a headband, showing her blue eyes hidden beneath her glasses perfectly. She seemed to be stern from the way she was looking at him, however, Sabo didn't mind.
"Hello, can I help you?" He asks politely smiling at her. She relaxes a bit and opens the back door as she looks at him. "I need to have a private conversation with you." She says.
He gives her a doubtful look before she smirks, crossing her arms on her chest. "It concerns with your friend." She added. It was that simple sentence that got him moving out the door.
Neither of them spoke to each other as they walked deeper into the woods. The air was getting frosty and it made him worry about (Name) for some reason. Maybe he should have told her that he was going somewhere?
"Excuse me, miss," Sabo spoke up, cutting off the silence. "May I know your name?" He looks around and notices a figure following them from the trees. "Also, would you mind telling me where we are going?"
He stops in his tracks and frowns at her. His hands blazed an orange hue as he snaps his fingers to produce flames.
The woman sighs exasperatedly and turns to face him with a scowl. "And here I thought you'd be a challenging catch." She remarks.
A pair of heavy hands grasps his wrists and pins him down, face hitting the dirt. His cries were muffled by a gag shoved in his mouth as the woman reaches out and blows into his face. Something translucent and round caught his attention.
"Sleep tight." She smirked as she watches the boy pass out.
-end of flashback-
He saw nothing but darkness.
He couldn't move around but he could feel his body.
Where am I? Sabo wondered. The darkness was endless as he walked forward towards a familiar voice in the shadows. It wasn't soothing, to say the least, but it was his only guide.
"Wake up..."
A small white light appeared and he started walking towards it, stopping just in front of the open doorway.
He could feel the animosity just beyond that brightness. It was eating him, surely enough it wasn't heaven.
No, it was far from that.
"Wake up.."
He didn't want to go out of the darkness.
"Wake up."
But what if you were in danger?
"Wake up!"
Just thinking about you in pain made his stomach twist in anger.
"DAMN IT ALL JUST WAKE UP ALREADY FOR FUCK'S SAKE!!!"
He felt a stinging slap on his cheek and his eyes snap open from the shock. His arms were behind him, bounded by thick ropes, and his mouth was still gagged. His vision was fuzzy but he could make out two figures in the room with him.
"I should've done that ages ago. Geez..."
Sabo looks up at his captors. They were all frowning at him displeased.
There was that woman with the glasses and there was a man in the room, the one that struck him, and he had long braided hair and dark skin.
"So what's the plan?" The dark-skinned man asked the woman. She pushes her glasses up in a scholar-like manner.
"We bring him back." She responds.
"BRING HIM BACK?! We just caught him!" The man snaps.
"He isn't our objective to begin with." She informs him calmly. "We just needed him away from the girl and let Lucci take care of her. Whether or not he succeeds in capturing her, we need to release him."
The dark-skinned man just scoffs and glares at Sabo. He glares back.
Who is Lucci?
His eyes widen as he remembers that you were now all alone.
Is he going to hurt (Name)?!
Anger boiled up inside him and he wanted to use that anger to burn the building down to the ground, along with the two jerks that brought him in it.
He squirms in his chair and, after a couple of minutes of struggling, fails to conjure even a spark of fire.
He huffs and starts rocking the chair side to side.
What's going on?
The man and woman just snicker at his futile efforts of escape.
Why can't I use my powers?!
Sabo glares openly at them as they sneer. The dark man punches him in the stomach, making him grunt in pain from the sudden strike.
"Stupid boy, you can't use your powers anymore." He laughs, punching Sabo in the face this time. "You're defenseless against us!"
The woman kept on a straight face and just watches Sabo as the man relentlessly beats him senseless.
He was ruthless with his prisoner and showed no mercy. He grew out claws and fangs and started to assault the boy in a bloodthirsty rage.
Blood was starting to drip down his face, his body limped to the side. He was still breathing but hoarsely. "You little weakling," The man sneered at Sabo, grabbing his hair and throwing him across the room.
The impact with the wall broke the chair into splinters and Sabo coughed up a pool of blood as he tried to sit up.
(Name), please be alright...
