Thanos is back, only from a different time. The two Nebula's from two different times switched places. The Nebula from 2014 went back to 2023 with the Avengers to bring her father and his ship to the present time. He knows about their plans. He knows what happens to him in the future. He believes it's his destiny to collect the stones. The Avengers are the one thing that stand in between him and success.

The Avengers are scattered around the broken base.

Bruce tries his best to hold up a large rock so he doesn't get crushed. Rhodes quickly escapes his suit to help Rocket. Scott finds himself small once more and helps them escape the flood.

Clint gets knocked down to the lower level with the glove. He tries to find a way out, but hears something. He's not alone. He locks an arrow and fires it down the hallway. The light on the arrow shows a group of aliens rushing towards him.

Meanwhile, Thanos beams down from his ship. He steps foot onto the broken base and admires his surroundings. He's joined by his daughter, and tasks her with the mission of retrieving the stones. He plunges his sword into the earth. He takes off his helmet and rests it on the other blade. He takes a seat... and waits.

Thor gazes down at him from the high ground. He watches Thanos sit. He watches Thanos wait.

When the explosion hit, Lauren had created a forcefield bubble around her and Steve. She keeps her eyes closed and doesn't intend to open them. Steve gently lifts her chin up so she looks at him. Once looking into his eyes, she drops the forecefield.

They find Tony laying on his back with his eyes closed. Lauren gently nudges him with her foot to wake him up. Tony gasps, but gets back on his feet. The three manage to find Thor, who still watches over Thanos. They make their way to the edge to see the purple man.

" What's he been doing?" Tony asks.

" Absolutely nothing," Thor responds.

" Where are the stones?" Steve asks.

" Somewhere under all this," Tony responds.

Lauren can feel the presence of the stones, but it's faint. She feels them connected to someone familiar.

" Hawkeye," She says, " Thanos doesn't have them."

" So let's keep it that way," Steve says.

" You know it's a trap, right?" Thor asks.

" Yeah... I don't much care," Tony responds.

" Good. Just as long as we're all in agreement," Thor says as his eyes start to glow.

The sky begins to glow in color. Clouds roll in and lightning strikes as thunder rumbles. The lightning strikes Thor. His hair and beard now braided, his body in his Asgardian armor with Stormbreaker and Mjolner in his hands.

" Show off," Lauren says.

She keeps her eyes fixated on Thanos as she uses her powers to conjure her bo staff. She unlocks it so she's left with two batons and straps them to her back.

" Copy cat," Thor responds.

" Let's kill him properly this time," Lauren says.

The four Avengers make their way down below. One step at a time and completely synchronized, they walk up to the seated Mad Titan. Thanos gives them a half hearted smile.

" You could not live with your own failure, " He starts, " Where did that bring you? Back to me. I thought by eliminating half of life... the other half would thrive. But you've shown me... that's impossible. And as long as there are those that remember what was... there will always be those that are unable to accept what can be. They will resist."

The four Avengers stalk the Titan. They all position themselves around him, and Lauren stands directly in front of him.

" Yep,  we're all kinds of stubborn," Tony quips.

" I'm thankful, " Thanos chuckles, " Because now... I know what I must do. I will shred this universe down to its last atom. And then... with the stones you've collected for me, create a new one, teeming with life that knows not what it has lost but only what is has been given. A grateful universe."

As he speaks, he puts on his helmet and picks up his sword.

" Born out of blood," Steve says.

" They'll never know it, " Thanos says, " Because you won't be alive to tell them."

Before anybody can move, or even think about attacking, Lauren pushes her palms to the ground and quickly waves them to her sides. Just then, everything stops. The Avengers all stuck in place... everybody except the Mad Titan and the witch.

Thanos chuckles as he looks at her.

" Same move... different time. Have you not learned?" He taunts.

Lauren doesn't respond. Instead, she marches up to Thanos and gives up a straight uppercut to the jaw. She sends him flying several hundred feet in the air. She jumps up above him and kicks him back down to the ground with all her strength. When he lands, he creates a crater in the ground. When she lands, she lands in the famed super hero pose. When she looks up at Thanos, her eyes glow a menacing gold as her fist fires up in flames. She lets her emotions get the best of her and goes in for the obvious attack. She charges towards Thanos, but this time, he's prepared. He blocks her attack with his sword by twirling it, then using it to knock her back. He sends her back a few thousand feet, and the spell breaks.

When time resumes, the three Avengers notice that Thanos is in a different spot. None the less, they attack.

" Did your wife stop time again?" Tony asks as he blasts Thanos with his repulsers.

" Probably!" Steve says as he hits Thanos with his shield.

Even without their strongest weapon, they fight the Titan. They give it their all. Their motivation is to keep Thanos away from the stones, and that's exactly what they'll do.

Clint fends off the rest of the aliens, and is greeted by Nebula. He hands her the glove, but doesn't realize he gave it to the wrong Nebula. Gamora from a different time tries to reason with her sister, but it ends with modern day Nebula killing her past self to safe her sister.

Lauren groans in pain as she finally gets herself off the ground. She shakes off the headache and prepares herself to fight once more. She looks back at the three Avengers, and doesn't see a pretty sight. Thor gets punched over and over again and then tossed aside like garbage. Thanos steps on his chest and continues to punch and punch and punch. Thor tries to summon Stormbreaker, but Thanos only uses that to try and plunge it into his chest.

In a momentous moment, Mjolnir gets picked up and thrown at Thanos. It hits him and boomerangs back to the person who threw it, which turns out to be none other than Captain America himself.

Both Lauren and Thor smile at this. Thor knew all along he could, and Lauren is proud of her husband. He's worthy.

Steve fights Thanos with not only his shield, but with a weapon of Asgard. Thanos tries to attack, but Steve hits Thanos in the jaw with the hammer. Steve throws the shield and then the hammer, the echo booming and making Thanos stumble. Steve lands punch after punch. Throw after throw, hit after hit. Steve summons down lightning and strikes the Titan.

Steve's victory is short lived, because as soon as he misses a punch, Thanos grabs him by the throat and slams him to the ground.

Lauren begins to panic. She sprints into the battle in an attempt to save her husband. Steve gets back up and dodges Thanos' attacks. Thanos manages to cut Steve's thigh with his sword.

Lauren jumps up into the air and lands in front of her husband so he's behind her. She releases all of her rage. She hits Thanos with her powers... but they're different. Each blast is a different color.

First red.

Then orange.

Then yellow.

Then green.

Then blue.

Then purple.

The colors of all six Infinity Stones.

She manages to blast Thanos back. She wounds him. And while she may be strong... Thanos acted quick. His sword cuts both of her arms, only deep enough to draw blood. As she cries out in pain, Thanos kicks her back. She feels the pain, she feels the bruises forming.

Steve tightens his jaw and runs towards the Titan once more. He manages to hit him in the face with the shield, but gets knocked back once more. As Steve tries to get up, Thanos walks to him. Thanos tries to hit him with his sword, but Steve blocks it with the shield. Over and over Thanos attacks and Steve blocks until there's only half a shield left as his wife is forced to watch in agony.

Lauren tries to get up, but groans in pain. Her arms, as well as the rest of her body.

Thanos knocks Steve back into the debris. With a smile on his face, he feels accomplished. Broken and nearly beaten, Steve rolls over onto his side an attempts to catch his break.

" In all my years of conquest... violence... slaughter... it was never personal. But I'll tell you now... what I'm about to do to your stubborn... annoying little planet... I'm gonna enjoy it... very very much," Thanos says.

His army beams down from his ship, the numbers being somewhere in the thousands. They hungrily await for their master's orders.

Steve sees this an sighs. He knows he can't take them all... but hell if he won't try. He looks over to his wife and sees her struggling, writhing in pain. That was all the motivation he needed. With shaky legs, Steve manages to stands up. He groans in pain, and tightens the strap of his shield with shaky hands. He sees the aliens both in the sky and on the ground. He sees how hilariously out matched he is, but he doesn't care.

Steve walks closer to Thanos, once again preparing to fight. He prepares himself to fight, not only for the good of the people, but for the women he loves most in this world. He only stops when he hears something in the coms. He puts his finger up to his ear to try and hear better, and he hears three words that allow him to let out a sigh of relief.

" On your left."
