i'm cutting it a bit close, but i've finally figured out my entry for stvrange's graphic contest. happy birthday to you and alma in advance, mitchie. i just wanted to say a few things before i submit my entry *officially*: this will be a rare sappy park moment, so everyone save for mitchell is free to scroll on to the graphics themselves.

mitchell, we've been friends for a few years now, and you were in fact one of the first people to make me feel welcome on this app. (you might not remember the whole "cello" thing, but i still do, and it still makes me smile four years on.) we've gotten much closer in the past eighteen months, and for that, i am insanely grateful. you have both looked out for me and looked after me; you have lovingly listened to me go on a thousand tangents about a thousand different things; you have talked me down as well as lifted me up when i need it most. most importantly, you have provided me a source of milfs, dilfs and fictional parental figures for my characters (/lh. but we all know that if you were trapped in a burning building and so was kaz vizsla, i would be making the oh-so-tough decision to continue the vizsla bloodline in your name.)

FDAJGSJH what i mean to say is, i appreciate our friendship so, so much. more than i could possibly put into words, i think. you are so kind and generous and loyal and i can only hope i've been as good a friend to you as you have been to me. if not, here's to another year and another chance for me to be the friend you deserve!

we begin with deface. i'm a proud harvey dent/two-face stan as well as a mitchell stan and it's pretty obvious by how hyped i am for the upcoming fic. this first part of the entry is a screencap (?) edit which is a two-face edit i repurposed for this contest. thomas gibson!harvey is such a great fancast and, paired with paget brewster? nothing i want to say is age-appropriate so i shall say nothing at all.

as well as this edit, i've made you two covers for deface.

a) this simple manip-ish (real technical, i know) cover. in my head, it makes a lot of sense; harvey and clarice are at the centre and in the background on their respective sides are two-face and batman. at the forefront is gotham, because at their cores that's what matters most to harvey and clarice. gotham. how they go about demonstrating that, of course, is a whole other story.

b) this comic cover, because it's my brand and i couldn't resist. harvey and two-face are at conflict here, and clarice is in the middle, the obstacle to both identities' goals. to harvey, clarice and his relationship with her will always compete with his ambition to save gotham; to two-face, clarice will always be what stops him from destroying it. yes, you also get a free analysis of a fic that hasn't even come out yet 😁😁

next up, we have these two psyche comic covers. zatanna is used as ana in the first one, whereas i defected to lois lane in the second since she fit my vision better. anyway, i don't have much to say about these two because again, my thoughts on strangetasia (which remains the best ship name of all time, by the way) are not appropriate for all audiences.

second-to-last, a cover for tesselate. wow, look, another milf...👀👀. in seriousness, mitch, you know how much i adore stella (in each and every one of her incarnations, especially the ones where she serves as literally the only positive maternal figure si has ever had) as well as her relationship with bruce. i can't wait to see what you do with that in tesselate.

and last, but not least... we return to our roots. truculence or, more accurately, dilfs. just kidding. i of course mean you, me, and bo-katan. (and maybe fallon when she's not off falling in love with terrorists plural.) i've always adored your portrayal of bo-katan and i think it's through bo-katan that our friendship properly began. i have mixed thoughts on the star wars fandom as a whole but our little pocket of the galaxy, with bo-katan, kaz, sara, din, grogu, fallon, lux and calla (and of course, elio) will always hold a special place in my heart. i hope it holds one in yours, too!
