This chapter and the next three will kinda be short bc it's just explaining how each of them got the letter. And I am mixing Numbuh 5 in because they did get married in the future. I also am aware that their minds got erased from the KND since they grew up. But more will be explained later.
Hoagie was working a late one, after all one of the top scientists didn't believe in sleep. Unless it was absolutely needed of course. His wife, Abby did everything she could to get him to sleep. Food sure did help for the most part, but then he complained that he couldn't sleep. Abigail huffed in annoyance as she woke up to the sound of metal churning.
She looked at the clock and saw it was early, too early. She didn't have to go to work for another 2 hours, and the police force is certainly something you need to stay awake for. Abby sighed and got out of bed, ignoring a slight pain from her ribs as she did so. It's been going on for a while, but Abby was tough. She wasn't about to let some stupid pain get in the way of what she loves doing most.
She then went downstairs and made her husband's favorite breakfast: chilli dogs. Well it wasn't breakfast but it sure did lure her vampire of a husband out of his lair. She smiled warmly as he came running up the stairs from the basement, or his lab as he calls it.
"Hey hot stuff, how's that whatchamacallit you've been working on coming along?" Abby asked as her husband bit into a chilli dog hungrily.
Hoagie huffed and shook his head, waving his hand.
"Oh 's oming 'long awight!" He said with his mouth stuffed.
Abigail sighed and shook her head chuckling. She checked the time once more and sighed again. She figured that if she was up this early then she'd have to go to the department and work on some shooting exercises. Hoagie saw her frown and cleaned himself up before going to his wife and wrapping his arms around her.
"You should go," Hoagie murmured while kissing the top of Abbys head.
Abby smiled and kissed Hoagies lips, wrapping her arms around his neck. They parted slowly and Hoagie walked his wife to the door. Hoagie kissed Abbys forehead as she stepped out the door.
"Abby will see you later tonight babe," Abby said pecking him on the lips once more.
"I love you Abby," Hoagie called while Abby walked to the car.
"Abby loves ya too honey!" She called as she then sped down the road. Hoagie smiled at his wife's antics and went to step inside.
Though as he was doing so a rumpled sound and something under his foot stopped him. He looked down and saw it was a letter.
"Who sends letters nowadays?" He mumbled before grabbing it and going inside.
Hoagie was itching to go work on his project but something about the strange letter unnerved him. It was addressed to him and Abby, but it showed no sender. Maybe the government finally discovered his talents and wanted him to work with them? No, as much as he wanted that he doubted it would happen. He debated on waiting for Abby to read with, but he just couldn't stand the suspense.
It read,
Dear Mr&Mrs. Gilligan,
There has been something terrible going on and we need you and your team to help. Of course you guys were kids, but surely your team skills have not faded away, yes? This is an opportunity you can't miss, both of you. All of you. We need you and your team here 7:00 a.m. sharp, Sector V. Oh but of course you don't remember, but that's not gonna be a problem...

Hoagie was so confused, what was going on? And what was...Sector V? Surely he would remember something if it were that important, right? The name certainly does ring a bell. He decided that he'd tell Abby when she got home. She would definitely know something about these things...
