This is really simple to understand as this is what we are seeing all around us for the last few months. All of us went through the hardships due to the pandemic but had anyone thought that people will leave their humanity at bay in order to sustain their life for one more day.

Tough times teach the best, but good or bad? That completely depends on the student i.e. us humans and from what I have seen so far most of them are the worst students. I never imagined anything of this sort will happen but this lockdown & pandemic time had left me in shock, each and every day.

I just want this world to become a sane place, not even good for whatever time that is left till the extinction of mankind, because from where I can see there will be no social animals in nearby future. All that will be left will be only animals and predators as they will have cease to become social.

I know this can never be achieved but still I just want to be a naive girl who hopes for a better world one day.

Seeing that one-year-old,
Who doesn't know the world which exists out of his house.

I smiled,
Seeing that two-year-old,
Who longs to see the world, out of the confines of his house again.

I smiled,
Seeing that three-year-old,
Who now conceded to play with dolls and cars rather than friends.

I smiled,
Seeing that four-year-old,
Who now learned to eat vegetables with the same zest of chocolate.

I smiled,
Seeing that five-year-old,
Who now remembers to wash everything before touching.

I smiled,
Seeing that six-year-old,
Who craves to ride his bicycle in the middle of the road but learned to get settled with an Xbox instead.

I smiled,
Seeing that seven-year-old,
Who now remembers to wear a mask even before opening the door.

I smiled,
Seeing that eight-year-old,
Who now knows the full form of PPE kit before the full form of UN.

I smiled,
Seeing that nine-year-old,
Who now instruct everyone to wash their hands before entering the house.

I smiled,
Seeing that ten-year-old,
Who saw deaths of ample of people as a regular occurrence.

I smiled,
Seeing all these people,

Who now lost their fear of death,

Who now compromised with their fates,

Who now made themselves competent of miseries.

Who now got tougher by losing a loved one every now and then.

Who now adapted to live in captivity of their house with empty pockets.

Who now has the aim to pass a day alive.

Who now understand to love and live the present, each and every moment we are blessed with.

Who now realized the importance of their family when one by one every outsider left their sides.

Who now gets the time to nurture the nature which upheld their lives.

Who now started standing for wrong in this society which persisted for ages around them.

Who now shows their true self inside the house, beating the mother, abusing the partner, raping the kid.

Who makes the proverb " An idle man is devil's workshop " apt in each and every aspect.

I smiled,
Seeing that no one is safe nither inside the house nor outside the house.

I smiled,
Seeing the world is getting better and worse all the same.
