Alice cradled the small giggling and gurgling girl in her arms as Jasper hovered over her keeping an eye on his daughter. Harley's bright blue eyes wandered over to Jasper a large smile forming on her pudgy face. "Da-da!"
The Cullen family turned to Jasper who had a huge smile on his face, little Harley was always so full of love and happiness which wore off on the empath, but this joy was all his own for Harley had said her first word, her name for him.
"She's learning quite quickly." Carlisle observed, everyone knew it was true, but Harley was just hitting the age of three and with the estimated time of her being out in the woods, her brain was developing quickly.
Emmett quickly swooped in and picked up his little niece and hugging her. It was an odd sight, such a large and strong man such as Emmett holding such a tiny and delicate toddler. "Here you go princess, just for you!" Emmett cooed and whipping a stuffed wolf out from behind his back. The little girl squealed in happiness while the other vampires glared at their brother, all except Alice, she knew the fate of her daughter.
Harley grabbed the stuffed animal and held it to her tightly, she held it in her pudgy hand and flew her arms around laughing, all the Cullens smiled at the youngest, she brought them all a sense of normality.

|AGE FOUR|
The small pitter patter off feet could be heard by everyone in the house, every night for the past few weeks Harley had been having nightmares. It pained the Cullen family to see their little light in such pain.
"Daddy?" Harley's small voice came from the bottom of the stairs, everyone was sat in the living room talking, but all their eyes went to the little girl. Edward was quick to invade the younger girls mind and sighed, "Nightmare." He confirmed.
Sticky tears fell down Harleys rosie cheeks as she clung to the wolf stuffed animal, it had quickly become her favorite and she slept with it every night. "What's wrong, princess?" Jasper asked softly walking up to his daughter. He bent down infront of his daughter, her small frame was shaking in fear and a fresh batch of tears fell from her eyes.
Without answering her dad, Harley wrapped her arms around her dad and sobbing into his hard shoulder. He picked her up, rubbing her back up and down trying to soothe his little girl. Jasper brought his daughter back up to her room, placing her on her pink princess bed and wrapping her up in the pink blankets. "Daddy, you stay." The girl said, her voice shaking. Jasper nodded and laid on the small bed beside his daughter and holding her close, sending her waves of calmness so she'd fall back asleep.

"First day of kindergarten!" Alice squealed, everyone was standing around and smiling as Alice took many pictures of Harley as it was her first day of kindergarten.
"Mommy I don't want to go." Harley pouted. Alice sighed and bent down infront of the young girl, dressed in a pair of overalls, a pink t-shirt and a pink cardigan, Alice made sure her little girl looked beautiful for her first day of school. "What if no one likes me?" She asked quietly playing with her small fingers.
"Thats nonsense Harley!" Alice exclaimed, she never wanted her little girl to think such things. "But-" Rosalie cut off her niece she absolutely adored. "Harley Rose Hale, you are the most beautiful girl to walk this earth and everyone is going to love you." Harley looked up to her aunt and gave her a large hug.
Emmett, Carlisle, Esme and Edward all hugged the youngest family member before Jasper and Alice walked her to the garage and buckled her into her car seat.

"Mommy! Daddy!" Harley had quickly spotted her parents, running up to them with wide arms. Jasper and Alice both bent down and enveloped their daughter in a group hug.
"How was school princess?" Jasper asked his daughter. "It was so much fun! I made lots of new friends, and we had snack time, and nap time, and story time, I also got to draw pictures and I drawed a picture for you!" The young girl rambled as her parents led her to the car.
"It's drew sweetie, not drawed." Alice said laughing slightly at her daughters excitement. Harley made a face, trying to memorize the word she always had trouble with. "Right, drew." She said as Jasper buckled her car seat up.
The two parents smiled happily as they listened to their daughter go on and on about her first day of kindergarten, only to hear it again twenty minutes later when she was perched on Emmetts lap, telling her aunt, uncles and grandparents all about her day.
"Do we get to see this drawing?" Esme asked sweetly, Harley gasped forgetting she hadn't showed them her master piece yet.
The small girl flung herself off her uncles lap and ran upstairs where her backpack was. Grabbing the drawing from her bag and rushed down the stairs and stood in front of her family, the picture tucked behind her back securely. "Ready?" She asked excitedly, bouncing on the heels of her feet. Everyone nodded and she whipped the paper out from behind her back showing them proudly.
On the paper was a series of stick figures. Paired together was a stick-woman was blonde hair and a larger stick-man with black hair, Harley explained it was Rosalie and Emmett. Another pair was Esme and Carlisle, then Jasper and Alice. "Sweetie who's that uncle Edward is with?" Alice asked.
"Oh! Thats the girl uncle Edward is meant to be with, her name's Bella." Harley shrugged her small shoulders, she often dreamt of her uncle finding a beautiful girl named Bella. "And who are you standing with, is that a wolf?" Emmett smirked looking at the drawing.
"Yeah! He's the wolf I keep seeing in my dreams!" The girl said excitedly, the group all shared a knowing look.
Alice had often gotten visions of her daughters feature, she was meant to be with one of the strongest shape-shifters in the pack.
Paul Lahote.
