It was all I could hear. I ran as fast as I could but I couldn't. The thing was getting close, fast.

I didn't want to die to a hybrid. I wanted to be back home with my mommy. I wanted to go back and play with my big brother. I wanted my dad to be nice again but that wouldn't happen. 

I whimpered as I held my cut hand that my daddy made.

I ran quickly until I felt someone heavy tackle me. I squeaked in surprise and whimpered as I saw the red glowing eyes of the thing. 

Mom always said they were nice and would help me but my daddy said they would help me if I wanted to die. I don't want to die like mommy and big brother.

I closed my eyes as I let tears fall. The hybrid snickered and licked the blood off my face.

"Poor 'tasty' child. Why are you here in the first place?" he asked in a sickening way.

I gulped as I cowered down after feeling the sandpaper like tongue, showing he was a leopard hybrid .

"I-I was t-trying to g-ge-get to t-t-town," I squeaked as I opened my eyes.

He snickered darkly.

"Why would you like to go to town? Wouldn't you like to stay here with me?" he asked.

I shook my head quickly, making the hybrid growl in anger.

I cowered down in fear.
