ALISS KADE HAD A SIMPLE LIFE. She lived in a cute house with her boyfriend, Ivan, of three years in a quiet town in England, she had a good job and her best friend had told her that it was distinctly possible that Ivan was planning to get a ring and propose soon. She finally had a good relationship with her parents after nearly a decade and a year and a half away from home. She was halfway through her degree and though it was definitely stressful, she was happy.

THOUGH SHE WAS EXTREMELY SUPPORTIVE and always showed interest, Aliss had never thought much of Ivan's love of astronomy that had stemmed from his lifelong love of Star Wars. He enjoyed spending the evenings sitting out on their back porch with his telescope and admiring the stars. Even if she didn't understand most of the words he used when describing the stuff in space, she would always listen intently. And the prints that he sometimes made of the photos he'd taken that they hung on their walls were really, really pretty.

EVERYTHING CHANGED WHEN IVAN DRAGGED Aliss out of bed one night to watch a meteor shower. Well, what really changed everything was the one they saw that came closer to them than any they'd ever seen. Sure that it was just over the hill, Ivan dragged Aliss to the car and they drove to where the meteor had landed. Aliss half-expected not to be able to find it, that they'd be up half the night chasing the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow, but they actually found it. They actually found the crater.

IN HINDSIGHT, ALISS REALLY SHOULDN'T have touched it. This thing was from space, which she knew was full of all sorts of radiation and other things they didn't understand, even if it hadn't somehow done what it had, it could have been really harmful. But instead of just feeling a rock that had been in space, Aliss blinked and she was in a totally different place. A totally impossible place.

WHEN ALISS OPENS HER EYES, SHE IS IN what can only be a Jedi Temple. She doesn't know nearly enough about Star Wars to be able to navigate this world, but if she has any hopes of surviving, any hope of getting through this alive, she must remember everything that Ivan had told her about his favourite movies. Even as someone who looks too much like her boyfriend seems intent on killing her and a boy she knows will one day become one of the evilest people in the galaxy makes her heart flutter.

this book is the first in a series! This book will follow the prequel trilogy and later books will follow the other trilogies and some other fun things like The Clone Wars and possibly even Andor! As expected (or maybe not) by the premise of this book, I will be making some fun changes to Star Wars canon, going a little au. So, with that in mind, if you see something that contradicts canon, it's probably supposed to but I am, of course, always willing to clear up any confusion if you drop your question in a comment.
