TEN 'BISEXUAL' CELEBRITIES YOU DIDN'T KNOW WERE BISEXUAL
Fake it 'til you make it, I guess.

9. CRUELLA QUEEN

Starlet and singer Cruella Queen is not one to shy away from making headlines in her five years since joining Hollywood. Her coming out post on Instagram touched hearts for those who believed her, and many celebrity coming outs since have cited Queen's was a reason they felt safe doing so. But there's no evidence to suggest Queen has ever been part of the LGBTQ+ community, despite her being a so-called inspiration to others. Every song she sings uses either you or he/him pronouns, reflecting an absence of women romantically involved in her life.
Queen is frequently seen on the arm of on-again-off-again boyfriend, Ritchie Mendoza. When she isn't making headlines for her stints in rehabilitation centres, she's making headlines with Mendoza, for better or worse at any given moment they're together. The two are seen either messily arguing, or ferociously kissing, and there appears to be no in between—no women in Queen's sights, either. Though she is known to sample chardonnay rather than same sex relationships.
Similar to others on our list, Queen is an active ally to the LGBTQ+ community when she's not under 24 hour surveillance. Her hard-earned money is split between funding her rehab visits and donating to LGBTQ+ nonprofits. During the month of June, she is outspoken about LGBTQ+ rights around the world and frequently fights right-wing conservatives on X when they disagree with her opinions on what equality should look like and how pride should be celebrated. Queen is never one to shy away from being loud and her social media accounts showcase that.
Since her shot to fame, Queen has always been pinned as the girl who kissed a woman once for fun and decided that made her bisexual, and nothing we've seen about her has done anything to deter that feeling of false claims of bisexuality.

7. STEVIE
[PHOTO: Singer-songwriter Stevie Kealoha with Formula One racer boyfriend Brendon Ellis at the 2023 Grammy Awards, where her and her band MARS would take home seven Grammys, including Album of the Year.]
Outspoken about her supposed bisexuality, Stevie Kealoha, better known by the mononym Stevie, frequently attends LGBTQ+ events hosted by nonprofits like the Trevor Project and likeminded foundations. Despite this, the only public relationships that Kealoha has been in have been with male Formula One racers Bruno Tetuanui and Brendon Ellis. Although the affair with Tetuanui was brief, there was no denying it was full-throttle. Her current relationship with Ellis is rumoured to have started in mid-late 2022, and the couple live in Los Angeles together when Ellis is off-season and Kealoha is not touring. At best, her charity work is allyship from someone who profits off false claims of her being part of a community. Further, she has pulled Ellis into her charade, forcing him to go to LGBTQ+ events with her despite neither being a true part of the community other than allyship.
With little proof other than a claim from the woman herself, it's safe to say that Kealoha is hardly bisexual in practice as much as she is verbally. In the age of uplifting queer artists, it's no wonder her band's albums outsold many of their straight counterparts; three members of MARS—dubbed the tri-bi's at an album release party by Kealoha—claim bisexuality without evidence. The band even went so far as to have their 2022 sophomore album, Escape Velocity, colour-coded the same as the bisexual flag. A marketing ploy at best. Colours do not dictate sexual orientation, nor do lyrics that never venture into same sex relationships.
There have been numerous opportunities for the Hawaiian singer to showcase her bisexuality, but newsflash, kissing another woman on the cheek at a Grammys red carpet doesn't count.

2. EDDIE YAMAGUCHI
[PHOTO: Boxer Eddie Yamaguchi kisses rumoured beau photographer and singer, Axel Canterbury, on a balcony before leading him back into his apartment complex.]
It must be hard to be a straight woman in a such a violently masculine sport, we can't really blame Eddie Yamaguchi for trying to claim queerness in a male-dominated space. It'd be easier to do so than admit nobody wanted her other than that. Masculine energy paired with a lack of romantic relationships surrounding her, it's unsurprising that Yamaguchi has claimed to be part of the LGBTQ+ community in her years in the spotlight. This has changed in the recent months, being photographed countless times with sports photographer and alternative singer, Axel Canterbury. The two have been rumoured to be romantically involved since her fight in New Orleans, where insiders have reported he was seen going into her dressing room before and after the fight, and where they stayed at the same hotel.
Yamaguchi is constantly seen at LGBTQ+ clubs in her free time, never going home with anyone who isn't male, not to mention, she's often overly intoxicated on her way out. She is frequently photographed leaving houses and apartment complexes in mornings wearing clothes from the night before, and her speculated relationship with Canterbury is no different from this 'norm' she has developed in the press. Photographers caught the photo above only days ago, the two practically flaunting their relationship for the world to see.
Rarely seen anywhere other than someone's apartment or having someone leave her own, Yamaguchi is hardly the poster child for anything role-model related, let alone anything belonging to the queer community she claims to be a part of. Always trending worldwide for the wrong reasons and trying to join a trend also for the wrong reasons, Yamaguchi is never on the right side of the narrative, it seems, and her sexuality claims are no different to the image she's created for herself.

1. MAVERICK
[PHOTO: Musician and DJ Kingston Maverick with girlfriend, Everleigh Meadowlark, at the 2023 Grammy Awards; the singer won his only nomination for Best Duo/Group performance with MARS.]
Our number one offender of claiming bisexuality with zero evidence is singer-songwriter Kingston Maverick, better known only by his last name. With two public relationships under his belt, Maverick is not known for his relationships with men. The first was with MiLB announcer and former fiancée, Rhylan Whitlock. Over the years Maverick has claimed they dated for nearly nine years, but the duo were photographed together as late as 2021, which would make their relationship timeline closer to 14 years. Some fans believe that this relationship went longer than 2021 and overlapped with his current one, though nothing has ever been confirmed. The second relationship Maverick has had is his current one with Everleigh Meadowlark, a nurse, who he has been with since early 2022; around the time the singer moved to London, England from Windsor, Ontario. The two now have houses in Toronto, Ontario and London and split their time between the two. Whether the cheating rumours are real or not, Maverick has hardly had time between relationships to date men and prove his romantic feelings about them.
Trailers for Keira Lim's latest film, You Can't Kill Rock and Roll, have proven that Maverick has gone farther than the rest, earning him the top spot on this list, by taking away jobs from actual queer performers. The singer is credited as a solo act for his work on the music for the film, the plot of which follows a lesbian singer and her band. Another excuse for Maverick to sing about relationships with women under the guise of being bisexual—this time a little more cleverly masked. It's clear this singer wants to win Grammy without hiding behind someone else, and he's willing to do anything to get it. Birds of a feather flock together, and his friendship with our number seven spot proves that.
Do you agree with our choices? What other celebrities have you suspicious with their claims of queer identities?
