Sadao took a seat and breathed in deeply before speaking, "One day, My soul became aware of a way for it to leave Gehenna, what is known as hell. At that time, my body was busy conquering a place called Ente Isla. Knowing that, my soul allowed the organization known as the Illuminati to supply it with power. The illuminati created the gate that allowed my body to flee from Gehenna, although they weren't aware of that being the purpose of the gate."

"How did they create the gate?" Ciel interjected.

"They used magic," Sadao responded.

"Once my body was here in Assiah, my soul went looking for someone who it could possess and it found them."

"That would be Alex," William interrupted, standing off to the side, observing Sadao.

Sadao nodded, "Alex was suitable and my soul used her to get close to The elector in the hopes of giving him a piece of it. The plan was for the elector to unknowingly pass that piece onto my body but then Rin and that Angel showed up. The Angel's half known as Ash was then dominated and he was given the piece instead. Once this was done, The illuminati's only purpose was to supply my body and soul with power. But you see, the more fear that is created by humans, The more powerful I am."

"I see. So to supply you with power, the Illuminati needed to create fear," Ciel said.

Sadao nodded again. "Yes. But The illuminati wanted me to assist them; that was the deal between them and my soul. I was to assist them by making them leaders."

Ciel narrowed his eyes. "What do you mean?"

"Well...it's always been my goal to unite Gehenna and Assiah. Ever since Yuri and I spoke of it; a world where humans and demons can coexist as one. That was and still is my goal. I owe it to Yuri to make it a reality. But in doing so, I would have created an entirely new world. The only question left was who would run it? The Illuminati agreed to help me achieve my goal. In exchange, they would be the ones to Run things. You see, I'm much too weak to handle such a task. I can barely produce enough magic on my own."

"That doesn't explain what happened to the Illuminati. Did your demons put an end to them?" Ciel questioned.

"No," Sadao responded. "The illuminati were not killed by my associates. My guess is, someone more powerful discovered what they were doing and stopped it. You have to remember, the angels hate my guts. Its possible they had something to do with it. From what I hear, The arch Angel Michael is wandering about. I wouldn't put it past him to kill humans. Although the angels call it purging the impure,"
