*Delsin's POV*:

*a few minutes earlier*

"Delsin, you can't just go face to face against Augustine now! Even though you have smoke, neon, AND video, she's still strong!!!"

"So? Our people are dying at home man!! I need to fight against that concrete queen sooner or later whenever you like it or not!!", I shouted, feeling completely pissed at the argument that we have yet again. Reggie here had supported me all the time to get stronger by searching those core relays for me to absorb but he still thinks that it is a bad idea to get to her and leech onto her power. I NEED that power or the tribe will die if the concretes won't get removed from them!

By now I was furious. I got up and got really close to his face, clenching my fists tightly to let out some smoke from it. "Reg...I have to do it for the tribe. If I hadn't shut up back there, none of this would have happened!!"

"But that's not your fault goddamn it Delsin! Why can't you realize it!!", I could only shake my head and gripped onto his collar to pull him closer, my now angry gaze piercing into his. If looks could kill, he would be dead by now. 

"Reg...I love you brother but sometimes you are a pain in the ass. Let me do my job and do yours as a cop, got it?", I let go of him and rushed out from the room, slamming the door shut. I get that he really is worried that I might get killed by the DUP or worse, getting caught by them but I have to save our tribe, our family. 

Once I went outside, I looked up at the sky. Yup, the rain didn't definitely lighten up my mood. Maybe a walk wouldn't hurt for now, or tagging would be even better!

Hm, where should I tag my next masterpiece-

"No stop, my kid isn't a bioterrorist!!"

I heard someone shout. It looked like it came from that alley. As I walked over there, I saw a person, whose face got covered by their hood clenching their fists as they- wait is that a pole?? And- WAIT ARE THEY CRAZY, RUNNING DIRECTLY TOWARDS THE DUP SOLDIER!?

They- How are they strong to slam that soldier against the wall with that- iron pole? And how are they be able to lift them up - wait is that fire I see on their other hand?

Another conduit huh, ok I shouldn't be surprised about that- hold up Delsin, they're about to kill him! Do something!

I immediately shot a smoke ball next to them to get their attention which I successfully did. When they turned their head around to look at me, I felt something familiar to them...but I can't remember what. 

Quickly getting out from my thoughts, that unknown person threw the soldier at me and I quickly caught them, pinning him down with smoke as I ran after them.

They sure are fast! And how they are jumping from one rooftop to another, I'm amazed! Maybe I can team up with them once I talked with them-

Ok focus again Delsin, catch that person, and then we'll see. Suddenly they turned around and jumped backward, taking out their iron pole to light it up and sending a fire blow directly at me. Before I could even react to it, it hit me and I fell down onto a pile of boxes.

'That's gotta hurt in the morning.', I groaned out in pain as I slowly sat up and looked up at the person looking down at me from the building. "Who the hell even was that..?", I yet groaned out in pain.

Not even a second later, I could hear civilians gasping at the person on the roof. "It's the phoenix!!", one of them shouted.

Phoenix huh? What a badass name. Why can't they call me that instead of Bannerman!?

They flinched at the nickname and immediately disappeared out from our sights as I sighed in defeat. I got up from the pile and dusted myself off.

Ok, lemme rethink every information I have gotten. First, they're a conduit, at least a fire conduit which means, I won't be able to get their power since fire and smoke is almost the same power. Second, their melee weapon is an iron pole and their movements are quite skilled, which means that they are doing this for quite some time. Third, everyone here calls them Phoenix.

I need to find out who that person is. I still have that feeling that I have met them somewhere. But where could I get that information?

..Eugene! I could call him and ask if he could hack into the DUP system to gather some information about them! Ok, and maybe I could ask Reggie too about them.

Damn Del, you're smart and on fire again! No pun intended-

I pulled out my phone and dialed the number. "Hey Reggie, I need to talk to you, I'll meet you back in our room."
