Elena walked up to Sera's house and rang the doorbell. She heard a few giggles from Willow as the door opened to reveal a tired looking Sera and a smiley Willow dancing to a tune she was humming.

"Ellie! Come in!" smiled Sera as she stepped into the house.

"Hey, I brought some cookies for Willow and ice cream. Is that ok?"

"Yeah! Totally. You can give her one now if you want."

Ellie crouched down to face the smiley one and a half year old.

"Uncle Ellie!" Willow exclaimed.

"Hmm, does Willow want a cookie?"

"Yes! Yes!" she squealed, excited at the prospect of getting a cookie.

Elena handed over the cookie and walked towards the living room where Sera was setting up something.

"So.. what're we doing today for our girls day?"

"I thought that we could do our nails and then maybe watch a movie? Maybe we could bake after some time as well."

"That sounds great!" she said.

Maybe a fun day would get her mind off the recent events and she sat down on the beanbag as Sera got out her nail polishes.

"Any colour in particular?"

"Maroon maybe?"

Sera nodded and started to file her nails when Willow came running. She had probably finished the cookie.

"Mama! I want wainbow!" she said referring to the nail polish.

"Ok honey. Wait for Elena's to be done. In the meantime, could you maybe draw a picture?"

"Okay!" she replied enthusiastically before running off the find paper to draw an 'oof-oof'.

While Sera painted Elena's nails, she kept quiet. It was a comfortable sort of a silence until Sera broke it.

"I'm sorry about Jonah. Really sorry. I just didn't know he'd shout that at you.."

"Yeah, it's mainly my fault. Don't take it personally."

"Elena. You didn't know."

"Where has he gone?"

"Some university thing.

"Oh."

"Yeah, he has high hopes for this one."

"What's he doing?"

"Microbiology."

"Oh."

"What about you?"

"Microbiology."

"No way! It's such a coincidence! Hmm, done! Your nails look beautiful!"

"Sera, they look beautiful! Thanks a lot."

Sera waved her hands indicating that it was nothing and lifted Willow up onto the chair to paint her nails 'like a rainbow'. This time, it was just general chat until Sera leaned back and winced.

"Are you ok?"

"Yeah. Just pulled a muscle. I'm fine."

"If anything happens, you need to tell me."

She nodded.

Elena helped pack everything away and then turned the TV on to put on Moana when the door opened and a familiar voice yelled, "SERA! I'M HOME AND I GOT IN!"

It was Jonah and Sera's calm face had morphed into a surprised expression.

"They were very nice to me and I couldn't be more-"

His voice grew louder until he reached the room and saw Elena looking at him.

"What're you doing here?" he asked in a low voice.

"Spending time with my niece and sister in law."

"Ok."

"Jonah, I'm sorry. You don't know how much I've regret-"

"Not now. I don't have time for this."

"Just listen please."

"Don't Elena-"

"Forget it."

She looked at Sera as she was going to leave only to see her taking deep breaths and closing her eyes.

"Sera, are you ok?"

Her eyes flickered open and her face was twisted into a frown.

"I think my water broke."

And at that statement, Jonah and Elena started to panic.

"You," she said pointing at Jonah, "get her and Willow in the car. I'll call your mum and drive to the hospital."

"Okay." he said obligingly and ran off to get Willow and strap her into the car seat after helping Sera get in while Elena was phoning Maura.

"Maura? It's Elena. No time for that. Sera's water broke and we're taking her to the hospital. Yeah, Ella Maines right? Ok. See you." and she got in the car and checked Sera who was squeezing Jonah's hand while Willow looked terrified.

She started the engine and drove as quickly as she could to A&E and parked the car by the entrance before running out to talk to a nurse.

"Her water broke. Needs to get in there now." she said panicking and then guided them over to the car where Sera was in agony. The slowly put her into a bed and wheeled her inside leaving Jonah, Elena and Willow running after them looking bewildered.

Jonah and Willow had sat on one end of the bench and Elena on the other. Willow was seeking reassurance from Jonah about Sera when Jules, his mum and Sera's parents ran in.

"Is she ok?" asked Jules.

"We don't know." replied Jonah and Elena in unison.

Jules' mouth formed an 'o' and he sat near Elena looking stressed. Then, the doctor walked out looking a bit worried.

"Family of Serafina Reyes?" she asked.

They nodded.

"Um, there's some complications from the accident a few years ago," Jules' eyes widened and he looked scared, "Her hip is in fragile condition and it's being stressed a lot right now. There is a high chance for internal bleeding anytime during her labour."

A/N: Sera's never had it easy has she? IT'S THE LAST CHAPTER BEFORE THE EPILOGUE!! Also, 7K?!? Whaaat! That's so cool! Thank you so much.

I'm sorry if this is rushed but I have to go to some places today and tomorrow and I really wanted to update (as I have the daily update game going strong 😂) . :)
