Day 3: Visitor
I know that I am not alone,
that I have people to call my own,
a place to be my home,
But it isn't mine at all,
sometimes I belong,
sometimes I am all alone,
I seem to not know where my home is,
It could be where I am,
Or where I have been,
Or a place that I'll never know,
I'm a mere visitor of all the places I go,
I know all the ins and outs,
But am not satisfied,
So I go,
I may appear to be here with you,
Permanent to stay,
Truthfully I could decide not to go,
I could change my ways,
I may seem to be your life long friend,
Good buddies in you're eyes,
In truth, we're only coexisting,
Simply living side by side,
I'm only a temporary visitor in your world,
While forever you'll be affecting mine,
Others deciding whether I turn in my visitors pass for a whole girl,
Is it worth it?
Am I happy here?
Do I wish to stay?
My words are just a game,
But my heart can still somehow be betrayed,
I do not know whether to leave
Or to stay
To visit
Or to live
If I wish to travel
Or to be brave
To cry in happiness
Or smile in dismay
I am the visitor,
Thanks for reading! I'm sorry that today's update came later in the day, but most of Pickled Updates will be in the late nights. Apologies for that in advance and I hope that ya'll enjoy today's poem!
~Your favorite cactus hugger! (Hopefully, I'm the only cactus hugger that you know because cactus hugging is dangerous buisness)
