Nell has followed Brother Ray since the start of The War of the Five Kings. She'd listened to his gospel, cooked meals beside him, and now she is treating the beast of a man they call The Hound. 

He hates her, but she knows he hates everyone, so it's fine. In fact, annoying Sandor Clegane has become her favorite pastime. Slowly yet surely, she chips away at his exterior, learning more about the man beneath the scar. 

He's learning more about her too, and realizing that not all scars are visible.
