Turmoils of the Heart!

I can understand the tragedy,

And what it evokes in you,

All the frustration and the misery,

Of what you can possibly do...

Righteous and justified you may be,

Unhappy and devastated that you are,

It's easy enough for me to see,

That you might be happier apart..

But I'm hesitant to interfere,

Because I'm afraid of what it may mean,

Since a choice between people I hold dear,

Will mean one of you might leave.

As long as I remain stuck in between,

Feelings unresolved and uncertain,

I cannot offer either of you, your reprieve,

Unless you mean to make amends..

But you've crossed lines beyond repair,

That I fear it's of no avail,

As you've no love to spare,

To try and make your marriage prevail...

All I ask is for a little time,

To come to terms with circumstance,

So that I can finally decide,

After considering every consequence..

Let me accept the magnitude

Of what I'm about to do,

Of what it means to finally choose,

And tear this family into two..
