The middle of the year

Where has the time all gone

What happened to those solutions

From promised resolutions

The way ahead we thought we'd won

Upon closer self inspection

When we look at our reflection

Have those expectations all become undone

Are we satisfied with who we see

Say with confidence . . . that's me

Show the world this face and not a different one

If you're unhappy who you are

You'll not get very far

No matter how fast you try to run

You need to believe in the effect

Of having total self respect

Neither better or worse but equal to anyone
