Marvel fans don't read this

I'm sick of hearing about Endgame. Especially when I'm on Twitter and people's usernames are something along the lines of "... watched endgame" or "... no spoilers". Yes, I understand that no one wants spoilers. I've seen tweets going around with #don'tspoiltheendgame. So I think it's safe to say that not too many people spoiling it, especially considering that they wouldn't want it spoiled either. And who cares if you saw it? You don't have to announce it to everyone in your username.

Also, why do you want to see a 3 hour movie? I could never tolerate that, I get too antsy. Yeah yeah I get that it's the last avengers movie or something, but 3 hours? You want to tolerate 3 hours of being in the dark staring at a huge, bright screen? Suit yourself I guess. I'll be enjoying watching Shrek AND The Bee Movie while you're sitting in a dark theater with a bunch of strangers.

Look, I've been criticized for never seeing a Marvel movie. (The most I saw of one was the first third of Black Panther at a friend's house.) I'm not that big of a movie person anyway. I haven't seen a movie in a theater in over a year. That's my excuse. And with all this endgame hype happening around me (notice the word "around", which indicates that I am not involved in the hype), I'm not interested in getting into the hype. In fact, it's making me want to watch it less and less.

That's one thing that bothers me- over-advertising. It makes me less inclined to do what you want. A good example would be TV channels, such as Disney Channel, that try to shove their content down your throat, such as Disney Channel constantly advertising the Kim Possible live action movie. The more you show me this, the less likely I am to want to watch it. I guess it's just a me thing? Oh well.

I feel somewhat left out that no one is sharing in my indifference to the movie. But since it's such a popular movie and franchise, who would share my opinion anyway? It's not like I don't have enough contrasting opinions with people I know already.

I'd say chill out/shut up people, it's just a movie, but I know y'all gonna be coming at me like

[There should be a GIF or video here. Update the app now to see it.]

Conclusion: ok, I don't mind that you're excited about the movie, but please for the love of all things sacred and cheesy, please stop talking about it everywhere. I'd like to have a normal conversation for once that has absolutely no mention of this movie.

(Quick note- one of my friends on here and Twitter posted a lot of endgame related things on Twitter. If you're reading this, I'm not directing that first paragraph all on you. I've gotten many tweets from many other people as well.) I'm not tagging the person because they are a very big Marvel fan and the title says "Marvel fans don't read this".
