The spring break story/rant
Last chapter, I mentioned that I had an interesting and frustrating story to tell about my spring break.
The week band left for the Savannah trip was the last week before spring break, which was a week long. (So after we got back from the trip, we were on spring break.) So when my friend's mom dropped me off at home after we came back on Sunday, around 8:30, my mom told me we were going to the beach. I was dead tired and did not want to go to another hotel, having been at one for the past 4 days. I just wanted to stay at home. I had about 10 minutes at home before we had to leave and drive to the hotel, which was an hour and a half (ish) away. All I grabbed was my DS and the charger, and brought my luggage bags from the trip.
So we get there and it's dark and cold, the weather was the shittiest I've ever seen it at that beach- it was dry and windy the whole time- and guess who forgot to bring a jacket. I thought I'd packed it before leaving to Savannah so I didn't even have it then either. I couldn't find it when I was at home, because someone moved it from where I'm pretty sure it was (probably on the floor in my room). And as I mentioned, the weather was brutal. I had to wear my mom's huge pullover jacket that blocked absolutely no wind. I was forced into walking to the boardwalk and back to the hotel with my parents and sisters, and the constant blowing wind was giving me a headache. Which is why I now am scared of strong winds- it always gives me headaches, and I always think of this. And since it was so cold, we couldn't go swimming, which is actually a good thing because I did not want to go swimming (even if the weather was good. We go swimming every time we go to a hotel and it always takes up so much of my day.) Also the tide was insanely high- the water was all the way up to the stairs where you walk down to the sand. To which I kept saying "Dudes, he made me experience high tiiiiiiiide! Ahhhahahhhh"

So we were at that hotel for 3 days. The last day, we left around the middle of the day, and I was finally at home! I was so happy to finally relax at home- for more than 10 minutes! I got to sleep in my own bed, not some tiny bed with lousy sheets and pillows! However, the next morning, I was alerted that we were going to yet another hotel... for one night. One night?! Why even bother? "Oh it's a presidential suite!" my mom said. Yes, while presidential suites are cool and all, is it really worth it for just one night? Besides, if my brother doesn't have to come, why should I? I've already been in 2 hotels within the past week, and I just want to stay at home. Not only that, but one of my sister's soccer friends was staying with us. I don't really know the people on my sisters' soccer teams or go to their soccer games, so I always feel awkward around them. At least she was one of the quieter kids, according to my dad.
The second hotel wasn't too bad- of course, it's the same resort we've gone to for over 10 years, so it's grown staler and staler each time we go. The weather was nice, which meant swimming all day. Yee haw. I got a little sunburnt on my shoulders, which made me mad. I hate sunburn.
TLDR- I went from hotel to hotel to hotel and I didn't want to go to the last 2.
Oh, one more detail I didn't know where to add: on Saturday when I was in Savannah, my sister (the oldest of my younger sisters) went on the special trip that our family does- our aunt and uncle will take each of us on a trip to a place in the US. She chose to go to San Diego, and by the time I got home, she was already gone. She got back late on the last day of spring break and I hadn't seen her since Wednesday of last week (I had to wake up really early on Thursday, so I didn't see her then.) I missed her a lot.
