Chapter 8: Just A Drop

You know those days when you're just so tired you want to just hit your head against the wall, this is all The Vampire Diaries fault. I mean why do they make such good shows? so that sixteen-year-old girls like me won't be able to sleep?

I take a quick shower and put on some clothes and hurried down the stairs to have breakfast. I felt my stomach make a really loud noise because after I reached home last night I went straight to bed to watch TVD and ended up sleeping in the spot. I also think it's Lucas's fault for calling me his 'sister' ew. Imagine that all this time I wanted to tell him I liked him as he refers to me as his sister that's just messed up, and a turn-off.

"You're up?" I hear a deep voice say from behind me. I turn around to see my dad fully dressed in his uniform. Dad usually leaves before I wake up because it's just better that way.

"Yep," I say popping the p as I take some eggs and scrambled them for dad and I. He eats in silence as he pays more attention to his phone than me. We don't really talk that much, but if we do, it's usually just school stuff or about me being late or something I've done to get myself in trouble.

"Bye, dad!" I say taking my bag and phone as I rush to catch the bus. I hate taking the bus, it's something I just really loathe to do before going to school that's why I always have to beg Theo to give me his car every single morning.

I enter the bus when the bus driver sees me he rolls his eyes. He hates me as much as I hate this bus, and it's a very long story.

I look around the bus and look at the obnoxious kids as I wrinkle my nose and walk to the back of the bus. I take a seat and Huff not feeling slight good today.

"Hey!" I hear a voice say. I turn my head and look at the one thing I don't want to see today, or ever. Freddie my science lab partner from last year. I don't even know how I survived with him. I mean he's a nice guy But he's absolutely disgusting.

"Hi," I say as he sits down beside me. He gives me a huge smile as I see that he had a few boogers poking out of his nose. He wipes his nose by his white sweater and pushes his glasses up. He being his school bag to his lap and takes out a sandwich. I immediately closed my nose at the tuna smell from it. I closed my eyes let a breath out and turned to the window.

"Hey, bitach!" Olivia greets when she sees me walking into the school.

"Why so pale?" She frowns looking at my face. I shrug and walk to my locker not feeling the need to talk. "So how was detention? Also, how could you not tell me?!" She squeaks out the last part gently frightening me. I turn to her with a confused look and furrow my eyebrows.

"What?" I asked dumb folded.

"Sam totally asked you out! You didn't even tell me that! How dare you?!" I roll my eyes at her taking my biology books out of my locker and closing the door.

"I myself didn't even know he asked me out. How was I supposed to tell you exactly?" I roll my eyes again as I hear my stomach rumble.

"You are soo naive Thea! I mean you're some badass prankster but still so naive! I mean when a guy asks you out you should know! Right?" She says gripping her hair excitedly.

"So? Anyways I'm gonna cancel those plans anyway. I thought he just wanted to hang out." I shrug walking to my biology class.

"Hey, Thea!" An unknown girl greets me and I wave at her.

"Hey, Thea. Nice work on Mrs. Adolf!" A football player says highflying me. I look at him confused. I didn't do anything.

"Gosh Thea. That was hilarious! Can't wait to see your next move!" A guy laughs holding his stomach as he walks past me.

"Okay...." Olivia also looks confused as I am. She knows that I also have no idea why people are congratulating me by the looks of my face, so she doesn't ask me. This only happened when I pulled off a prank and I didn't really do anything this time. "You can't cancel any plans with him! You have to go on that date with him!" Olivia says out of blue completely ignoring what just happened.

"Nah. Dating isn't my style," I say slapping the air.

"I know you Thea and it is. You may act like you're all badass and clumsy, but we all know you're a sucker for romance!" Olivia says cheerily as she jumps up and down.

"Nope," I say rolling my eyes at her words. Even though it's true I don't want to admit it. "Also I have biology to get to." I wave at her with a frown. Olivia laughs and then walks over to her class.

I sigh and enter the class thinking of how good summer was and how I missed it, watching tv shows all day and eating pizza....

"Ahhh... Mrs. Jones. We were just deciding on the lab partners." Mr. Franco said when he saw me. Mr. Franco is everyone's favorite teacher. He was last years new hot teacher because of how good looking he is with his cheek bones and not to mention how hot he is. A lot of girls were flirting with him except me. They even tried to ask him out, except me. I actually kind of hated him for a second because he partnered me with Freddie.

My eyes immediately widened when the thought of Freddie being my lab partner again crossed my mind.

"Don't worry. You won't get Freddie this time." Mr. Franco whispered to me. I sighed out a breath of relief as I looked around my class. There were new students here as well as old ones.

My eyes spotted Sam as he winked at me. I let out a low groan when I saw him.

"Okay, class. This year I've chosen  your lab partners and I hope you end up with ones you actually want because some of you weren't very happy with them last year that you hated me." Mr. Franco started laughing when he looked at me. I glared at him as some girls giggled. I rolled my eyes waiting for him to announce my lab partner so that I could actually sit down instead of standing here.

"Grant and Bills." Mr. Franco said as the two boys shouted high-fiving each other. Laughs went across the room at how happy they were. Last year Mr. Franco didn't know any of us so he just paired us up randomly, but I hoped he learned his lesson this year.

"Hillary and Sam." He went on as I stood there like an idiot. Sam gave Mr. Franco a glare as he forcefully sat next to Hilary who had a huge smile on her face.

"Thea and Jayden." He said and I immediately gave him a grin. I like Jayden he's a pretty cool dude if you ask me, except for that time he dragged me with him for his shirt, I actually don't see the reason he had to take me with him I gave Franco a smile as he gave me a thumbs up. I laughed as I walked over to Jayden who had no expression when he saw me coming.

"Hi!" I said cheerily when I saw him. He was sitting comfortably in the back as he had one earphone in his ear. He gave me a weak wave and I sat down. Progress.

"Freddie and Bianca," Franco said. Then there was a shriek. The blonde headed Bianca stood up as she started to give Freddie a disgusted look and honestly all I was thinking was that I didn't want to be her at the moment. There were a few guys who were laughing as she walked over to him. He gave her smile as she takes out her spray and sprayed his face. Freddie immediately shrieked as it got to his eyes.

I zoned them out as I turned to look at Jayden. He's eyes were closed as he just sat there. I took in his featuring realizing how hot he was, with his cheekbones and those green eyes. He wasn't the school's dangerous boy for no reason. He didn't really have any friends.

Jayden opened his eyes immediately catching me in the action of me staring at his beautiful face. I quickly turned to Mr. Franco acting like I wasn't looking at him.

"Okay. So now you see the wizard potions on your tables. I'd like you to used them to burrnnn the Witccchh!" Mr. Franco says dramatically. I roll my eyes at him giving away a smile at how goofy he is. "But seriously class. I need you to look at page 33 and copy the ingredients. Everything is placed on your desk. Use them wisely." Wait. I thought I was in bio? I looked at Franco confused.

"What is it, Mrs. Jones?" He asks me when he sees my confused face.

"Um. I thought I was in biology?" I say furrowing my eyebrows. The class started laughing as Mr. Franco rolls his eyes at me probably thinking I was joking but I wasn't!

"Seriously." I looked at Jayden who gave me a smudged smile. My heart immediately dropped at how cute he looked when he smiled.

"So. How do we start?" Jayden asked as he sat up straight. I was actually surprised by his words.

"How about you instruct me and I do?" I say as he nods his head. I think that playing with chemicals is going to be fun especially since I wasn't with Freddie.

Jayden lays the book in front of him as he read the instructions out loud for me.

"Add the what?" I say when tells me to add something. He repeats his words as I take the chemical and add it.

"Just a drop." He reads. My eyes immediately widened in the midpoint of me almost pouring the whole container. The liquid starts to rise as bubbles come out of it. Jayden and I immediately look at each other and get off our chairs and back away from the chemical.

"Mrs. Jones. Mr. McCole?" Franco says but he's cut when there was smoke coming from the container that was filled with chemicals.

"Whoops," I say shrugging as the room fills with smoke. The fire alarm goes off and everyone starts to cough. Mr. Franco immediately evacuates the room as he pushes us out for our own safety.

Great. Even when I don't try I always manage to mess up.
